Which do YOU prefer..............lol.

Lol even in your biased pic comparison, GT5's concrete looks real vs the cartoon style of your Forza pic.

One pic is moving, and the other is still, not sure how you can compare.

But how bout that Lupo!

Well, at least the realistic looking pavement makes up for the car model driving on it.

Also, on the topic of cartoon cars.

Here let me help you out with that

Now compare the concrete. I think its funny that your even trying to compare things like concrete..

I was just trying to make a stupid argument over the original stupid argument.
If you want to do pic comparison which are NOT EVEN in-game racing graphics, we should be doing them on same track same car same speed same weather. Even the replays in Forza4 are not using the same In-Game racing graphics engine, so it doesn't count. Same as GT's TV camera mode in replay doesn't count, but the cockpit replay is ok as it's using the same in-game racing graphics engine.
Your not serious are you?? The Forza pic is at speed as to the GT5 pic standing still.

I never really noticed any difference between in game and replays.

Your the self proclaimed "graphics whore", my point was from my pics 'cartoon' graphics look the best!
but seriously, be very wary of knocking Forza 4 whilst there's 800 card in Gt5 like that Lupo.

Really? I was not aware of that.

Of course you weren't, because that statement is false

The replays are indeed using the same graphics engine, just at 30FPS and highest level of detail, as opposed to the 60FPS and lowered level of detail during gameplay.

That Lupo pic is a bad example of the quality you get in GT5. You should have posted a premium for comparison, but keep the standard there as 80% of the car content falls under the standard category. What I think is a shame is that there is a Lupo specific career race in both A and B specs and you literally see that horrible jaggy mess on the hatch pillar as you drive by.

FYI, GT5's latest DLC has a standard to premium conversion as 1 of the 6 cars:

Good upgrade, now has a real cockpit, and I believe working wipers with the splash effects in the rain. The standard Jag I think was one of the better looking standard cars in the game. I purchased only the car pack mostly for the Aston Martin V12 Vantage and the Lambo Aventador. I don't care about the Nissan Leaf nor the Mini Cooper S Countryman (which apparently has an AWD system even though it's not an ALL4 AWD variant of the car). The '66 Beetle isn't something I'm going to race with but looks great. Wheel options are BBS RS and a slew of JDM/Asian market specific wheels (blah) and the aero mods are removing bumpers, Tbar style bumpers, a Porsche RS style rear scoop spoiler and a disgusting looking Fast N Furious style massive rear wing (blah).

Modding cars last night I think I came across something strange. I took the premium Evo and went to see which wheels I can put on and then I racemodded it and the wheel selection changed slightly. The wheel I wanted to put on the car is not available on one of the variants, and I bought 2 of these Evos to keep one 'stock' and one racemodified.

Photomode comparisons do not show of true graphics. I think this is what that guy is saying when he says Forza has cartoony graphics (mainly due to lighting system and colour saturation):

A year later.... 1 down and 799 to go.

The only reason the jag was upgraded was because it was modelled partly before the game's release. They have more than likely modelled more than one standard car (Kaz does not want to sell standard to premium cars as DLC)

Just cause they are doing what they should of had available at release, doesn't mean i have to bow down in awe.....
That is how the Jag should of looked anyway, from the start....its what i paid for originally.
For me the damage is done, and namely the community of diehards that denied there was anything actually wrong with the standard cars in the first place.

Max are you serious?

Its a bad video capture with bad TV set up......i could make Toy Story look rubbish by altering my TV settings buddy......

No one takes anything you post seriously. If i had no life i'd do what you do here on GTplanet, but really i dont have the time........ and i'd be banned of hounded out of GTplanet if i even tried......im amazed your still around...

The sad part is you actually have to pay again to get the car to look the way it should have originally.

Anyone here driven Monsterrat Camino Extreme with the alternate time? While I'm not a fan of the track itself. Don't hate it, don't love it. The graphics are AMAZING! Drive it as you would a real car and just look around. Amazing, even the replays are amazing.

I'm not into just driving a car around for no purpose but last night I just wanted to test a few old cars. The Aston Martin DB1 and others and as was just cruising around I took the time to look at the scenery and it was great. Wound up doing 5 laps on it just looking around and thats a pretty big track.

