Hmm, that would be a great time for me too. I might just have to switch over to the new time myself.

The car has a *bit* of understeer on Sport Softs, so anything lower than that is probably a no-go. I'm certain we'll end up on SS.

A bit? I must be driving a different car to you lot. :) And I feel that if you go lower on the tyres, the rear becomes more loose which solves the understeer. But hey-ho. How long is a normal race? I want to see how grippy the tyres are just before the mandatory pit stop.

That's why I put the bit word in the little star thingies to kind of show sarcasm. I'm probably the only one that sees it that way though. Anywho, yeah there is a lot of understeer but you can dial it out some by running higher rear brake settings and trail braking. Have you tried driving it at a smaller, twistier track?

Oh. :p I'm in the same boat as you then (ooh edit: no pun intended). And yeah I've been doing that right from the get go, especially at Spa where there is a late apex to a lot of corners. And yeah I've driven at Laguna and GVS Reverse. The only times I don't feel it understeering is at tight hairpins. You can go flat out through the long left hander after the corkscrew and the car doesn't even twitch. :yuck:

For people setting times around spa Mole and Aderrrm can hit 2:39 dead i can only do 40s myself but Aderrrm its fine on Sports Soft cmon :sly:

Also if anyone wants me to make a room ill make one at Trial Mountain

I think I hit a 39.2 last night, not 100% sure. Averaging 39.8-9 during races.

Edit: Anyone that can get me photos of their cars similar to the ones I need for your driver graphic would be awesome!

I might switch, if only to get away from Moieman/Aderrrm. :(

Just tested the car with Sports Soft, and Im surprised. The car can hold itself well on these tires apart from a few understeer moments... Problem is Im slow right now, 2.40.9 i think, but im only at 198HP. Better break it in

Anyone doing practice tonight? I r bored.

Also yeah, probably the same as Turbo tbh - high 2:39s is probably my race pace too, low 2:39s on a good lap - could dip into 38s if everything was right imo.

I'm happy with the Sport Softs too, seems a good tyre for the car, not too much grip not too little, especially once tyre wear is factored into it.

Alright this is my ride and driver for the Championship.

Oh look, 6 seconds behind! What a surprise! :(

EDIT: Oh, wait. were those times with Racing hards or Sport softs?
My times were identical at Spa. I had the faster time with the Softs at Trial Mountain.
Owens....it only says 216 because that is what the room was set at. We can't set it any lower without having to limit the cars. ;)
Correct. The limit goes up in intervals and the next lowest increment is around 208-209.

I knew the aliens would be a second faster than me.

Nope. Only one that broke into the 39's yesterday was Owens and that was because of the draft

Is this time for Spa?? if it is, Im wayyyyyyyy behind.

I didn't know we could vote multiple times, but anything 4 or later I can probably do, the later it gets the easier, so the one I picked was 10.

because of this and that times are confusing since you put them in EDT not UTC (the time code formerly known as GMT); you might want to redo the poll.

The confusion I speak of is because November 6th EDT will change to EST. So all the times in the poll are going to shift an hour.

UTC/GMT doesn't change. 20:00 UTC is 20:00 UTC; and everyone can figure out how that will effect their particular time zone at given times of the year. But right now 4PM EDT (UTC-4) = 20:00 UTC but after 11/6 4PM EST (UTC-5) = 21:00 UTC. But 4PM EDT will = 3PM EST which is what the time will *really* be when the races start.

Life would be so much easier if we'd pass a UN resolution to abolish daylight time. It's idiotic in a post-agrarian electric light having world. :grumpy:

Are you sure? Check the replay again from last night. Photo is taken on-track, and the same angle as this photo:

Edit: You should be able to get one from the replay you have saved.

I don't think everyone moving forward 1 hour will be an issue. I can never get this time stuff right, it's stupid. Lucky for me my time stays the same. :)

yeah for this week only uk will be 4hours ahead of EDT then it goes back to 5hours when it changes to EST.

EDIT - next week I mean UK will go from BST back to GMT on the 30th then a week later EDT will change EST on the 6th which means it should not affect anything as will back to 5hour difference by the start of the race.I'm not sure about any other time zones but.

That's the San Gimignano Town Square

same place I took my Pre-DLC sponsor reveal shot...

Though now that everyone has jumped on the blue/yellow bandwagon I'm either going to have to reverse the colors so it's yellow-body TC with blue wheels, or find something new.

So, being that we start on the 6th, does the Division 3 race start at 6 pm EST, or 5 pm EST, post time change?

If the later, that means race start a 4 CST. Which is great. Hosting means I open the room at 3. Which might be interesting, as I have the last auto-x of the year that day. Kinda need to make it, as, if I win, I will win Driver of the year for our region. I should be back home by then, but it might be tight.

Your times were 2:40.808 and 2:40.797. I remember your best time in practice was a 2:40.2 so it looks like both of us have another second to find.

Where do you want the pictures sent?

Just to keep in-line with GTP.* and to help the global audience can we talk race-time in UTC then?

I like using EDT. ;)
But for the record, typically when I someone refers to something like 7pm EDT, it switches to EST automatically when EST arrives.

But GMT is the one time zone I can always convert to in my head, +4 daylight, +5 standard time.

Might just keep everything the way it is and mark it as "EST".

PM or post here, doesn't matter.

Honestly it confused me so much that changing would probably confuse me more.

Add 5 for GMT. 4est = 9gmt 7est = 12gmt 10est = 3gmt, etc

Can someone give me the start times (4 / 6 / 10 PM EST) in UTC format? (Dr_Watson?)

UTC is the same as GMT, it's just that UTC is based on an atomic scale, not just solar.

UTC "format" is pretty much just military time.

Alright, updating OP.

I'm going to start posting driver graphics as I get them finished.

Edit: @ mopar440 - you already signed up, so I deleted your recent registration since there were two of them.

So Eastern Standard Time, which is what it's called when we're off daylight savings time is 5 hours minus UTC/GMT (-5 GMT). It's called Eastern Daylight Time when we're on daylight savings. Fall back, spring forward, so what do we do when we change to daylight savings? "catch up" one hour. So it becomes -4.

Right now, the times are listed at 16:00 EDT (4:00pm)/ 20:00 GMT (8:00pm), meaning that simply changing everything to EST and keeping the numbers the same will push the time up (remember, L.A chases New York) an hour for GMT making their race at 21:00 GMT (9:00pm).

What you wanna do is change the dates to 15:00 EST (3:00pm) 17:00 EST (5:00pm) and 22:00 EST (10:00pm)

Omg thank you!!! I was going crazy wondering how I fubarred myself out of two HP. Hahahaha

BrosifDuder
I was just joshing you dude! :)

I was like Brosif. Just cause I'm slow on track. Doesn't mean I am mentally slow. Ok maybe it does.

Also that original response came off a lil snippy. Definitely didn't mean for it too. :)
