What times have you achieved on Cape Ring North then?

Like a very high 1:33, low 34 with a base tune (stock suspension).

Shaved a bit more time from the yellowbird to 1:28.807 (20.0 - 23.7 - 26.5) - At this point though it's just a matter if I can hold onto the car, I had snap oversteer in quite a few laps. Just balancing the car and applying as much throttle as possible is hard when one wrong move results in a pendulum. Might be due to using max sensitivity on the DS3.

Ok I am done with the Yellow Bird tune, I am going to call it my stab in the dark tune because the DS3 and wheel testers may find this tune good and bad, but I like it because I can get in the low 1:31s and if I can spend more time on it I could get in the 1:30s using my G29. I have got other thing to do and I can not spend a lot of time doing this FITT Competition this is why I am going to post my tune early.

Good luck Hami. Show em who's the boss.
Finished 9th out of 72. Tallest, heaviest guy in the finals, weighing in at 200 lbs. Everyone else was 5 foot 8 and 150 to 175 pounds. Drove as hard as I could and will have the bruzes tomorrow to prove it.

Also got to ride in a driverless Tesla tonight. What a great night.

9th out of 72 when you're carrying a weight penalty on a go-kart is a brilliant result.
I used to swap the lap record with a guy 25 years ago that was considerably lighter (at least 10-15kg) on 5 BHP, 4-stroke heavy hire karts. Jump on a calculator, punch in the numbers and look at the power to weight ratios we were competing with.
That was as close as I could get to racing back then. He, on the other hand, made a bit more progress.

You can take my seat in the Tesla anyday.

Preliminary Hot Lap times for the first 2 groups, running my default setup with tweeks to the transmission and LSD. (maybe a little ballast as well;)) Only did this to get track and car knowledge before official testing.

Sports Class
3400S - 1:33.2xx

Old School Class
Car 1 - 1:31.9xx
Car 2 - 1:32.0xx

Lots of room for improvement for both car and driver. But I'll be very interested in what you tunas do to tame these beasts on these tracks.

Those are some great times. Your not tempted to throw your own setup into the mix?

First tune out the blocks! You are a brave man indeed. It all looks good to me. Nothing missing and fits the rules of the event. This tune is good to go. :)

Damn.... The RGT is a tough cookie haha.. Think i underestimated it a bit
It is a tough cookie but once you find a sweet spot in this car, it goes like a scalded cat. In all honesty, the only fairly easy car to get right quickly out of all of these cars is the 3400S because of the drive train it has. The RR cars and the 4WD cars need a lot of finessing due to the fact they were not given much love by PD in the handling department. This event is designed to test us and I think all of the classes do just that. :)

Those are some great times. Your not tempted to throw your own setup into the mix?
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted, but just not confident in what these cars need. Each car/track combo come with their own unique challenges, you guys did a good job putting this challenge together. I can't even remember if I've raced Trial Mountain Reverse in GT6 before this. So I'm just going to have to be happy using this challenge to learn a thing or 3...:dunce:

Thank you, Trying to find a track that compliments each RUF car was tricky but they do work very well with each of the cars challenges. If you decide to throw your hat in the ring, you are more than welcome to join in. It has been a while since I have seen a tune of yours in FITT after all.

@shaunm80 , @Otaliema , and fellow tuners, I will be sitting this compition and the next few out while I learn to drive and tune with a wheel. My faithful DS3 has been retired to the boneyard. :guilty:
Join as tester on Old School class and you'll have excellent wheel practise sessions.
That would give also excellent results for tune quality too.

Well, I've passed my ITR for good, so I'll officially enter as a tuner for Old School, @shaunm80

Doesn't exactly embarrass itself at other tracks either, and is geared to work just about anywhere. Maybe LeMans no chicane will see it running out of gear.
I will get you added to the list. Great to have you onboard.

Some interesting tune choices in there @hall90, Wonder how things will turn out.
Interesting is sometimes good. Have to wait and see what happens when the testers get their hands on it. :)

I hesite to sign in as testers, and as tuners for the Yellow Bird too, cause I did a quick tune and lap at Trial Mountain Reverse, this results in a 1:29:590 best lap.

May you put me as tester for the BTR, CTR and RGT ?

Just so I get this right, Old School Class and Supersport Class?

Edit: I can't put you in for tuning Old School class right now as you are already tuning two classes. You can switch one of your classes though if you want to?

Switch off me of the Supersport Class and add me to the Old School Class as tester if you can, thanks again :)

Edit : What is the best laptime at Trial Mountain Reverse ?

I will tune super sport class and test old school class please.

Otaliema will get these changes made for his side of the house. :)

Lap times.. Some aliens are getting 1.29s. Myself is a 1.33 but should be faster when the testers get their hands on it. :)

Just found now that I'm an alien

Edit : After 5 more laps, finally did 1:28:890. :D

A challenger appears!

@shaunm80
No doubt, I was curious about turbo power but haven't tested it yet.

Edit: I was running too much front toe it seems, adjusted that and well lower we go to 1:28.498 - I almost lost it at the end. I tested turbo's with my setup and it didn't seem to suit me well so I'm gonna use Engine 2.
