CAM, I've found that La Liga sides are complete crap in ultimate team. That is why I sold mine off and began making my Super Bundesliga side.

Strength thing? I've come up against some Barca teams of late (excluding Messi) and they aren't horrendous to deal with, German sides are tough, as are EPL.

I just had some cracking games that got me promoted to Div1 in FUT online.

3-0 down 6 minutes to go.
84' Pedro cuts inside from the left and places a lovely shot in to the far corner.
87' Jesus Navas picks up a perfect pass from Gerrard, rounds the keeper and slots it home despite a covering defender.
90' Last kick of the game, Gerrard gets the ball on the edge of the box, far corner and bam, 3 goals in 6 minutes. Gerrard's first for my club (after his goal against TOTW didn't count, those games aren't recording for me any more, so not bothering).

I've won some others thanks to Milito and Remy making a good partnership up front, I win my final game I get the Championship and 2,000 more coins, which would be useful.

Signed Abate for my right-back, Konko just wasn't cutting it. Doing nicely so far, left back up next, Armero is pretty good, but Abidal as back up is lacking. Looking at Evra.

I'll do some research on a EPL squad later because that was infuriating.

Alright, new plan for the EPL squad in 4-5-1 (prices are OMG low):

Cech
Cole
Vermaelen
Luiz
Maicon
Bale
Gerrard
Nasri
Mata
Valencia
Hernandez

I think I actually made a little profit on the Spaniards. I went for Maicon and Hernandez over Aguero so maybe my attack will be less nerfed.

Want to spend money on an expensive team filled with the world's best stars?

Don't bother. Buy an Eredivisie team instead.

I already have a lesser known team that I do well with, I just don't really like having 300,000 coins sitting around when I know I can make investments that will pay dividends, especially while prices are low. And I did well when I had my good EPL team, so I figured I'd just improve on that instead of laying an egg with my Liga squad.

What is the 'lesser known team' in question?

And how can it possibly be bad to have 300k on the side? I'd feel pretty comfortable with 300k on the side personally, especially if I didn't need to spend it.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with having a bit of money, not sure why the people with 10+ million need so much though, I can't wait to spend my near 3 million.:sly:

You all should get yourselves a good silver and bronze team too, they are good to play with to take a break from the gold games when you need to.

Oh and I'm 2 games, 2 wins with my champ silvers on my gtp account but it's only division 5 so I didn't expect anything else.:)

I just enjoy playing with big name players, and normally do enough research to not sell at a loss when I do want a change. Like I made a 10k profit on that crappy La Liga team.

And my other team is an 80 rated Bundesliga team that is:

Wiese
Fuchs
Felipe Santana
Boateng
Gebre Selassie
Elia
Van Der Vaart
Javi Martinez (I believe you suggested him to me, C-ZETA)
Blaszcycwski (sp?)
Diouf
Esswein

Oh yeah! I won, 5-3, and defended 6 corners in a row while only up one goal at the end. That was worth 250,000 coins right there :).

What league should I make a silver team from? I'm looking for mostly pace, I suppose. I've sort of browsed the Allsvenskan and the Tippeligaen.

I had one point with 4 games to go when I bought my team and needed 12 to stay up, won 3 in a row and was up 3-0 in the 90' of the 4th. Know what happens? Good ol' EA disconnects me. And I get relegated for the first time in months. I don't think I've ever personally consistently hated any entity as much as I hate EA.

What if we got a petition with a donation fund to get the FIFA rights to another company? I'm fairly sure a pride of lions without their front paws could do a better job making a game.

Why am I suddenly getting kicked off the server every other game? I have a feeling it's EA up to more mischief seeing as its NEVER during a game when I have no chance.

Lost 6 in succession. Got one shot on goal total in all 6 games. Quitting before broken controller. This is so gosh darn annoying

My UT is getting trashed by everything.. Going for a bronze/silver English side but any suggestions are welcome.

So its not just me? I think I played 20 games today and won 2..

You're not used to this yet? I just put the controller down and do some other things for a little bit and come back to it another day. Things usually get better then.

