Yeah thats what I said above too. We need more tracks. Thats one reason I got tired of Forza 2 was the lack of tracks. Got sick of doing the cobra tracks.

And, was it just me, or did they introduce the "ring" way too late in the campaign? I mean, the first time you race it, wasn't until you hit level 35 or something like that. They waited way too long to use it, then they used it only a small handful of times. They just used their watered down "snake" tracks and New York (worst track design ever) to "fill" series events. I was thoroughly disappointed with the track layout/schematic. :(

So where are the new tracks?

This is from the Gamespot article.....

"GS: After this release, we'll have two DLC car packs. When can we expect new tracks or other goodies in Forza 2? Care to drop any hints on what you have planned next?

DG: We have a lot more in store for the rabid Forza community. It's much easier to "quickly" turn around a cars pack than a track pack. Of course, "quickly" being a relative term in next-gen game production. Tracks take upwards of 3 to 5 months to build, plus testing and iteration time--not to mention the reference collection and coordination trips. That said, DLC tracks are on the way. We started working on DLC tracks at the same time we started the Nissan pack."

As with many people who still play Forza, I believe a track package will be the best thing to happen to the game. As for the DLC cars, I am REALLY going to have to convince myself to fork over money for that selection of cars. I really only own 1 car of the 3 free ones so I think I will have to see how "worth it" it actually is.

Yeah, I hated how they had you begin with the proving grounds tracks and then they throw you on the ring in an S class car.

I gave up on single player before I even got to the ring. We used to joke if we had to race Tsukuba in the next championship (and if it wasn't that, it was maple freakin valley)

I'm still interested in Forza 2, as it's the cute fun date that holds me over till my bride finally comes to town (Gran Turismo 5). But the lack of tracks, the almost-there physics and those awful tire sounds are beginning to wear on me. And that Car Pack is uninspiring. When my car creation fling runs it's course, I'll probably go back to GT4 till Prologue comes out.

And I have to second the arrangement of tracks in Career Mode. I was beginning to despair that I wasn't going to see the Nurb till the last series of races. And Maple Valley reverse is about the worst idea ever.

My new Challenger. 800+ HP.

*sigh* I broke down and bought the car pack last night because I wanted the Civics. I'm not disappointed in them either, my Type R kicks ass when it's tuned to be a C class car.

Looks at the last two posts, then looks at the car list.

Yes they are out, how else would we have access to the cars that were in the DLC if they weren't?;)

Anyways the packs were out last Thursday I believe.

Yeah, I couldn't remember if the charger was in there or not? :dunce:

:sigh: I have a crap load of points just for FM2... might as well use em.

I'm still having good fun with FM2. I tune some new cars every so often.

Now I'm working on this Ferrari 575M, a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Lamborghini Murcielago and I'm trying to buy a Porsche 993 GT2 off the auction house for a reasonable price.

Nice challenger btw.

I just go to the tuning marketplace over at fm.net. There are some pretty sick tuners in there w/ low scoreboard times. That's what I love about fm2 everything is tied together and works great. I'm actually in the process of painting up an rx7 for one of the tuners..should be cool.

I think I like Forza so much because I may be bored with the same ol' stuff in the GT series. Ive raced with Mustang quite a few times and it has been very fun and competitive. I really just play the game because my brother went off to college and it is a good way to keep in touch with him. Besides, I really don't want to fork over the money for a PS3 just yet so why not play the best racing game for 30 out right now?

Now....I still have to decide if I want to purchase these cars or not...

Hmm, gonna have to have a looksee for this download. To be honest though, i don't have much time for gaming etc anymore since i'm getting to know a certain someone of the opposite gender. ;)

Any word on new content coming out? I'm seriously thinking about trading this game in so I can get Mass Effect but if something cool is in the pipeline I might hang on to it.

I want to drive an tune the audi R8 and the new TT. Any DLC content coming?

To answer my own question this friday there will be a new DLC with cars and a track.

Meh... I'll try it then but go right back to NFS: PS and Juiced 2.

Too bad. This game is quite the awesomeness. It's the only game I've been playing consistently since June. I'm part of a league right now that races Saleen Mustang's, Touring Car, Le Mans Series and also a Trans-Am series. I only take part in Touring Car and LMS though.

Stuck in FM2 for the heck of it... scrolled though some cars... it froze. Oh yeah, that's why I don't play it anymore. xD

Forza 2 in my opinion has been overshadowed by NFS pro street for me, I may have to take it down the shops and see what I can trade it for.

How does NFS Pro ****e even compare? It's dreadful. The steering is fake, the grip races are dull, even in a GTR and it's not a lot different to the game they've been putting out for the last 5 years. Except it's worse than any of them.

There'll be 11 cars and 1 track which will cost a combined 500 MS points, which is a bargain.
