Williams podium

im so teen wolf GIF

since the last

Lewis tried to give Charles the place back but left it a touch too late before the line.

Last Williams podium in a full length race? Baku 2017, Lance Stroll.

Solid.

Tsunoda might have had the 2nd worst race after Piastri. He's not helped himself in the cursed Red Bull.

Sister team aiding the bigger team, imo. Yuki had made a couple looks and then backed off the remaining laps. I wouldn’t be surprised if Zak makes himself apparent.

I maintain that the RB is the better car, it would just be a PR nightmare to have swapped Max into the RB for the season.

Well! Missing half the race was better than avoiding spoilers until the 4pm rebroadcast, and after catching up on the FP1, 2, 3, and Qualifying, that was a pretty chaotic weekend.

I see Max ran away from everyone.

Solid P2 for George.

Sainz P3?! Sainz P3! Nice.

No Piastri. No maximized points for Norris. No clinched WCC for McLaren.

Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull:

Good clean race for Kimi when he needed it.
Russell getting the job done as ever, even when sick. Just give him a contract already.
Nice to see Carlos and Williams there on genuine pace.

Piastri with the great escape to still be 25 points clear after a nightmare weekend.

Well done Sainz! Awesome performance by Williams. Didn't think they would be anywhere near there but he made it stick. The shocker for me is the RB with Lawson. How did he keep a red Bull, a McLaren and both Ferraris behind him is beyond me.

I had a feeling the Mercedes were cooking since they were quiet for most of the weekend and Russell is once again on the podium.

The biggest disappointment has to be Ferrari. They looked strong all weekend only to finish 8-9. Qualifier definitely played a massive role on this race. I reckon had they both qualified higher they would have had a much better race result.

Max was just inevitable. He just put himself right back into that championship. Only 69 points behind. Both McLaren drivers are going to have to watch their back now. Piastri's can't be making those mistakes if he wants to win this year championship.

That can be Oscars only bad weekend now, he's effectively been given a free hit with Lando failing to capitalise in P7.

Game on.

No clinched WCC for McLaren.

Strike Red Bull from that, they are now no longer capable of winning the WCC. If they get a 1-2 in all remaining races and sprints, without McLaren scoring anything, they're 5 points short.
Just Max still has his theoretical WDC chance.
Ferrari and Mercedes still are technically able to do it, but only barely. It's pretty much guaranteed to he settled in Singapore.

Sainz has become along with Prost, the only driver to have achieved a podium finish with McLaren, Ferrari and Williams.
It's a shame Carlos never managed one for Renault, could have been an even more remarkable stat.
