... ever.

Well, that too. Been watching F1 regularly since 1993 and Canada 2011 is one of the best races in any discipline I've ever seen.

Bernie needs to fit every circuit with sprinklers.

To be honest most of this seasons end has been a bit boring thus far.

I'd disagree with that. Even with Vettel winning most of the races, the racing behind him has generally been excellent. Only India, Korea and Valencia have been truly mind-numbing this year.

I have been thinking.

Should F1 have a ballast weight system added so we have no more vettle wins type season and give the mid runners a chance to get in the points?

I agree. Also Hungary made me make odd noises at the TV.

Oddly he did propose that a few years back. None of the teams wanted it though.

Mind you, I only started watching Korea from lap 36. All that I saw there was just Hamilton holding off Webber for the whole time there. Although Alguersuari's 7th place was great there 👍

Oh, and now you do edit Korea in

That is how Hamilton should drive.

Not there is Massa i want to ruin his race and make "It's cause i'm black comments" when i get in trouble.

I suffer from the long term ailment of being a Felipe Massa fan.

That is how Hamilton should drive.

That was him defending though. Every one of his contacts this year with Massa have come whilst he is attacking him, usually through the pit stop phases as Massa always stays out longer than the others then. Besides which, it's Webber, not Massa. (Canada obviously is an exception, even if Hamilton did still ruin his race later.)

India has done it, a fantastic race! 👍

The story is as always at the front with Vettel, Button, Alonso, Webber and the two Mercedes guys doing very well up in front. The mid-field battle was awesome too. I had a thought of Kovalainen scoring their first point ever this season but ah well, the pace was just not there yet.

I couldn't think of what Massa was doing. He did too many mistake this weekend and that caused a lot of points to Ferrari's tally. Hamilton actually did very well in this race and starting to see him back to what he used to. I'm happy for him...

India done, 2 more to go!

EDIT:

Somewhere from this race, I feel bad for Buemi. With the chance of Ricciardo getting into Toro Rosso getting bigger and bigger, could he be replaced if he couldn't keep his performance up? Jaime did just right though in the race.

Haha, awesome. The room before podium:

Button: What happened to Lewis?
Alonso: Clashed with Massa (or something like that, hard to hear)
Button: Oh jesus

Yeah. It seems more and more these days that if someone is getting ousted, it's gonna be Sebastien. Squire is putting in good result after good result these days. You can tell he got out of the car he was really upset.

I couldn't quite hear it at the time so thanks for the transcript on that one! It is quite funny.

As for the incident itself: Lewis is in a weird place, his racing before the crash was good but he was badly affected by the crash and it showed in his final position. I feel for him even if he was being a little bit too brave.

Massa on the otherhand is looking more and more like a childish idiot. Before the race Lewis apparently said have a good race and wished him well. Massa then appeared in a post race interview where he said it wasn't enough etc etc. It is a shame since Felipe was a good racer and has been through alot and I used to have alot of time for him but not anymore.

An interesting revelation by the BBC in their F1 forum (where they go around talking to everybody post race - basically anyone they could find) was that Williams and Raikoonnen have been in conversation, Adam Parr said that Kimi was very keen to return. Here's hoping!

Dull race. Massa chopping up Hamilton was amusing, but it was a bit naff compared to other races. I think circuits like this just show how much difference there is between cars, also we didn't have the tyre fight we normally have due to the baffling decision of Pirelli to send Softs and Hards.

Abu Dhabi up next, that will be exciting, no wait, I mean the other thing, oh yes, dull.

So, anyway...

Also, why is Webber not being reprimanded for cutting the entirety of turn 11 every lap?

Most drivers were getting the right-hand two tyres pretty close to the white line, with the rest of the car beyond it, but Webber was wholly over the line - and substantially so - every single lap. No penalty...

On the exit you mean? I think the steward just accepted it as everyone was doing it. It's a bit like corner 5 at Catalunya, the chicane. Everyone cuts it, so the steward allow it.

Webber was the only one doing it. Like I said:

The left-hander at 11 after the right-handed bowl of 10. Webber was completely off the inside of the track, every single lap. No other driver was. It was completely ridiculous.

I found a video. At 45 seconds.
But if only he was doing it, then that's a bit odd. Maybe they thought he wasn't gaining an advantage.

I should add that I do dislike Webber intensely, but it doesn't matter which driver was the one doing it - he was the only one - as none should be doing it. Shortening the track by leaving it is shortening the track by leaving it.

Mind you, I also dislike this F1-confined notion that running off the outside of a corner (making it faster) isn't gaining an advantage, giving us the spectacles of cars being several yards off the track at La Source and Albert Park turn 4.

Tarmac run-offs make it a bit too easy for them sometimes. Unfortunately for both those examples, they're both bits of public road so there's little they can do (beyond stricter enforcement of the rules, of course). On a regular circuit, I'd personally advocate a three or four metre wide strip of gravel before the rest of the tarmac runoff. It means that they'd still have the safety of tarmac for any driver who legitimately runs off the circuit, but discourages people from doing it deliberately.

They should add more of these suspension destroying 'mega' kerbs, which Massa succumbed to twice. That should give them something to think about.

I agree but I'll give you odds that next year those nasty cheater traps are gone on safety grounds.

About Mark Webber, haters gonna hate. You aren't a steward Famine, nor do you have the rule book infront of you. As for the race, was fairly uneventful, Vettel once again showing why he is the best and Jenson on form (if only he could qualify) as per usual lately.
