I actually found the S3's to be easier to work with than the R1's and based on my times, the S3's are faster than the R1's but then again, my driving style is unique so take it for what it's worth.
 
I thought the miata felt good on Sport medium and soft plenty of grip with both not tried racing hard but I would of thought they would be faster than sport soft.

See Twin Cities raceway park is that a custom track ?

Just to let you know I can move to division 3 time if it helps you guys out, think thats 11pm here which should be ok I don't think I could go any later than that but. Also If there's a 3rd division does that mean only the top 5 people from each division qualify for the last race.

Just an idea if your going to have a 3rd division you could make it top 3 automaticly qualify from each division for last race.Then 4th,5th,6th,7th,8th from each division go into a playoff race where the top 7 from playoff would go into the final race, this means if one division is harder than the others it will still give people in the harder divisions a chance to reach the final race.

Just found out something funny when watching my battle with Turbo at Spa. (must get that on here somehow).

All day today (actually, it would be yesterday), I was driving the Mazda with Racing Hards instead of Sports Softs. :dunce:

In terms of drivability, much easier on the softs, yet, my times barely budged at Spa but now I think a sub 2:40 is possible for me.

As for Trial Mountain, got a 1:32.75 so definite improvement there.

That's weird. The room I jumped in with you @ Spa was restricted to Sport Softs. I didn't try to enter the track with Racing Hards but when I went into the car settings menu it had red "no-no" symbols next to the Racing Hards in the upper right summary area of the screen. I bought some Sport Softs, left the car settings menu, went back into the car settings menu and in the upper right it said the car was equipped with Sport Softs and the red symbols were gone.

I ran a 40.6 but if I string together my best sectors I've got a 40 dead. I am having trouble being consistent through Pouhon. With its downhill grade, it is so easy to overcook the first part of the corner and run wide mid-turn. Plus, you really need to haul milk through that corner to have a good sector time.

My overall impression of the Roadster TC is that it pushes like a mother-to-be in labor. Its balance feels a lot like that of the NA Spec Miatas used in Season 2. Messing around with the car settings would probably make it feel a lot more free but seeing as we are running a spec series and aren't allowed to run a tuned car I don't want to tease myself. But the car should be just as much fun to race in a tight pack as the Miatas used in Seasons 1 & 2 and as long as the racing is good I am happy.

After putting in a few laps with this miata, I am more excited for this series to start than ever. I was only able to run one race at spa(my third race at this track overall) but I really like that track and there is definitely some room for improvement for me. I was running in the 44's with a fresh car running 207 HP, but as soon as I smooth out a bit and learn the track a bit, I think I should be able to take a pretty big chunk out of that time.
On TM which is a track I know a little better, I was running low 34's.
Anyone else feel the excitement and buzz of the first "official" practice day for this series? We've been waiting so long for this series to start and...... now its here!!!!!!

Technically Sport Softs are a race tire, when compared to tires in real life. They might still be considered a street tire, but after a few track days they literally have no tread left and become a slick of sorts. Think Toyo R888's, Nitto NT-01, etc.

That's nice because we now have 7 or 8 people that can run at 6pm EDT. If we can get at least 2-3 more to make the switch, then we can open up a 3rd division. 👍

^^^ That's about right. Outlaw's lobby last night was set at 216, so I figured that was the lowest we could set it at to stay within spec.
 
well 213bhp is it fully ran in im sure as i ran it in the 200km twice changing oil after each...
also anyway tuning prohibted stops any add on parts so they would be 213bhp anyway :sly:

^ think you can still install parts when tuning prohibted is on, you just can't tune anything apart from your Brake's.But there's only and engine and turbo upgrade and I think you would be able to tell if someone had installed those anyway.

Im going to give it a try on Sports Soft. But please, do not go lower than this. :) *sigh* How i wish GT5 had an improved tire model, or allow us to choose specific tires.
 
The car has a *bit* of understeer on Sport Softs, so anything lower than that is probably a no-go. I'm certain we'll end up on SS.

Edit 2: We have 7 people that are available at 6pm EDT for a 3rd Division, so I will be PMing those people to get them set up for that. Which means we have spots open for that time slot if anyone on the reserve list would like to switch.

I might be able to make that work. However, later is better for me. That middle time is right around dinner time, and the wife might not be too keen on pushing it back. However, it is on the early end of dinner time, so might actually be able to do so.

Turbo I would like to switch from Div 2 to The earlier division. If that's possible now.
 
Yeah, so it looks like I have a lot of work to do if I want to have any shred of a chance this season. But at least I'll try!

I know how to break in cars.....so I thought, this one I changed oil at new. Raced last night online had 63 miles..changed oil again. Did some B-spec and got it to 120ish miles changed oil. More B-Spec till 190 ish miles and changed oil. Was thinking that should do it. Nope. So back to B-spec and now sitting at 300 miles and oil change no 216hp. I rebuilt the entire car and still not 216hp.

Aero no, brakes not sure. RA menu allows it during race.
 
Alright I have my car setup as of right now:
207 HP
795 Kg
484 PP
Tires: Racing Hard, will switch to Sports Soft to comply with Regs.

Currently pulling a 2:48:XX or 2:49:XX on Spa with this setup.

Using a DS3 No Steering Wheel
 
Owens....it only says 216 because that is what the room was set at. We can't set it any lower without having to limit the cars. ;)
