we could try to price fix some players, with enough of us we could make a killing...i know some people may hate it, but it's how people make millions. It's a horrible method but so rewarding
 
Me as well, I may not have much to sell though.

Does a USA gold team sound legit? I saw really cheap Howard and a Donovan for under 2,000, and I bet Michael Bradley and some of our better defenders wouldn't be too bad on price.

I did snag the orange Barca kit for 1,500, really helpful because I can actually contrast my players now. I want United's home kit.
 
Could also do actual decent trades!

Different tastes of players etc. suit different people.
Instead of trying to offload in the store just ask here!

:lol: I do have some cool stuff, just not players yet. I like buying kits and stadiums for cheap. I already have the cool-looking Arabian stadium and PSG and Inter's home kit, as well as the aforementioned Barca one.

And I think I figured something else out. Are my players not making runs because they're bronze and therefore horrible? I figured the chemistry made the random runs happen, as well as some extra 50-50 balls rolling your way.

SO a quick sum up from me on FIFA 13 so far. Before I go on though, I am not an ultimate team player so I don't really have anything to say about it in 13.

I am really enjoying the games presentation, has a much more Sky Sports feel to it than before, seems like with every iteration it get more and more TV like. Little touches like the scores being read out as you tinker round the menu's and the cup draws being read out as you anxiously wait to hear who you have been drawn against add to the immersion somewhat.

I haven't bought a FIFA game since 09 so I am also hugely impressed by it all. It just makes the interfaces nicer places to browse.

This translates into the game, its definitely feels more unpredictable to play, theres more loose balls, interceptions, deflections and so on. And many many more runs from players, user and AI sides both seem to ooze intelligence with runs and its a joy to watch and play. Even if your defence does get ripped apart sometimes :p . And again the broadcast aspect shows itself in game as well, much more TV like angles, more activity around the stadium with cameras, officials, even the managers patrolling the technical areas, improved player likenesses and the commentary is very good indeed.

Completely agree except for the player runs part. My forwards and wingers don't seem to like looking for that yard of space, but it's a brilliant game to play. No doubt.

In fact I think commentary is one thing that has come on leaps and bounds, used to be an instant "turn it off" for me before even hearing it but now its a mainstay in my experiance. It flows a lot better than it used to and they talk about relevant things. The additions of Geoff Shreeves with his touchline reporting on injuries is superb and actually helps you gauge what might need to be done, whilst the option to select other games to receive updates from is cool, and brilliantly delivered by the ever enthusiastic Alan McInally.

I'm on the Tyler & Smith commentary and I do like it indeed. Them bringing up a few anecdotes from time to time just makes the commentary feel a little bit more fluid.

As noted above, my BAP career is a little bit too easy but this doesn't stop me from enjoying it. I'll be handing in a transfer request in January and then I'm on my way to the top!

Everything else is more tweaked than revamped, first touch control is superb now, the impact engine is very detailed and much much improved over last year, makes the games looking incredibly realistic and superb. Transfers feel a lot more involving and it feels much nicer to close a deal, you also have more options like counter offers, loan with option to buy and even player swaps. You can also now change club mid season through the managers office, should another vacancy arise that you wish to go for. No more waiting to the end of the season to see who wants you.

I'd give it a solid 93%, purely because I'm critical of giving anything maximum scores.

I'm going to give the game 95% still a few things that need tweaking before perfection. It's the most fun FIFA game i've ever played since 05/06!

I think I am maybe just noticing the ones they do make more after playing PES 13 and FIFA 12 so much where they make virtually none at all. :D
 
Have a look over on operation sports for some good sliders.
I got a brilliant set for 12. Maybe there still tweaking but it improved 12 for me no end.

Ps I was playing on manual.
 
Got Donovan for 800. Dempsey may be a bit more complicated.
 
Chemistry will encourage good runs cam, maybe your just not as good as them? :lol:
 
Well I have 100 chemistry, I was hoping that'd fix it :lol:.

I really am starting to think chemistry is a joke. It actually helped in 11, not at all here.

Anyone got Dempsey, Howard, or CDM>>CM cards?

I feel like I'm talking to myself.. :lol:

Set the card to an extremely high price and then let your friend use "Trade Offer."
 
I have Michael Bradley and Jermain Jones as my center mids for my USA team. Does them being CDM's mess up my chemistry in a 4-4-2? Their cards say 4-4-2 but their position is CDM..

It's hard to find a Dempsey for under 3,000, and Robbie Findley and DeMarcus Beasley are outrageously expensive for being silver. So I guess I'm on the lookout for 4-4-2 cards cheap.

It's impossible to find Brek Shea in a 4-4-2, and out of Cherundolo and Bocanegra put together I've only seen one card. Stupid USA soccer... :lol:

I did get Jozy Altidore for 600, but we only have one gold defender, and he's a center back with 40 pace (Onyewu).. I'm reluctant to pull the trigger on that.
 
Yea 4-4-2 has a midfield diamond so the defensive midfielder sits at the base.
Try and get modifiers for your centre backs.
 
If anyone has formation modifiers in 4-1-2-1-2 that would be awesome!!

Can the servers not freaking go down on weekends when normal people play!!! This is getting outrageous.

Is it honestly too much to ask to play my game that I paid $60 for on a weekend without the servers either not working or working at DSL speed? There's a time for maintenance and its a 3 AM on a weeknight, not a Friday afternoon.

Damned if I know what chemistry means anymore. If any of my players ever make runs, they're offside. My CPU players on defense just get of the oppositions way. And the other team (normally about 30 chemistry) makes perfect runs, the computer defenders never leave me a single freaking opening, and every 50-50 ball in the box bounces to the team with crap chemistry. So take it from me, don't worry about chemistry when putting a team together or you're wasting coins...

But I like that nice 100 in the chemistry!

The auctions are winding me up, the amount of ridiculous opening bids is making it a little tedious. 10k, 15k for a 79 gold player I think not.
 
Okay, is there anyway I can play with people relatively close to my skill level? I mean, if the servers are ever up on a weekend again. Because they probably won't be. I would like to not lose 6-nil every game.

From my experience on the game so far, chemistry means jack. I play just as well with 60 chemistry as I do with 20. So I never bother to try and get it as high as I can.
I look for players with the same nationality, but that's just because I want a 1 nationality team really.
 
It's so frustrating.

Are the servers back up yet? I don't want to go turn on the game just to get pissed off again.

CAM - Look for an American CB called Wynne, he's silver in the MLS and has 90 odd pace. you could probally pick him up for 20-30K - BARGAIN!
 
Chance Myers is a sound buy as well, and Kenny mandally is the most over powered player in FIFA history :)

30k isn't what you would call a bargain, especially for a 66 rated silver.
