Uh, the latest one...

While FS95 is my first sweetheart, FS2004 is obviously my favorite, because it is the latest version.

I've been playing FS 2004 for a while now and after you get used to it and you figure out how everything works,it is awesome.Haven't tried Multiplayer, have no clue what you can do there.

Flight sim "98. Seeing as it is the only version which I owne and have played an awfull lot. That game had hours and hours of experimenting and exploring in it, but those days are behind me though.

(+ the graphics were amazing at the time)

A good place to practice is hong kong. Start out at the new airport in lantau island.

Then fly towards mainland kowloon(just a few minuts) and practice to land in the old airport.

It requires a sharp turn though. After that, take-off and land back at the new airport.

I did that and i'm not too bad now.

I just took these while configuring the Antonov AN255 to be able to take off.The plane was too heavy so it's couldn't take off from most runways. But i sorted that now.
It's actually a pretty cool plane after you get used to it and it's freakin huge.It towers over all the other aircraft.

You're overspeed in all the pics. Your wings should have ripped off by now. How come you're using a 747 panel? The AN-255 has six engines, the 747 only has four.

The creator of this model hasn't created a custom panel so he used the 747 panel instead. And don't mind that Overspeed warning,i was just testing how fast it could go.

This is one of the only reasons I regret getting a Mac - no FS. X-plane is good, but the models and things are just not as popular so there are fewer available. The terrain can't hold a candle, either.

Yeah, graphics and terrain are very serious drawbacks. But otherwise, X-Plane is very easy to get into, much less confusing than FS. Landing on carriers is great fun in X-Plane!

Yeah.......anybody here do crazy things?

Like flying inbetween the petronas twin towers? or below the golden gate bridge?

Trying to land at KLAX at noon?

Taking off from Ranger Creek in a snow storm?

Go barnstorming with the Jenny?

I have flown between and under things. Another thing I think is fun is turning on winds that are like 250 knots and trying to fly. The only planes you can get to fly forward in it are the supersonic ones. The 747's & stuff will very slowly fly forward. When you land it is like floating in. You barely feel like you touch the ground. Small planes like Cessna's fly backward.

Well, I used to fly FS95 on my Mac (or maybe a precursor like FS4). I did all manner of oddball stuff in that, such as it was. I landed the Cessna on the Golden Gate Bridge and took off again. It would also land and take off on the USS Eisenhower out near Catalina Island. I landed the Lear on the carrier successfully (no arrestor gear), but there was not enough deck to take off again, even with full flaps and standing on the brakes to spool the engines up.

FS2004 is great, I play it regulary. Expecially now on my new comp.
