And, that being the staff's opinion conveyed to you by a member of staff, that's the opinion that counts.

This thread is for the 2016 F1 Monaco Grand Prix. The interesting aside that has come about from it certainly merits its own thread, rather than burying it 3 pages into what will likely be a 20 page dissection of a racing incident that was clearly Hamilton's fault...
Which is why I pointed out that apparently my opinion and preference are "wrong" in the following sentences.
I find large threads much easier to navigate as opposed to dozens of smaller ones. That's just me though. Apparently my preference is wrong though.

You guys are really on a selective reading tip today eh? Thanks for contributing though ;)

Random question, but why do so many liveries cut off at the rear of the car in the same angular way? Cars that have it include Marussia, Haas, and Renault. Why do others like Williams have the whole thing white? Does it have anything to do with heat coming from under the engine cover?

Not apparently. Actually.

I'm not sure what you think you're achieving by continuing to debate this but it stops now.

It's because of the heat.

Rosberg (and Paddy Lowe) have been speaking to The Beeb and blame their lack of pace* on a lack of ultra-soft running prior to Monaco. Well, there's a lesson there then.

* Lack of pace in this case means that one team was faster than them.

Red Bulls are flying 👍:)

Spy.

Kvyat and Sainz seem well matched on pace at the moment. Both 0.811s off the fastest time with 15min to go.

Edit: Verstappen into the barrier at Massenet. Seemed to hit pretty flush, might have some internal damage.

Nasr already out with a blown up engine.

It happens in the tunnel, he could have gone straight on to park the car but instead in his stupidity he decides to stay on track.

I really hope there isn't any oil leak, couldn't have picked a worse place for that.

Well there it is

edit: dp, Max into the wall.

Verstappen hard into the wall around the Swimming Pool. Red flag.

Dammit.

Ah well. At least we will see some overtaking tomorrow.

Ugh, swap him Sainz already :p

Certainly no lack of speed, gawd.

Guess that takes the hypetrain to an unwanted stop.

Alonso better gets a good lap done now.

Whole lotta understeer for Alonso there.

Max hit the guard rail, that broke his right front suspension and sent him into the barrier.

Alonso into Q3. Button in P13

Alonso into Q3 :dopey: but both Williams out in Q2 :(

In the interview he said he was not on the limit, but "simply" turned in too early.

Well, seeing how he snapped his suspension that might be true.

Drama for Lewis.
Let the conspiracy theories begin.