Taking C-ZETA's advice and going with a cheap Eredivisie team, just need some coins now to fill the rest of the spots.

Oh...you might want to at least know something about which players to go for though.

Firstly, there isn't really a good RB in the league (unless you can fork out the cash for a very rare Ajax van der Wiel and that defeats the point because it's expensive) and only two good LBs - one of which is bronze. So I would recommend a 3-back formation, and have one CM geared for defense. Unfortunately it isn't one of those leagues like the Serie A where you can have two defensive side midfielders and basically act like you're playing 5 at the back.

The best formation for a team in the league is 3-4-3 - because there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of good wingers in the league. If you play a little more central, like me, and wanna pay a little more for position changes, you can play 3-4-2-1 and use the front three with killer effect. 3-4-1-2 and 3-5-2 is just wasting the wingers you could use, plus there aren't really enough good CDMs in the league to make 3-5-2 work.

(On the subject of position changes, you will need quite a few - you will certainly need an RW>RM, LW>LM and without the use of one certain player, definitely an expensive CAM>CM - though you can skimp on chemistry a little with the right setup)

There are plenty of CBs in the league with at least 70 pace, which is what you really need at least to succeed. Most of them are even from alternate nations so you can use them in hybrids for future squads. The most notable of these is Vitesse's Tomas Kalas - non-rare, but has 80 pace. Of course, you might want to take a gold CB with less pace but more defense, seeing as the league is so weak defensively. Douglas does a good job in this regard.

The 4 wingers will be the main part of your team possibly, so choose them carefully. All 4 of them should really be at least 4* skills, and while not necessarily required, you may wish to only get those with at least 80 pace. There are plenty of players for both sides on this regard.

On the right, Narsingh is superb - I use him as an LF in two of my squads and he never, ever disappoints. He really is pretty immense when linked up with a striker and an opposite forward. But his 94 pace means he obviously is very good as an RW. His PSV mate Lens is similarly good, but works better as an RF because his aim for goal is also very good. Tadic is a good RM because he has superb passing coupled to a strong dribbling ability.

There are a two very quality silver options as well - namely Jody Lukoki and Virgil Misidjan. Both properly quality wingmen.

As for the left side, Mertens and his IF are obviously very good on all accounts, but it's the silvers you want to aim for here. That said, there's only two I really like too much - Giorgi Chanturia and Memphis Depay.

Chanturia might not be all that fast, but my god does he have good dribbling. 83 on UT, 86 on full chem (and both in game and in FIFA 12 last year too), plus 5* weak foot and 4* skills. I just wish he was still 5* as he was last year...he wasn't in UT but he was the best player in the game last year. Depay is really, really good - if you've seen Owusu-Abeyie (the best player stats-wise in this game for me), you'll know what Depay is all about, because Depay's stats are very similar. Similarly high pace, surprisingly good strength, good dribbling and a cracking shot as well. He is truly brilliant, certainly for his price.

Of course, with your CMs you will need one geared for attack and one for defense because you are running three at the back. There are only two really good defensive midfielders in the league - Leroy Fer and Eyong Enoh. Fer is particularly superb - he has only 3 red stats in stats that don't really matter. His lowest base stat is 73, and he is a great all-rounder. Enoh on the other hand has very well-rounded physical stats and some extreme tackling stats.

For your attacking midfielder, there are probably 6 good options - which I'm gonna list here.

To be honest, I've never quite seen the appeal of Eriksen. He is the highest overall player in the league but he doesn't turn me on at all. Wijnaldum and Djuricic do the job a lot better for me - Wijnaldum is a classic speedy, dribbling, agile kind of guy, whilst Djuricic is just pretty good all around. Duarte has the great advantage of not requiring a position change and he is a damned good player - especially when you see his physical stats - but I don't actually use him...don't ask why, I don't know why - I just sort of don't. Kakuta is a good player because of his dribbling stats, but Vilhena will surprise you a lot. His stats don't look all that epic but he is actually an awfully good player in career mode - none less so in career mode, seeing as he was born in 1995...and you know what that does to his potential.

