Worst part of Rome is running 31'1s using 0 abs running down the SRF users. Then getting tapped on a 1'07.xxx for a 10 second penalty. Watching the replay is even more infuriating, because holding tight on the inside line at turn 2 to 3 or just turn 2 to most. Having the car hit you on the outer edge or your rear end.... Regardless, put them into a user created room they would fail and rage quit because they know their skills are not up to par makes it feel better.

This would actually be great.
User created rooms with the same rules as the current QM's.

I like the QM format, as I don;t have to stuff about with car setup, etc a lot of the time, and it's actually good to test your skills in a car that's not quite "right", to be able to learn the car and how to drive it fast against others with an identical car

3 times, I was in the same race as you and twice I passed you either spinning or facing the wrong way through no fault of your own:)
The other race you were 2nd by less than half a second to the 'fast guy' from Japan!!!!

Alright, gotta calm myself. I messaged the one particular tard and told him to get with it. He insists it's not him but a glitch. That happens but why are you parking your car right in the middle of a corner!?

You get to know which guys want to race clean and those that prefer not to!!!
Sometimes they take each other out and leave you to drive through their ghosts, sometimes it works against the clean racer.
There are truly fast guys running 3.28/3.29 but then there are those that leave their rubber and smoke down the long straights.

EeePee! :D. I raced him last week. He was running solidly mid pack then.

I've seen a couple fast Japanese guys, but I think I've only encountered one driver who might have been using SFR. He posted a final time of 3:26:xxx. That made me feel very small.

What bothers me about these events is, I buy the car, run a ton of laps in test drive and get:06:xxx with some work. But when I get to this event, no matter what I do, I run in the 1:08s. I'll be lucky to get high 1:07s. I'd really like to see what PD did to gimp the cars to make them even.

I tried the Midfield event. I immediately picked the Yellowhat GT-R because somebody further up in the thread said the car plowed like a dump truck. So I bought it :lol:, slapped Sports Mediums on it and went to practicing. Yup, lots of understeer.

But when i ran the event, I encounter bumps at the hairpin that I could have sworn weren't present during my test drive. And at the limit, the rear end started breaking free--the car didn't feel like warning me though :indiff:.

If in real life my engineer had set my car up this way, provided I survived my stint, I'd go back to the pits and slap him.

Still had fun anyway.
 
EeePee is coryclifford and if he was running mid pack last week, he was probably playing possum and lulling you into a false sense of security ready for this week.:D

As for the courtesy cars, I kind of like them as it takes the mega personalised tunes out of the equation and you have to make the most of what you're given instead. My quickest time is in the Motul GTR but I prefer the Honda's for the neutral handling and more suitable (for me) gearing.
 
Yep, I tend to play with people. I like to see if they'll crack under pressure. Sorry (not sorry). :D

That 3:28 is the fastest I've done and fastest I've seen anyone do that I'm not suspicious of them using SRF. There's a point that you just cannot go any faster no matter how perfect the laps are. I believe that is that point.

I gonna try this roma stuff tomorrow, I hope I'm in the same room of you of any guy wo are around here on the forum. I think it whas a ****** excuses from the guy who parked it in the corner.
 
It's a shame too, Roma is fun with decent drivers. The track is tuff though, so even then you get banged around a little, but not blasted and hacked repeatedly.

The touring cars could use a little more steering too.


After getting smoked by SRF racers last night, I went and switched it back in arcade mode then re entered, expecting to exact revenge...but it stayed off. (At Midfield)

Server a bit temperamental today but eventually got a good few races against a variety of drivers at Rome. A bit weird as most races won in about 3.32/3.33 so @coryclifford would have smoked it.
I knew it was time to leave when in the field of 8 drivers I randomly got position 11 on the grid:confused:

It doesn't turn on every time but you'll see it roughly 8 out of 10 times.
 
I'd like to thank CoryClifford/EeePee, my first night racing the Rome event we were in a room together. I prefer the BMW, although it can't run the quickest laps-EeePee ran interference for me and kept the meatheads at bay for a couple races. Thanks!
 
Had some fun in there last night and even won a couple races. Met a couple good guys and about 6 really good clean races, tuff to do in Rome.

I got a 3:30 in the one run I didn't bounce off anything. 3:31 seemed fairly easy. The Audi has been the best for me so far as far as steering and traction combined.

Maybe I'll try they skaty Beamer tonight.
 
I tried Rome for the first time last night. I didn't see EeePee in any race so I wasn't one of the meatheads. My best time was 3:40 and after that I got hit with penalties (a flashing car that materializes right as I attempt to go through). Then I had network issues (drops).
 
My handle is the same everywhere. Since I airbrush RC car bodies under Winning Edge Designs, wedjim. :)

The BMW was pretty good, ran a 3:30 with it as well. A little less rear traction, a little more steering. Good overall, better than the last QM's where I couldn't get comfy with it.

After a couple of battles with one guy, who beat me by .02 and then .05 seconds, by blocking and pushing me into the wall on the straight, he messages me. "JIJIJIIiJIJi."
I guess that means giggling?

I beat him by three seconds next run, which was my 3:30 and messaged him back.

I can't work out what they are trying to get out of driving like it's a demolition derby at times.
Not met you in any rooms so far but will keep an eye out in future.
I can see which guys are not out to race clean pretty quick but I'm not techno enough to suss out if a driver is "cheating" or a glitch at that moment

I once raced against @wedjim at Red Bull Ring. He's very clean and very fast (he was winning all the races but let me sneak by on one).

Usual variety of races/racers today at Rome.
Final race 3 drivers, Brazil, Argentina and Me.
Mr Argentina wanted to ram me into the wall whenever he could leaving Mr Brazil, who was probably the fastest anyway, to race ahead.
I took my time and moment and got 2nd waving to Mr Argentina

Yes, I was in a race with a couple germans.....When i come closer the 🤬 Brake very hard before a turn. So the race after i brake faster then them and they found me after the turn before them :cheers::gtpflag:

Edit: Any guy who send me a hahaha hihihihhi jijijijij gogggigigigig message on the psn after hit me off the track go on the black list here. That are not racers that are *****.

My best (worst, dumbest) set of races at Rome was with someone by the name of Siegmundo40. At first I thought we were braking into the turns differently. Then at over 130mph on the main straight with me hot on his tail, he brakes, not a turn in sight. I picked up a 5 second penalty for slamming into him.

This kept happening throughout the race. It got so bad that I would swerve in and out of his draft whenever I got near him. He would try to line back up with me. Try to get around him clean? Nope. I get put into the wall. Dodge? Nope, weaving all over the track. :crazy:

I thought the game was trolling me when it kept putting next to him on the grid. When I finally started finishing ahead of him, I checked my messages after the racing to find that he had been busy. About 6 messages, calling me a dirty driver:boggled:. The last one involved a racial slur and telling me to go back to Washington:confused:.

I had a few races at Midfield last night with 5 other drivers. All Germans... They were teaming up to keep me from overtaking and often driving slowly and 3 wide into the corners to give me no room to do anything. A flawed plan though as they kept giving each other penalties and gifted me win after win. England beat Germany on penalties!:lol:

No serious, Its not only germans but in that race it was... I have a lot of friends from America to south africa..and i have german friends who drive clean and fair. I think you need luck in what room you are, If a drvier is faster then me i let him past me. Simple that's racing. I dont wont to %^&* someones race. They must learn that.
