From the OP:

Should be three.

Thanks.

I think this sentence is why I thought once someone is replaced by a reserve driver then the reserve driver gets to keep the spot for the remainder of the season. This sentence could explicitly say the reserve driver is a temporary substitute for the race in question only, or something to that effect.

What it basically comes down to is that I do not like when people sign up for my series, then don't show up at races without letting me know they can't make it. So, to fix that issue I replace them with someone else that can assure me they will make the races and/or let me know they will be absent. All it takes is a simple message to me saying you can't make that weekends race, then you'll get to keep your spot. 👍

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

After having just run Trial Mountain a couple times in the practice room, I have made the decision to cut that track from the schedule, and will be replacing it with Nurburgring GP/F.

I'll update the OP before the end of the night.

Also, I thought about instead of having three separate points tables, would everyone be OK with having just one table? That way you see where everyone stands at all times. I'll have a separate column that shows which division you are in so that it's easy to spot who you are racing against.

Oh that makes me happy. Love the GP/F

Fun races tonight!

Well, that's kind of good I suppose. I wasn't really a fan of Trial Mountain, and I didn't think it made for very good racing. Hopefully I'll be able to practice with you guys sometime soon...

👍 on track change.

On single table - is the qualification to the championship race gonna be based on point standing in the overall table or within the division? Personally I don't care either way, just thought this should be spelled out.

You sir, have just made my day and my week. I despise Trial Mountain quite a lot. :D :p

That table thing would be cool. I wonder what it'll look like. :dunce:

Good and good. 👍

Still within the division. Top 5 from each + 1 Wildcard.

Can the wild card be based on votes from the group? Or or or!!!! Have the bottom half race together for that wild card spot. Winner takes all. So to speak.

About the conjoined tables, your talking about comparing total times to rank every one?

What is this Wildcard you speak of?

I was going to take one of the 6th place drivers in points, whoever had the highest number of points.

I'd specify something in advance for a WC. Like "6th place with most points/highest in overall table" or smth else mechanical.

It's already been in the OP for a week or two. Third post I believe. ;)

Total points, yes.

Also, excuse the horrible video quality...I'm working on getting a capture card. In the mean time, check out this horrible video of Wardez's spin and my near miss. :dopey:

Edit: @ Wardez - Nice job of trying to straighten it out. Tank slapper got ya. 👍

Excellent. 👍

I have a 2:15.409 right now but I'm certain the times will be down to around the low 2:13s. Of course, doesn't matter what my times are because the draft is definitely back to what it was which means I have no chance to compete. 👎

Turbo,

If on the wild card you took 6th- 10th place from each of the three divisions. You would have a 15 car race.

The starting order be based on points. So highest points 6th place guy gets pole for wild card race. Then so on with the rest of the field.

Not trying to undermine you. Just thought this sounded very exciting and gives us slower guys a reason to catch a top ten points finish. ;)

Think out loud. If you do adopt this idea. I'm willing to take duties on getting the race organized and hosted. Beings 15 racers. Even if I don't make it. I can host it.

If so. It will be broadcasted live.

big 👍 to the changes.

nice video.... looks miraculous we both missed him.
(just might need more brightness on the capture).

that actually sounds really fun, having a wild-card knock out race the morning (or saturday) before the main event.

Lol, ok. Makes sense then :)

Yes, except that it was tried last season ( "room B" winner got a guaranteed spot in "room A" race for next week) and the 'room B' race was kinda a dirty mess, iirc.

I vaguely remember something like that.
Case of making the prize too big I guess.

I'd be up for this.

It was a cheap video camera pointed at the TV.

Schedule graphics have been updated.

👍 Bravo for coming up with this.
The quality of the ideas surrounding this series is impressive.

I'll also add that I wasn't digging trial mountain much, so the change is welcome. On the other hand, I have never driven the new track in an online series so I don't know it well. It seems like a tough track to master too.
No time like the present to learn new track, I suppose.

We'll probably need a picture of your new colors. The last I remember you running at Laguna was with a red car with silver wheels. As far as the jumping cars, I'm not too worried about it. Obviously some people will do it on accident, but I don't expect anyone to do it on purpose. I know a lot of these guys and have been racing with a majority of them in this series for some time. If someone see's something that they deem unacceptable, just let me know and I'll take a look at the replay.

Ok, unfortunately I can't get anything until I get power back. Something like 50% of Connecticut is without power (it's really bad, like a war zone here.) No PS3, no GT5, no picture until the power comes back. Only reason I have internet access is here at work (we have our own power plant here running the facility.)

I'll get the pic as soon as I can, just wanted to verify my spot is secure. Thanks Jason.

Now that Trial Mountain is out, what kinds of Time's were people doing there in the proper lobby conditions (I.E. Tire Wear On, Grip Real.) I did a personal best of 1'31.514, that was a solid lap. Linking personal best sectors could get me near 1'31.2 range... :)

Too bad Trial Mountain is out, it's a blast to drive and would have really tested the driving talent of each group. But I can understand the concerns for dropping out. But I'm looking forward to GP/F. It's a great track, with only 1 opportunity to cut the course and gain big time. You can run wide in a couple of places, but that will be policeable. Overall a great racing track, and a good decision to run on it. Unfortunately, if I get no power back in a week (very likely) I might have no practice on it in this car; assuming I even get electricity back by next Sunday. <sigh>

Don't worry about it forced, you're good.

I'm going to make those changes to the wildcard spot shortly.

Hey Turbo,
Unfortunately I won't be able to make this Sunday's race due to work related travel :(
That will be my one throwaway, so no room for error for the rest of the season for me :nervous:

Thanks for letting me run with you guys in yesterday's practice, I had fun even though I've got some catching up to do if I want to run with the pack. Every race has its back markers. I'm not accustomed to momentum cars like the Miata, even though I got to run a Spec Miata at Laguna Seca track day a few years back. I mostly run high-power cars like the Corvette Z06. With the Miata I've got to learn to use the brakes less. I'll be studying the replays from last night to learn from this group of great racers.

Im going to change my colors like you told me to Turbo, and I would appreciate if someone could take a pic of my car and upload it here. 👍 Let me know if any of you is available to take a pic of my car.
