I mean in the replay it clearly looks like Oscar hit the wet curb an lost it.
 
Very 2003 vibes with three cars crashing at Turn 3 all independently at the same time
 
Colapinto was in trouble right from turn 1. Straightened it up and then hit the wet kerb.

Colapinto got right into the start of the tire barrier, that must have hurt 😬

No Kimi was right. Just saw the replay from his onboard, big splash from Lando.

Kimi's POV showed Lando kicking up a little water. Must've been enough to turn that kerb into ice.

The replay from Kimi's car just shown sees Norris splashing through a puddle and Piastri being the next car that hit it while on full load. Really unlucky and the first time I have ever seen a Mario Kart item working in F1 :lol:

Such a bad spot to go off. Could've been so much worse for Piatri, Hulk, and Colapinto. Glad it wasn't.

Why would they put Lando on softs? Seems unnecessary and dare I say stupid?

Holy moly that was enormous. Car took off over the white line and hit the barrier in mid air, that was absolutely huge.
 
Chaotic Sprint. Track surface was tricky.

Lando did well to hold on with those Softs.

Kimi was a beast. Kept Lando honest. Nice podium for the Mercs.

Sucks for Piastri, Hulk, Colapinto, and Bortoleto. Gabriel's car just snapped. Nasty impact. Hope they all can make Qualifying.
 
These cars are incredible. Bortoleto just walks away from this. Crazy.

First 3 should be fine for qualy. Bortoleto no chance, I'd say.
 
More than ever now, Oscar needs a race win. Even finishing ahead of Lando for the other places won’t help. Rain may be his best chance.
 
Really unlucky for Oscar, his title chances are fading fast right now.
 
Not really, because it was a sprint race he only lost 6 points. Again, we get a waste of exciting moments by it meaning very little.
This is why the Sprints suck. Apart from crashes, what happened in that race that mattered or didn't matter because the chequered flag came too early?

The wet kerb tried to get Max as well, but his reflexes (and a slightly slower speed because of Oscar’s spin ahead) saved him.
 
Shouldnt there have been an investigation into crashapinto and the hulk both crashing while speeding in a double waved yellow zone?

All momentum has shifted, and he keeps bleeding points. When the chips really are down, McLaren will back Norris fully.