The final position of ST is a little weaker than you might be led to believe but it is not bad on any accounts. While there is an ST in the league with 4* skills - Anass Achahbar, who is a good player on all accounts - I wouldn't blame you for taking someone else. Certainly, the Americans in here might want to try Jozy Altidore, but Luc Castaignos is also a very good shout, with 85 pace and both great physical and shooting stats.

This is the Eredivisie team I like to use consistently. It often gets the job done, and very well. Certainly, this and my Serie A team can cause some real damage to teams at times. That's why I prefer to buy cheaper teams as opposed to blowing a full budget on a big team that has big names - because cheap ones are just as effective if you get them right.

^ Apologies for this wall of text -_-

@C-ZETA: Yeah, I noticed there weren't too many good defensive players, so I just got a RB with 81 pace or something near there. I currently have a 4-4-2 formation, but also want to try your suggestion of 3 at the back. Should I re-buy the players, or is a 3-4-3 modifier cheap enough? My team is currently silvers and bronzes that cost 200-300 on buy it now if that helps.

Purchased IF Diego right now. Have built up 70K through trading. List of players I still want to acquire;

- 2IF Kroos
- IF Lewandowski
- IF Dante
- 2IF Weidenfeller
- IF Naldo

Who should I get? I'm thinking of getting 2IF Kroos because I don't really have any complaints about Lewandowski or my defense. All these players are bench players as well, so it doesn't make a huge difference who I get first. Just curious as to which might rise in prices earlier. I know that I should grab the older ones first, I think.

You can sell you 442 players for at least 1k more than any rubbish formation players and 343 is 150 coins so it makes sense to sell any players you have in 442 and buy them back for cheaper.:)

This is the case with golds anyway, you'll have to check with bronzes and silvers, if they go for no more just buy 343 cards.

Anything that isn't a 4-back modifier usually is pretty cheap. Sans 3-5-2 I suppose.

That said, you should expand your price range a little. There are better players for not much more than the price you're going for. That said there are a good few of the players I recommended in that price range.

Still have not lost on my gtp account, 6 games, 6 wins, so I'm now in div 4 but I've only faced rubbish less than 50 chem teams so it's no shock, to celebrate my latest win, I opened a pack and got IF Gerrard.:)

I still have not had any IFs on my main account and I've opened tons of packs, this account seems a lot better for some reason.

Anyway dhandeh can have his 50k when he sells.:) My main account is getting 50k too.:)

Who said EPL sides were hard to deal with? I think EA is sucking up to the Christmas noobs is the only explanation for this crap. I have gotten destroyed in every game I've played for the past three days and I'm pretty :censored:ing sick and tired of it.

Sometimes your team can play bad for no reason, everyone will get this at some point or other. Try not to get angry and grind out results, it's the only thing you can do until you feel the players clicking again.

I was really close to blasting the ear out of some EA phone person but decided against it. Losing every game 5-1 or worse for a period of over 3 days with a team of all stars (only rated 83) playing against complete garbage is making me livid.

Got relegated because EA cut me out of the server and then lost my first game in D2 because they cut me out again. There's a special place in hell for these people.

Could they have not cut me out when I was down 8-0 and having to deal with some little 🤬 trying to bring his keeper down the field? It has never once happened when I was behind...aghast

Sold off my squad so I can make some coins before creating a new squad...

EDIT: CRAP... If I had 17 more coins I could've bought an IF Jose Enrique for 150 coins...

Major scream, if that happened to me!

I was up 4-2 and EA apparently surges the internet in my whole house.

I can play Call of Duty for hours, watch YouTube, but as soon as I'm winning a FUT match all hell breaks loose and the internet for the house shuts on and off. Screw you EA.

So I have a question for all you FUT'ers: if all that (apparently) ever happens when you play FUT is that you rage and break things, why do you still play it?

I don't rage too often but, I guess it's because seasons is equally as bad. So if you are itching to play online, then FUT is your only option because it is more interesting than seasons mode.
