Hi Kilesa4568 , yes that's me you've raced against, im always in QM,s when i get the time .
Edit To the 3m 35.1s i saw earlier, Just got caned by a German in a ZZ with a girly sounding name who must like Omen films. Anyway he/she just ran 3m,34.5s !!!! . I can only only manage 3m,43s times so didnt bother trying to oertake him , in the end he got bored of winning & he kept shooting off then slowing down brake checking me .Some people online are unreal...... smh

They either use the exploit to reinforce their delusions of grandeur or they're unbelievably lazy for choosing the easy option. Or both...? Probably both.

In other news, the Lambo Gallardo loaded up to 600pp will run 1m11when driven properly (1m12.2 by amateur's i.e. me) and will toast almost every thing off the start line.

I've been trying to get used to mine but I'm struggling with the tune. It was fine at 550pp but turned manic at 600pp... Mental off the line but then the corners pop up and spoil it all.

Vanessa - fast girl, but very dirty, ramming and brake-checking me yesterday......I leave her to it, and she's prone to sending histrionic messages! I've seen her in other QMs previously, and she always behaves the same.

If you do beat her, she calls you a loser!

Was just racing with a HansDampf at Deep Forest... he's got a killer FXX on the go! I thought I had a good tune for my Nardo, but not fast like that car. I wish there were more quality racers there... sadly the bad racers outnumber the good ones by 20 to 1.

I make mistakes, but some moves I've seen are unmistakably deliberate. Makes you appreciate the good ones even more.

Cheers

Been having a good few races in these quick events so far, the 600PP one has had some surprisingly diverse lineups, been working on a 600PP Ferrari SP1 thats been doing me wonders (might even post the tune soon, because why not?), but the K-Car event in the GT arena has been my highlight so far, love those little cars :D

A few cars I've enjoyed driving in the 1:13 at 600pp Deep Forest event.
  • Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur (R34) '02 (amazing smooth engine, very stable even with ~700bhp at ~1300kg, needs fairly strong settings to turn in with DS3)
  • R390 GT1 Road Car (Solid Yas Marina Blue with a bright red rear wing, Calsonic style, 575bhp 1092kg)
  • Nissan GT-R SpecV '09 (actually using a rain setup from Art of Racing Grand Championship, with a bit stronger brakes)
  • Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo (boost everywhere the outside rear lets you!)
  • Aston Martin V12 Vantage '10 (slow in my hands with a random guess tune but with all the aero parts, is a sorely missing GT3 class Aston!)
  • EDIT: Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C '09 (chassis reinforcement and an @Ed_Night tune for Streets of Willow long ago, with max power, reduced ballast until 600pp and moved ballast all the way back to +50% then a very tiny tweak to the toe angle)
  • EDIT: TVR Cerbera Speed 12 '00 with a tune @Draggon recommended to me recently (slightly adjusted for DS3 and S3 tyres) had a single mid 1:13 lap with this, after a lot of re-tuning, usually 1:14s.
If you want to keep with faster drivers in fast cars or want to shame some dirty drivers...
  • Honda NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car (OK, it's OP)
  • TommyKaira ZZII (lots of people are slow mid corner but it blasts out due to 620bhp+ for just 920kg )
  • EDIT: KTM X-BOW R 15th Anniv '12 (totally boss! @kilesa4568 was using digtater PSN account to run the normal X-BOW R to great effect, inspired me to find this had a 600pp Praiano tune which was totally boss! Repeatedly beat a trolling NSX-R battering ram by selling it a dummy and driving around while it swerved to block a lane I was no longer aiming for. Looking at my PSN Friends Met it may have been @Brunoblak using BrunoLblak account.)
Takes a while to write out tunes for so many cars. Generally, seasonal event TRL style tuning works. Soggy suspension, high noses, loose LSD, old school transmission trick for close gearing, 85-95% power limiter, only ballast as a last resort. If the car has downforce, you generally want as much on the front as possible and reduce the rear until you find the final 2 corners easiest. (Although I run 5 points below max at the front with max rear on NSX-R....it's a special car.)

Cars I want to try:
  • McLaren F1 '94 (it was great on SH at Suzuka Seasonal Race recently)
  • Lamborgini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce '09 (@Ed_Night tune I think, with tweaks for S3 tyres, used in a Datsun Academy side event Road to Rio)
  • Ford GT40 Mark I '66 (not sure I can handle it at 600pp but kudos to the drivers getting solid, clean results with it)
  • McLaren MP4-12C '10 (rocket ship at 550pp)
  • KTM X-BOW Street '12 (used this at 580pp in Apricot Hill TT long ago on S1 tyres?)
Deep forest is a track I've always loved. Ramming, laggy noobs just give me more time to admire it. There's no penalty for me, here. 👍

EDIT: Had some great races with @kilesa4568 in X-BOW and @wedjim in Huayra while I used insane Impreza!

  • McLaren MP4-12C '10 (rocket ship at 550pp)
  • KTM X-BOW Street '12 or R 15th Anniv '12 (used these at 580pp in Apricot Hill TT long ago on S1 tyres?)

For the most part this one has been a lot of fun for me as well, aside from some drivers antics...
I have been trying to get a good set up going for my R390 GT1 but so far it just hasn't been able to keep up with the faster cars, could be my tune or my driving not sure...lol

I Had a couple nice races at the Midfield today. But my Network was 🤬🤬. So frustrating.
Still a couple wins. What lap times do you guys make here?

I've only used the Z4 there but I was getting around 10.5s. I haven't done many races there though as it's pretty empty most of the time.

1:09.0xx - 1:09.5xx normally, with both Nissans and the Merc (no srf)

Had a go in 550pp-ish F40, wanted to see how it behaved, it was suprising, two 1m17.2 laps and scraped just under 4 minutes.
Gonna have a few more goes with it as it is before I chicken out of adding any power parts :nervous:
Deep forest
Yeah, I'm stuck in the 1:14 to 1:15 range...barley can break the 4 minute mark...

The MP4 is a dream to drive at Deep Forest and very easy to throw around. I'm not sure where I got the tune from but I'll put it up later when I can get to the console. I've got a few others I can list as well and if you're not keen on chucking a FR or MR around, the GTR Concept and @Ed_Night 's 670 Veloce from a recent TT work well. Speed isn't as important as handling at Deep Forest so there's a shed load of competitive cars you can choose from.

Annoying being completely surround by ZZII's all day (dull car to look at) but the tune they're using seems to be struggling with the bumps and gradients. I imagine that'll soon change...

NSXR Prototype is a great car (with full down force) to get your line down but weirdly, it doesn't seem to be that competitive.

The Mazda Roadster works well with the tune from the last Cape Ring quick match and you can even add more ballast. I was running low 1.01s with 150KG of ballast with that tune and mid 01's with 110KG. A shame I can't stand the track though. Six corners? No thanks.

Where can I find that Mazda Roadster tune @kilesa4568 ?
cheers

The bugger took some finding:crazy:

No oil change or improved rigidity. The tune doesn't work with chassis strengthening.

Supercharger with 94.8 limiter and 110kg@40. 3.81kg/bhp. 237bhp and 905kg.

Maximum downforce. I added an aftermarket spoiler to increase it to 520 on the rear. 200 on the front.

^ All as Praiano tuned it.

Gearbox is a work in progress and I'll likely never be happy with it. I'm not a tuner...

I'm not sure if I went with 5000 or 5500 initial final gear but I think it was 5000. 5500 if the ratios don't match...

The gearbox was never set up right but it worked ok at the Cape Ring QM for me. You'll probably need to tinker with the ratios for Tsukuba though.

Thanks man! Let me give it a go....