Really....tell me where it said that there was going to be a premium jag xjr9 in the release of Gt5. You paid for 🤬

Alos you triple posted.

And no its not a bad tv set up with bad video capture.... click the HD button lol.

The sad part is you actually have to pay again to get the car to look the way it should have originally.

The truly sad part is that you did not even pay for it.

Max are you serious?

Yes. Why? Are you mad that Forza actually looks incredibly unrealistic. The fact you are relying on personal attacks kind of tells me that you have no informative response to the post implying to me that you can not rebute to it with any hint of logical sense at all.

Two things just now hit me about GT5 audio. Could never put my finger on it till just now.

Alot of the sound tracks (the one in the above video clip) sound like cheap music used in 80's and 70's porno flicks

Alot of the engines sound as if they were recorded in the bottom of oil drum.

This combination just rings of cheapness.

(Kaz does not want to sell standard to premium cars as DLC)

Well someone does, because unless I'm mistaken that jag is included in a pack that costs real money. So really, unless what you say is untrue.. it really doesn't seem to matter what Kaz wants.

Not really sure why you would even say that. One thing I do know is, this "Kaz, The Angel" stuff is starting grate me.

You keep talking about unrealistic, but play a game that 80% of its cars are a giant pixel.. how realistic is that?

Oh wait nevermind, i went outside and looked at my 240sx fastback and it has jaggies all over.. i retract my statement.

If it was modelled partly before the game's release, then why did it only come to GT5 14 months after the game was released??
If Kaz didn't want to charge standard to premium cars as DLC, well then why does this Jag even exist as it's part of what you pay for the latest car pack.

The sad part is you actually have to pay again to get the car to look the way it should have originally.

Yep, and why I think this Jag should have been a free gift to everyone. Charge for the new cars but don't charge for the same model just done in premium form. Then again, PD did charge $2 for one time paint chips, racemods of existing cars, and race suits and helmets so it's not really surprising...

Once again you do a comparison using someone elses videos, I have some questions for you

1. why in the gt5 video is the car on interior view and forza is exterior
2. why use a car with a paint job which makes it look cartoony

Also notice the jaggie shadows all over the interior of the lambo and if you would have put it to extrerior view it would have highlighted GT5s shocking track detail and another thing I have noticed is you never reply to me, is it because I talk sense and you have no answer.

Well technically all the press videos, demos, images and info that PD was promoting GT5 were all premium cars on 'premium' tracks... up until they mentioned there was a standard vs premium car split. Then every interview they had they would be asked. They eventually showcased what the image quality of a standard and a premium car was, the Lambo Countach being one of the standard examples. They didn't mention that there were no cockpits, no wipers, no windshield splash effects. They kept promoting the game in premium top form. This is what we expected. And we got it... albeit 20% of the game :banghead:

And yes, I did pay for it. Last night, as part of the DLC car pack #3, $4 for 6 cars.

Also Forza doesn't look 'incredibly unrealistic'. Please stop trolling. Under certain conditions GT5 looks THE BEST of ANY racer, Forza included, but that's not saying the latest Forza release looks bad. Forza 4 looks phenomenal to me. The lighting and coloring in GT5 is still a bit better but there's always a footnote when discussing GT5's visual prowess... as in premium cars in premium modes ('premium' tracks/photo travel). Consistency is what GT5 lacks and why whenever someone mentions how great GT5 looks they need to see also how bad it looks. I'm no graphics whore, I still do time trials solo in GTR2 at low settings (older PC), but I think most GT5 standards do look good but I feel it's due to the great lighting and coloring it has. The bulk of standards have crap textures and low rez last gen models. I bought GT5 to play on my PS3, NOT GTHD (something I'd expect if it was just an HD remake of a game, like why I'm OK with God of War 1&2 collection as it's HD ports of last gen) nor am I playing on my PS2. And that is 100% pure grade A unadulterated logic right there.

Remember that it was Kaz that said 'expect perfection', which the standard cars and poorly ported over tracks goes completely against perfection
