Oh thats too bad, that hasnt happend to me yet on GT5, although I was a victim of the save glitch on F1 2010. (saving during practice and loosing everything.)

The Japanese players must be on pins and needles with all the rolling blackouts they have due to loss of electrical power from the nuclear meltdown thing.

I found a different F1 2010 glitch where it would freeze as it loads up the main menu when starting up the game. Had to revert to an older save. Thought the disc was bust and got a new one as well.

So. What does everyone think of my Toscana track? Ive worked out the race times as well so i know what to set the track to so its not too dark at the end.
 
I added the latest entry, and removed brandofo who said he couldn't race with manual.

As an aside, the F2007 voters are very close to unseating the F10/F2007 voters which means we may be running F2007 only depending on how the next 4 days of voting goes and how many people have the F2007. If you dont own the F2007 thou shall speakith or be forever cast into the open slot realm. Whatever

Isn't that really dark? From what I could tell the track was nice, just hard to see.

Ive looked at all the different track times. If you set it to start at 7.40pm game time then visibility is no problem. Ive been able to race the track at 8.50pm game time. Maybe its my TV or maybe I have good Eye sight. its a shame that SSR5 doesnt have time change on it
 
Okay, the Game is out. We now have 3 opens. Over the next week try and see guys, if we can get all the slots filled.

I know its not peanuts to drive these cars with no assists but GT5 physics are more challenging than F1 2010's (with force feedback and such when the car starts to slide). Its more fun because it adds a simulation element to a council game which is unique.

I'd set the time so it would be close to dusk. Turn the lighting up on settings if you cant see well (I do that all the time.)

My mate is 800k off a F10. I'll ask him to join. I think it glitched to get that money because its impossible to get 7 million cr in 3 hours. Btw we should be careful about that poll because if its F2007 or F10 only then loads of slots will become open as people leave.

P.S. will my track have a chance at hosting a round of the championship?
 
Yeah I just added the Toscana as the last circuit of the season, 10 weeks from now. I dont think I can afford to make it F10 or F2007 only for that reason. Funny 35 people vote and I have open slots. Go figure, these cars are tough to drive. As another aside, we have more registered (voted) than the GTP F1 2010 championship game on the other thread over at the codemasters.

If there slots are still open i just may join in the fun with an F2007. But I just got it, and need to take it for some test/tuning runs. I'l probably get on in a little while and give it a go, I'll come back and let you know.

As far as I can see, we are allowed to use ABS:1 correct? I race with everything else off and i think most serious racers do the same. ABS: OFF in GT5 just seems unrealistic. You so much as push the pedal in a mm and the everything locks up like crazy. ABS:1 feels more like a real vehicle without abs.

Just my 2 cents.
 
Im hosting a test session for the series at Toscana atm if anyone is interested. Private lounge. Btw, if anyone joins the championship, can i be informed so I can send out a friend request to you so you can download the Toscana track off me for the end of season.
 
Yeah you can use ABS 1, but with a manual transmission. Weird, I dont have the locking up problem at all in F1 cars. Only at low speeds. Stomp the brakes in your street car, if there's no ABS they lock up.

Dont do it at 20 mph though, do it from 60 or 70 mph. ;)
 
I think this championship, when it finally begins, will be BRILLIANT. Oh and my mate has his F10 now so i've asked him to enter. Will the races be every week once the season starts?

I've added everybody in the championship so I would be more than happy to host if you can't. Unless you would rather be there always.

I was wondering about points scoring. With two championships, do you score points according to overall finish in each race or according to your finish within class? Also, could Cuircuit De La Sarthe '05 be changed to SSR5. it would be enjoyable with these cars as the massive straights are boring and you just bounce on the rev line.

Hosting isn't a problem for me. If anyone hasn't added me yet, make sure you add me before the race. I'll open the room according to the times in the OP. Btw Rich, i'm gona work out how to allow you to edit the championship results spreadsheet as well.

I might change it might not. :nervous: The 05 version with the chicanes isnt bad. Now driving down the full length mulsanne in the F10 is a real hassle. The Force feedback on your wheel will shake the whole table or desk your at.

Without the extra runoff the race will break up a bit before the Dunlop overpass. You really have to slow down or your in the sand. I dont see more than 5 cars coming onto the straight together even on the 1st lap.

Remember to send out some PM's on PSN before you open the Fuji race up. Your at the helm Golfer.

Golfer should host today. I am wasted from being up all night (painful to be awake). I will be in the room though, and I'll watch the race to make sure nobody tries any monkey business with the racing. Golfer, post the room # and or just do it in your lounge.
 
Im gona use open lounge as tyres provide more grip in open due to the physics being odd. Also, not everyone has added me. Ive sent out friend requests but only a few replies. If you don't wish to add me, it will give them an oppourtunity to join.

EDIT:

don't worry if you can't make it to the race. Its only a pratice race. The season is starting next week I believe so that's when it all gets interesting. About 500 minutes of racing in the whole season. 500 minutes of the worlds fastest race machines.

in case you were wondering how d-unexpected was so fast, he would go wide way off the track on the first and last turn almost every lap
