What broadband speed you got?
Are you wired or wireless?
What have you got your rolling cache set at?
Do you use all the live features, weather/air traffic etc?
Have you started the game fresh or quick resume?
Are you running VRR if available on your TV?

My setup is
350mb virgin media
Wired
Rolling cache I've had disabled & 40gb (no difference)
All live features enabled
Always start fresh
No VRR on my TV so stuck at 4K 30/60hz

I get a little stutter & LOD pop in on maiden trip (built up areas a little worse) but nothing unplayable & when I revisit it's all good.

Nobody knows why the series s is fine, just the x has the issue, its been a long time now and i dont even play anymore its that bad.
 
The S only runs at 1080p the X is at 4k, have you both tried running it in 1080 on the X?

Or uninstall it & see if it runs better via the cloud now it's available.

I'm going to try it on my 1X tomorrow to see what it's like.

Just had a quick fly over London in all sorts of weather & live data on the 1X via the cloud.

Considering I purposely didn't wire up the thing to my router just to see how it ran over wifi it didn't actually do to badly, I believe the cloud version is runs at 1080/30 however due to wifi there was a lot more pixelation, lod pop-in & stuttering.

As this isn't a racing or fps game it's something you can live with as you fly peacefully around.

I believe it'll probably fair better wired on a decent connection but considering how power hungry this game is, the fact that you can enjoy it on decade old hardware, tablets & mobile phones is quite frankly amazing, it'll save you 150gb+ of storage aswell :)

I hadn't noticed he had been banned and I don't know the exact reason why it happened.

But I do know his vision and opinions over at the Russian invasion thread were getting a bit too... emotional. So, it might be related to that.

What console you on/testing?

I don't think it's the speed, probably more stability. My 5g wifi hits over 250mb but fluctuats up & down with everyone on it, but to get stable solid 350mb I need to be hard wired.

My SX & SS are hard wired my 1X is wireless & to be fair it's kind of on life support aswell, it hasn't got long left.

Didnt realise until now that you could play it via Cloud gaming. Had a quick look last night at the store - not much free stuff on console 😥

Knowing this is available could be bad news for my free time... 😂

Where to go for my first flight? 🤔

It's only just become available on cloud for the old XB1, 1S, 1X & pretty much anything you can connect to the game pass app on.

Trust me, I’ve been troubleshooting the game in all those areas several times. I stopped trying when people I know got the game for the Series S and played it without any issues. Seen it with my own eyes. Something is wrong with the Series X version. I appreciate your input though.

Uhh. They changed the camera collision in the cockpits and now I can’t have my camera like I’m used to. That sucks big time. If it ain’t broke…

The Puente Nuevo being added is a real treat. Having first discovered it in Gran Turismo, actually seeing it in person - twice so far - is something else.

That flight from Marbella and up the San Pedro mountain road will be an interesting one. It's a superb driving road, too.

So how’s the game for you guys after the latest update on SX?

It’s a complete mess for me. Performance seems worse overall and it keeps crashing in the menus.

Same. It’s unacceptable. The official forum is full of series x users complaining. The game was more stable at launch, not been this bad, currently unplayable. They have had year now to improve things…..
