So if I buy a 15% dribbling coach, for example, as long as he's in my club my players will get that bonus every game for a one time investment? There has to be a catch..

Coaches only give a bonus when you apply a training card, so if you don't use them coaches are pointless, unless you collect them like me.:)

The same with Fitness coaches and fitness cards and Physios and healing cards.
 
I use fitness cards but I apply them before a bonus would make a difference. EA limited my contract bonus at 50% per card :(. I'm sure I could have gotten to 100. Anyway, I'll now get 19 games per 13 game card, I think I spent about 3,000 on all the managers. :lol: Let's see how long that takes to pay itself back.

Now I figured out that buying shiny gold contracts at 400 coins is cheaper (9 coins/game) than normal ones at 250 (13 coins/game). Now to just convince myself to buy more expensive consumables..

Yes you can't get more than 50% on anything and you don't really need a bonus on anything other than contracts.

I think you should get hart or cech. De gea is a horrible keeper in real life, and on the game. Makes the same mistakes that valdes does on the game.

I'm saving for an EPL keeper, but Cech and Hart seem too hard to save for. Have you tried Reina in game? Using Vorm at the moment, but he keeps getting beaten by 30 yard screamers.

Selling off the good ole' Russian League team, which probably contains over 50% of the goals I've scored in this game. Hopefully I'll have enough to bolster my EPL team with I don't know who yet. If anyone wants anything or some trades tell me before I put them up for auction too many times.

It's worth it, not so much now anyways, but I remember the main reason I stopped playing FUT 12 was that the contracts were running at 450 a pop, non-shiny gold ones!

And it'd be awesome to know if Pepe Reina is any good as well.

Anyone? Since EA is screwing me over I need money and something to distract from being mad.

I'm not sure how good he is. I didn't use him long when I had him.

Scored in the 1'. I'm still gonna lose, but a new record for me.

I think I'm gonna get another Howard. Only reason I bought Given is because I hate having duplicates in my trade pile.

Cesar is pretty bad. I have him on my Brazilian Russian league hybrid. Howard does a good job on my prem side.

Haha, I came back to say he's doing a pretty good job for me. Played 4 games with him and I'm impressed (considering he's the best EPL keeper under 10K, picked him up at 3.5K (a steal :lol:)).

One thing I've noticed, morale seems to play an even bigger factor this year. If your player's morale is neutral or lower, don't expect big things from him. I boost all my new signings up to very high morale. Does the job better.

Kagawa is a hoss. I beat Neuer with him from about 40 yards. I also like Valencia a lot more than Ben Arfa and Hoilett is working better than Gervinho. Mirallas, Bent, and Ba weren't working for me so I dropped some coins on Hernandez, can't pass judgement. This Howard is making more mistakes than my other one.

They looked great with high morale until a ball that rolled 4 yards over the goal line and was cleared wasn't called a goal and then lost 4-1.

If you like Kagawa, you will love Honda. He is so much better for me. That is why I changed Honda to a ST. And why my backup CAM has more goals that Kagawa.
 
I agree. Someone bid 17,000 on my Eto'o, so goodbye to my most productive player so far. Not sure what I'll spend it on. My kinda reachable goals are Tevez, Nani, Mata, Nasri, and Van Persie. Ash's giveaways will help nicely if they're available :sly:.
 
I'm pretty set on my goalies now. I had a couple of problems with sorting my Serie A team goalie out, had Handanovic to start but he had more good days than bad, so I've stuck with Mirante, who isn't the most reliable option always but definitely gets the job done a lot of the time.

My Eredivisie team has Tyton in goal, his stats are stupendous and he's 6'5". I have Mihaylov in reserve and his stats are all great, sans positioning, which is <70, worryingly, when every other stat is at least 80.

My hybrid uses Sirigu, and while I didn't need to use him much in my first games, I did recently, and he was superb.

Yes, they're both good goalies, but they're bloody expensive. And De Gea is certainly not horrible in real life. He was very shaky at first, but he's become damn good now.

Good shot stopper but still poor from set pieces, in my opinion he always will be as he doesn't have the build or presence in his own 6yrd box. If you ask me he's a target for bullies :lol:

They will be soon.:) Van Persie is very good if you can get him in space as his shot is awesome but I probably like Nasri more, the only player for me who performs every game. So I suggest getting Nasri first, although it might depend on what formation you are using and the rest of your team.:)

If I'm kicking with my strong foot one yard outside of the six yard box with goalie at a standstill, he doesn't save it. I got relegated because of that 🤬. 🤬 EA and its scripting.

Should I go with Gerrard or Ashley Young next? It'll either be replacing Sessègnon or Hoilett. Sessègnon has really disappointed me, I figured the 85 pace and 85 dribbling would outrun people. I hope Gerrard is stronger?

I hate EA.

4-5-1. I'm gonna start converting back to 4-4-2 soon though, but only on players that cost 5k or up. Hopefully ASH's giveaway will help me get the piece that really finishes the puzzle.

Ok, so you don't use the dumb 3 or 5 defender formations 👍.

This probably goes without saying, but I'm still gonna mention it. Make sure everyone's formation and position indicators are green. It's elementary stuff but you never know :P. Also, if you're players fitness ain't 99 before the game starts, don't play him. At least these are the principles I stick by.

Nasri is a decent buy, but if you're switching to 4-4-2 he won't work. You essentially have just a two man midfield. I'd suggest Gerrard and Toure. Great stamina and work rate, good defensively, and offer a great threat on goal. Quick wingers goes without saying.

I've played 33 games in FUT this year, and I'm 6 points shy of winning Div 1 :D. I don't buy packs (cuz I hate EA) or trade (ain't nobody got time for that :lol:). My team's built on a budget. This is my best 11, it's a 4-3-3 and cost me 28500 in total :crazy:.

I can understand 5 at the back being dumb but 3? You have 2 in the box, and use the other can go on the side of the pitch if someone is pacing down the wing. Gives you more players up forward if you are possession based player as well. I really love playing my brassia hybrid team in 3-5-2
 
I can't decide whether to go back to 4-4-2 or stay 4-5-1. It seems if I really wanted to I could convert strikers to CAM's and play that way sometimes.

I can never play in 444 for some reason. If I'm playing 4 at the back, I usually need to play with a 4222 or 4231 to be able to get a good attack going with a stable enough defense.
 
I mostly play counterattacks on 4-4-2. Pass it up to one striker, flick it to the other, through ball back to the first on the run. 4-5-1 has made me be more creative but its more difficult.
