Thanks for letting me run with you guys in yesterday's practice, I had fun even though I've got some catching up to do if I want to run with the pack. Every race has its back markers. I'm not accustomed to momentum cars like the Miata, even though I got to run a Spec Miata at Laguna Seca track day a few years back. I mostly run high-power cars like the Corvette Z06. With the Miata I've got to learn to use the brakes less. I'll be studying the replays from last night to learn from this group of great racers.

I grinded hard last night, I never really get enough mileage on the car when I'm in the practice rooms so I ran 10 lap races in my own lounge on like 5 of the tracks last night, improved my times and got close to having my car fully broken in (which is probably why my times improved).

I'm going to send out a PM tonight to those who have registered and have not yet turned in a photo of their car. Just FYI.

I have two questions.

1. It was said in earlier post I think that the races will be about 45 minutes? Do we have a # of laps for each circuit?

2. Are we allowed to adjust the front/back downforce of the car?

cant wait for nurb next week racing with such fast drivers and in these wee beasts! ill be happily running in mid pack i just hope for the rest of yas in D1 Aderrrm doesnt hog all the wins :sly:

Also all divisions look like they have top drivers from all other series ive raced so to get top5 come the end of the 5 races for anyone will be a hard task :scared:

The day before each race (Saturday) I will make a new post with all the info you need to know about that weekend's race. These posts will be easy to find since you will be able to click on each race's schedule graphic in the OP and it will take you straight to it. 👍

We're using the prohibited tuning option in the race lobbies so the only thing you can change and still make regulation is brake bias and tires, that's it. And we're only using Sport Softs,

Switch to setup 2. Or 3.
Or go through pushing the "reset to default" button on all settings.

If you add chassis rigidity, there is nothing anyone can do to help, it's not removable, and currently second copies of the car cannot be acquired.

Bad news. Because we were at Nurb F, the headlights are up by default. I didn't catch that until now. :dunce:

Edit: Lesson for anyone that still needs car pics. Don't try doing them at Nurburgring F. :lol:

Might wanna zoom in on the car a bit Hami, so it fills up about 2/3 of the screen or so.

Nice to see you back around btw. You're not too late to sign up. Just see what divisions have spots available and choose.

My Spec Miata season is over now. I'll have more time to play GT5. My last Spec Miata race was pretty brutal - got some damage. Working on editing the video. Captured lots of good stuff. Here's some footage from a competitor http://mazdaracers.com/topic/1363-scca-grand-am-weekend-mid-ohio/ Was running 5th when #1 blew his engine. I was the lucky guy who spun in front of 39 other cars, sitting in the kill zone at exit over a hill. Worked from 40th back to 23rd. Two more races that weekend and got damage in both. I'll get the video posted soon.
 
Nice, glad you made it through the old piniata fest in one piece. Looking forward to peeping the videos. But for now, back to work for I.
 
chassis rigidity is not tuning right I did it and still lets me in races so am I ok?
