Yep, if their logo is up, I've got permission to use it. Been in talks with Mazda for several weeks now, but they are being more legal about it and the guy who I've been talking to doesn't really respond to emails. :grumpy:

I think the demons have been exorcised. Room yesterday had no problems except it did crash about 4 hours in but that appeared to be a server issue.

(At least, that's what I hope it was) :lol:

Edit: Okay. The demons are forever haunting stuck inside my PS3. Someone else care to open a room? :indiff:

It's not my connection because I had the same issues when I lived in Vegas and I was with a different provider. In both cases, I even bypassed the router and connected the modem directly to the PS3 and I still cannot get a stable room.

The only conclusion I could come to is that it's the PS3 itself. 👎

Just a question after a few races just now - Is bump drafting permitted? I don't normally expect to be pushed down a straight but a few drivers were pushing rather than passing - I know the 'advantages' of it (though, on an oval yes, on a road circuit no..), but I really don't agree with it. Just meant a lot of these races were with cars way too close together under braking - feels really dangerous because the guy sat on my bumper isn't necessarily going to know where my braking point is - I got pushed off a few times at the end of the long Spa straight as a result, and it wasn't a malicious move, just that they were bump drafting me and I needed to brake earlier than they expected.

...So, allowed or not please? :P

We've discussed this in the Integras (and Lotuses) a few times, and I'll say what I've always said: If you know how to do it properly, it's faster for both drivers involved. In the 2 Integra races at La Sarthe, people were able to break away from the rest of the field and stay ahead by bump drafting.

There were also people who did not bump draft in the Lotus race, instead passing on every straight, and swerving when ahead of people, and they ended up slowing everyone around them down (Brosif can attest to that)

But Spa is a different track from La Sarthe, and you wont lose much, if any time by not bump drafting down Kemmel. The situation you described is of a guy who didn't know how to do it properly. You have to let off the gas much earlier if you're the "pusher."
 
Sunlight isn't quite how you asked Turbo, but he got the bumper damage in first corner, I hadn't known so this is the only replay I got. This looks pretty decent though I think. :cheers:

I'm finally getting my TC ready, and one thing I noticed right off, the Standard Diff isn't 'installed'. Kind of reminds me of the Racing Exhaust glitch when you RM cars. Anyone else get this? And just to be clear, it is okay to go ahead and install it, right?

Yeah, this is my concern. I have no problem with it so long as people know what they're doing, which is why I raised it - better to sort this kind of stuff before the season starts.

I think PD knows that it's incorrect and plan on fixing it.

I have the same concern. It's very effective, even at Spa, if done properly.

It's the people who don't back off early enough that are the issue with this, and the driver being pushed is left pretty helpless in the situation. I've been rear-ended going into bends at Spa more times then I care to count, because I tend to brake earlier then most people, something I'm not about to change for someone else's benefit, no offense.

I can't really see banning it, but at the same time one irresponsible late push can end someone's race, as we know, people are more aggressive in video games then irl.

On another note, I hated the way this car looked in red, so I'm still looking for another color :P

And on yet another note, I love the way this thing sounds. Has a mean little growl to it, like, "I'm a Lamborghini, I really am, I swear!".

EDIT: Went with Astro Black Metallic body, Phoenix Red Solid wheels.

might be the latter. I know I've improved a lot since GT-A. Mainly that gaining consistency from all the good racing series with you folks allowed me to figure out where I was sucking.
You're popular series is also drawing in bigger guns from all of their hiding places. ;)

yeah, no kidding... TM has one safe passing spot and it's followed by the most important corner which also happens to be the easiest to spin on.

It's fun to time trial, but murder to race on.
Generally more fun the reverse direction. It's like the opposite of autumn ring (where it's awful backward and fun forward).

I feel exactly the same :(
For me its a combination of rusty from my part and other people getting better.
But i'm trying to take it as a challenge though.


I'm gonna jump in with Andil here and say i got slapped a lot during our Spa practice races today. And i wish it was only because of bump drafting. We had some wild races today, not in a good way.

I was on both ends last night, all I had to do to keep my lead my drive error free, and to pass you just have to play the waiting game.
The real issue is 10-14 cars entering turn 1, I foresee a great crash involving (at least) half the field.

Other then that I take tracks I dislike as an extra challenge, just Madrid worries me for more reasons, even more so then Monaco.

Figured I'd voice that now, just so I said it ahead of time, don't want to sound sour about it, I just fear the worst for that race.

I second that.

And the worst part is that the waiting game, can be the waiting game for the end of your race. If the guy in front of you makes a big mistake, theres nothing you can do to get away from him.

But believe it or not, the races we did it yesterday on Madrid, were more clean then the ones i had on Spa today.
