VIR is sweet unexpected news, but the 20 car count has me worried knowing Forza 4 had 30 and was missing key cars. I hope the body mods are handled the same way as in Forza 4.
I'll have my fingers crossed until final list is out.
My must haves...
-993 GT2
-996 GT3
-997.1 or 997.2 GT3
-997.1 GT3 RS
-997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 & 4.0
-997 GT2
-997 GT2 RS
-991 GT3
-991 GT3 RS
-Cayman GT4
-Carrera GT
-918 spyder
-930 Turbo
-1973 RS
That's because Forza 4 had 15 duplicates.

If it's in the pack, great. I'll have to wait til March or the next leak to find out. So far, in the history of Porsche in Forza, I haven't seen one.

"Porsche Anthology campaign experience". The "Anthology" feature alone, imagine with other manufacturers included with roster already? Endless supply of brilliance. I hope they do it!

Curiously though, only six layouts are listed on the official VIR site. I'm curious what the seventh will be...
On the inside Patriot course, there is a chicane on the left side of the course. I wonder if we'll get a version of Patriot with and without the chicane?

There better be a Cayenne! I can't have my SUV collection without a Porsche. Oh, and the more old models, the better. Huge wings, massive turbo lag, power/assist-nothing; you know what I'm talking about. Will be nice to see front engine, RWD Porsche cars as well. It's all about variety, and that's what makes Forza superior than other games.

I remember hearing rumors that Magnus Walker's Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS '73 from NFS 2015 might end up in Forza, but I forgot which source I got it from. Any sources, guys?

VIR may not be the obvious choice to support the inclusion of Porsche, but the track looks like a winding country road with its subtle elevation changes and overall narrowness. In other words, perfect for Porsches!
I very much enjoyed VIR in Ferrari/Supercar Challenge, so looking forward to it in FM6

The other 9 cars will all be race cars is my guess. It's Porsche and Forza MOTORSPORT after all.

And historically it's difficult enough to just pick 9 race cars. The 919 Hybrid and the Manthey Porsche 911 RSR from FIA WEC must be in game, anything else wouldn't make sense and be a huge letdown, and that leaves room for only 7 more.

It just shows how limited the selection of a brand like Porsche is with "only" 20 cars.

Ferrari has 35 Cars in FM6, even tho 2 of them are duplicates. It's only beaten by Ford with 41.

The selection is not limited. You have 7 generations of 911s, 4 generations of 356s, 912, 550, countless race cars, 959, Carrera GT, 918 Spyder, 3 generations of Boxster, 2 generations of Cayman, 2 generations of Cayenne, Panamera, Macan, 928, 968, 924, 944, 914. There's plenty to choose from.

And the 919 is confirmed.

I hope the 924 or 924 Carrera GT, 944, 959, 356 Speedster and 550 Spyder, 1975 911 Carrera, An older 911 like 1970 ST or Flatnose Slant nose, 935 race car or road car version, Porsche Road going GT1, or race going GT1. But whatever they are I'll be more than happy.

so im a little confused.. is the VIR track part of the $20 porsche DLC or is it an update added that is released along with the DLC. I forgot how they do tracks vs cars

In FM5 they released tracks for free, as well as paid car packs alongside them. We have no idea how they plan to do this this time, but I hope the track is free. It's like maps for multiplayer shooters, when only a part of the community has access to them it's very hard to play in a bigger group after a while.

I think he means that a 20 car pack would only contain a small selection of cars from a company that has so many models to choose from, as you have shown.

I'd rather have that and a base 993 Carrera with body options to fill in holes in between the two. Obviously no widebody, but RS, S etc would be possible. I love the basic Carrera in NFS.

I 100% agree, I've been asking for a base model Carrera, any generation, for a long time. Opens up the doors for other models with body-kits.

I like the idea of something like this, where I could just be given the body kit options and just used engine or drivetrain swaps to create the exact 911 I want.

The only problem with that is Turn 10. They just don't seem to always provide body kits for every model. I mean, they haven't even updated the body kit options of a lot of cars that were in the previous Forzas. I still can't put a normal Mustang GT bumper on my 2000 Cobra R. Which sucks, because this is really something I wish they would do.

Rumour was that they'd modelled a 928 during the production of the FM4 expansion, but if that was true, surely it would've been used for Horizon 2.
Yeah I would love to see it in a game to take for a spin. V8 Porsche would be awesome.

I wonder if they sometimes model a car before they've cleared the licensing? Or it might be that they modeled the 928 in anticipation of putting it in FH2, but with only 10 cars in the DLC, they dropped it. Or the rumor might have been wrong all along.
