You can blame the people who Jtagged their 360's for that unfortunatly, the same people who where hacking other peoples designs, the same people who where hacking their cars to exceed what a normal player could do and then selling them in the auction house. Or selling hacked tunes via the storefront. It all boils down to that load of rubbish.

So don't blame T10 for that, blame the people who couldn't help but rip the game apart piece by piece.
But one can wonder why that would be an issue on Xbox One since it's not hacked and any loophole can be quickly patched.

Just for a comparison, FM1 allowed users to back up their save games, as well as their drivatar data (Yes, Drivatars have been in Forza since the first game, and you could share your data with friends. They could even race against your drivatar when you was not with them). People exploited those save games for credits and cars, which resulted in T10 removing the ability to back up save games since. T10 always do this when people exploit something that they have given us, and it doesn't matter one little bit if the next game is in the series releases on a new console generation.

Eventually someone will hack the Xbox one and PS4, it is only a matter of time. And T10 removing those features is a preemptive strike. It makes it harder for people to share hacked cars, it means there is little point to share someone elses livery that has been unlocked by force. And it means the auction house can not be used as a means to share around hacked credits.

And lets face it, Fallout 4 will soon allow user created content to be loaded onto the consoles. That will provide one hell of a door for someone to try and unlock to gain further system access.

Last time a X86 based console released, people used a save game exploit through the original Splinter cell and mech warrior xbox games to install a Linux distro over top of the operating software on the original Xbox. Which allowed pretty much unrestricted access to the console.

The Xbox one and PS4 are both x86 based, so it will only be a matter of time once they have an access point.

It's not hacked... Yet. And while I don't see anything like what happened on the X360 happening again (what with the forced dependency on the Cloud), I'd be inclined to err on the side of caution too, were I in charge of deciding if to implement features like the Auction House and gifting or not. With all due respect to the many (far more talented than I) content creators that are calling quits over the lack of those features, I couldn't care less about the former, and can do without the latter (although the epic collaborations that were the norm in the past are sorely missed).

I'll post my thought about the Porsche EP when I'll be back on Gold and will be able to attach the usual selection of (ambitious, but rubbish) pictures. For now I'll limit myself to saying three things:

  • It should be a criminal offense to make a driving game and not include VIR;
  • Now that Forza has a proper physics engine I understand why 911s are so infamous;
  • Based on my IRL experiences (which I can finally match with the game, yay!) the 356 Speedster's spot on.

If anyone can make this livery, i will hail you as my new god (of custom) :3:3:3

There is no 935 in FM6 but here is my 1982 911 Turbo 3.3
(It is Shared On FM6)

sounds like some people want a painting game, instead of a racing game...

Without the painting community, this series would've been lucky to get past the second game.

Personally, I feel it's a big loss to see these top guys getting fed up with how the game is. My liveries are OK, passable, but the top painter's liveries are exceptional. I'd love to get involved with whatever community is left on the official site, but it's a mess.

The Virginia track is really good fun.

Have taken a few cars out on it (No Porsches yet)

Reminds me of a lot of British Tracks.

A bit of Cadwell Park and Croft in there, I was never aware of this tracks existence before the game but i bet it produces some great racing.

I've just taken my stock 930 Turbo out to the Nordschleife. So much more composed than I was expecting.

The wheels are quite similar to the Cup car wheels, too...

Those too were taken from the 964. Porsche's nameplate is also included in its RS 2 emblem, but I still need to check if that's the case in Forza. It was basically an Audi 80 spiced up and manufactured by Porsche.

It always made me laugh how T10 couldn't include Porsche on the badge and brake calipers, yet there's a massive Porsche sponsor board going across La Sarthe.

My Porsche Rothmans 944, this thing is super quick and fast!
LOVING THIS PORSCHE EXPANSION!

Your TAG logo is off. I recommend downloading mine and tracing it:

Where do I find your Decals or Vinyls? I typed your name in the creator search a few days ago and nothing came up. And Yeah I know most of my stuff is a little off. I'm not much of am artist, I just try to get close enough where it doesn't look bad, where I can get some credits, I have got a lot of free credits from Likes, Uses and Downloads though. Do have you have an instructional video for Decal or Vinyl making on your Youtube Channel? I can draw a little but the tools on Forza makes it super hard, I would like to learn to get better.

It was more a case of getting lost in the Microsoft bureaucracy. When EA refused to sub-license Porsche for the FM4 launch, the RS2 got censored. Then later on, when things changed and Porsche returned as DLC, the RS2 changes were long-forgotten.

Type PJT in the description, that will work.

As for making logos, you need to get familiar with a number of shapes and how they look when you resize or skew them.

How does everyone make logos? I've been staring at the plate on my notebook computer's screen and trying to copy it in FM6's paint editor. I'm beginning to think I should print the plate out with some tick marks along the edge to give me an idea of how everything is lined up.

There are a number of ways to go about it, Wildkat's method is rather good if you have a second screen.

My method is a little more analogue:

  • Find a hi-res image of the logo online.
  • Print onto a sheet of A3 paper.
  • Stick sheet to TV screen with masking tape (which leaves no marks).
  • Use printed logo as reference for the shapes under it, drawing everything in black and white.
  • Once the basic shapes are done, remove sheet, make logo full-screen and "do clean-up" (lining up shapes, getting curves/edges right etc.)
  • Final step is colouring, I use this and this for reference.

As you can see it's quite effective, but takes a lot of time:

Ah, that's exactly what I've done for more complicated logos. The SVX's nameplate for one, and in FM4, Mill Street's logo. I trust it more than tracing what might be an inaccurate reproduction found in-game.

Started blasting through the campaign and the old cars (356, 550, 718) are really enjoyable. The 718 is just a little riot as it corners like a flea and feels much faster than the figures suggest.

VIR in the 550 is a good laugh too.

Some videos up on the front page...

Yeah, the 718 feels far faster than 160hp. It takes some getting used to its balance, but it's an early favourite.

The 919 is easily my favourite in its class too. So composed!
