FINAL GT6 2016 STORAGETRUNKS GT500 BASE SERIES-Monday Nights 18:30UKFinished

Freaking GT6 servers, might be the best solution to just move to PCARS before GT SPORT... no GT500 there but a lot of LMP1s and LMP2s

Sorry for x2 post but...
Run rooms with FIXED HOST to ON.

From the Bugs and Glitches thread:

P2P (player to player) connection: Players cannot see each other on track. Sometimes, but not always this can be seen in the lobby menu as players appear to be loading for you when you cannot see them. Leads to more issues for others who see both players as the players not seeing each other can be at the same location. One of the oldest issues still plagueing lobbies, only occurs when the host is not set to fixed and connections are between players directly. Influenced by players' connection speed, quality, and often by distance (happens a lot in international lobbies with players from various countries). If the players rejoin this can be fixed at times, but the issue will most likely stay.

That. Was. EXHAUSTING!
Damn it, I was like "track feels slow, my new gearbox is trash", felt the understeer everywhere, I'm stoked I managed to do 18.3 with tyres worn down to 9/8, and stock downforce, that shouldnt really be possible. But those who know me will know that these things can haunt me for months to come, a wasted opportunity for a race win. :(

Shameful driving from me yesterday. Firstly sorry rich for hitting you off, I didn't expect you to brake that early and I was still full throttle so I promise it wasn't intentional lol and waited for you to return back on track. After that it wasn't too bad, but I was by then almost a minute off the lead so that was that really. Then to top it off, a moth starts flying into my ear, I wafted it away but touched the white line on t7 exit, had a half spin and lost 5th haha. Well done Paul on victory and unlucky Erazer with the setup mistake and last lap fuel issue

lol , fine danny 🤬 was nice of you to wait ,but you should have kept going !!!! you was fast and could have made more places ..... if i had not gone off, then a let back through is apreciated.... good race and this is just the start

My Race- Well done Paul.
Yes, i have to say Paul, a fantastic race, very well done.

I was so so pleased that everyone stayed in and no DCs, even with guys fitting their wings on upside down by the look of the photos.

Looking at the full race details and timing sheets on page 1, all of us were very close on lap times, just the really quick guys seem to mess up less. which is really costly at Brands.

The first 20 laps i dropped a few places down to 6th in the first few laps, but was up to 3rd place and running at the leaders pace after 20 minutes, as one by one guys in front made mistakes and dropped behind.
By 25 minutes i was not far from the lead, although i have to say seeing Aug go of a few times was a huge surprised and made me worry, not something many people ever see, but of course he had enough pace to climb back to to front end of the race.

Then it was my turn to make a small mistake that ended up as a huge time loss, but as many others had also done that, i did not fall back into no mans land, and found other poor souls who had also made mistakes to chase, or try to keep behind.

In the end i did enjoy it all, once i got a proper rhythm going after my 1st stop, and from there was great.

As we neared the end i closed and and passed Gueven, and had Daniel1990 closing on me, so was still exciting even though we were low down the order.
I just passed Gueven on the last lap, then the fuel ran out as i accelerated out of the final turn, but just had enough momentum to finish 1 second ahead of Gueven.

I guess like many, mistakes were my downfall, so easy and expensive at Brands.

I just want to say to everyone, thanks for being so patient before the start.
With people leaving and rejoining, all in all we sat there about 40 minutes to try to get everything sorted.

However it was hugely satisfying that nobody got Dc'd, and i know that all the resets etc etc etc that i insist we all do before the new room opens etc, may not actually help at all, however i do it for the poor guys that often do have problems, as i never get dc'd at all.

Yes good race and mistakes are costly here as even just part of one wheel on the grass mid corner/braking zone, you're rotating and sucked into the quicksand and one wheel drive activated to help you NOT get back out!!

I was race leader very early on after Aug went off and (I was surprised) and then Monkey made a mistake, I think I was 1st for 2 laps, but I started making little mistakes with the pressure of the ultra consistent G1 guys of Paul, Aug and Erazer right up my chuff. Of course, I eventually went off and rejoined right at the back! The push was on, and I had some good battles throughout including with Daniel1990 and Gueven.

Anyhow in summary I had 3 big spins and several little mistakes, pleased with 6th. Although...I had closed up with good pace on John near the end but as I keep finding I just couldn't pass quite in time for the chequered flag :)

@DannyB013 for me you were parked on the racing line on start finish straight for whole race, lol
