Man that thing moves alot. You know I could see my husband going nuts if I set that up in my liveing room.

Heh, it's hooked up to LFS. I'm not really up on all of this stuff, but isn't there some standardised "OutSim"-style communications thinger for this sort of motion simulator malarkey? It'd be good if consoles started using it, too.

WARNING! Do not use with X2010 or X2011!

That's the first thing that got to my mind too! Imagine going to daytona speedway and hitting max speed into the banked wall... :nervous:

Edit: I lol'd for the video above.

Head on? You pray!!!!

I wonder if it has any effect on the monitors durability...

I was just thinking that would all that movement affect the life of the tv

Realistic effects like the realism of crashing through your tv like a windscreen keep your helmut strapped ha ha

Making the room completely dark would fool the brain into believing the moves were real.

You must be able to split the output from the wheel and pedals and have a separate computer controlling the hydraulics?

^^ Yes, I have no noticed that now.

Can't say anything for the constant vibrations and jerking about, as it would probably shorten its life a bit. But as long as the monitor doesn't wallop the wall, or come off its bracket, or catch the driver, I think it would stand up okay.

I would be more concerned about my vertebrae over the monitor, though, if I'm honest

I expect this rig does have a computer controlling it, yes, but the input to that controller comes from the game in the form of force and orientation vectors.

Well, being a giraffe and all, I expect that might be a bigger problem for you... :p

the only way that the g forces would feel real would be if all other eye stimuli were removed. In a dark capsul or something the brain would derive all of its information from the ears inner workings for gforces. Otherwise it probably just feels like your on a roller coaster while playing gt.

That would be HILARIOUS

If I had a lot of money I'd buy this, then pay Kaz a whole bunch of money to make my GT5 compatible with it. That would be a much better way to spend Saturday night than going out drinking, no I'm not being sarcastic, I'm serious :)

That have been reposted here well more than it needs to, not GT5 related either.

Its most likely air cylinders. This video shows up on here every six months. Still awesome tho.

And it still manages to show up in the wrong forum....

Air cylinders with alot of lag I bet... and that it doesnt translate into what he should be feeling.

Servo motors would solve that. They would increase the cost significantly however.

I just realized he's playing using a motorcycle so that may be why it leans so far and lifts and dives like an animal. Any videos with a normal car, F1 preferably :)

You cannot get over 1g because that is the gravity of the earth
Just saying

Cool thing though... nuts for rally racing no doubt

Double post because I can't multi-quote on my phone but, I can just imagine the warning for rally. "Warning: Females, DO NOT drive off road games with this. You know why, we don't even need to explain it, unless you're into that sort of thing, then have at it."
