Forza 6 Gameplay Videos: Porsche, Porsche, Porsche!

Thanks to the livery editor, the 962c enjoys its proper sponsorship.

It’s been a busy week for Forza fans. There’s been a PC port announcement, Lamborghini news, and yet more Lamborghini news. The big draw for many, however, was the arrival of a certain Stuttgart manufacturer of largely rear-engined sports cars. We’ve got some exclusive gameplay videos below to share with you, highlighting three of the cars included in the pack.

The first race takes place on the new Virginia International Raceway, also a part of the Porsche Expansion. Wrestling a 1960 718 around the Grand West layout for two laps illustrates what a rollercoaster the track is. The Drivatar-powered competition doesn’t give much of a fight (on the second-hardest difficulty too), but that will hopefully change as more players drive the track.

Next up, the monster 962c, winner of the 1987 24 Hours of Le Mans. Appropriately, it’s driven at the de-chicaned version of La Sarthe, at night. The acceleration is brutal, while the steering is surprisingly quick even at high speeds. Yes, I stalled it off the line…

I did the same with Porsche’s new Le Mans winner, the 919 Hybrid. Whoops. The alien-looking modern prototype has incredible amounts of grip thanks to aerodynamics, and is almost anti-climactic to drive thanks to the extra power produced by the hybrid system. A lap of Road America has never felt so simple, but the cornering speeds alone make for a fun experience.

So EA is still holding onto Porsche licences, then? Bummer for us gamers who haven’t forked out for an Xbone as of yet…

I’d rather of had the MKI ’09 Turbo S version of the Cayenne from FM3 than the MKII ’12 Turbo from FM4

That night version of Le Mans seems the most realistic of any game today. Car seems to handle like crap though :)

Do you know how silly you sound with comments like that. No one’s telling you to stop playing what you enjoy but you are better off not saying anything then to come across like a 10 year old.

As someone who has never played a Forza game ever I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree. Not just because of the Porsche expansion but just generally Tama this is by far the best car roster of any current game.
