That looks awesome. What remains to be seen though, is if fortune island will sync with seasons or not.

Now gimme hot wheels II for the second expansion , playground.

There’s no technical limitation.
The only limitation is a mandatory update to the map for all players. Such an update would be around 25GB.

This is one of the reasons why a map bug introduced to Forza Horizon 3 after Blizzard Mountain was released never got fixed.

Have they said if the expansion island will be connected to the main map, or partitioned off in a separate environment? It looks awesome, but I really hope they connect it with one of those bridges in the north or something.

I always find these kinds of world expansions are cooler when they actually enrich the existing landmass, versus just giving you another, smaller, separate sandbox to play in.
I think Fortune Island and the main game won't share at 100% the same engine, that's one of the many reasons. Like The Witcher 3 and Toussaint for those who have played this game.
Another one could be the map itself, the map is one big file and if they change it, we have to download the whole map again.

Why would you have to basically redownload the whole map? If they were to do minor changes to the world, they would just have a patch to add them and maybe update parts of the map where the changes were made.

Possible technical limitations on how the map is built within the game engine. Just because another game can add a new space to the map doesn't mean the ForzaTech Engine can do the same.

And while I'm here, is there anyone who actually likes the Ken Block/Hoonigan content?

Me. I'll admit I wasn't overly enthused about them when they first released, but driving them has changed my mind completely. Especially the new '91 Escort and '77 F-150 have proven to be truly competent vehicles for Forzathon Live events.

I find myself using the F-150 quite a lot during free roam/Forzathon live because it has some beastly perks. Some unique features I can name at the top of my head are the x7 skills multiplier, skill multiplier building up three times as fast and skill chains build up faster when a Skill Song is playing.

Ken Block's cars are fun for throwing around and as long as they come with useful perks, I'll happily use them. :)

Anyone have the perfect car to pass all the Drift Zones? I really hate these. All the other types of "zones" (Speed, Danger Signs, etc), I was able to get 3 stars.

I used the fomula drift Viper.

Just curious, what was the FH3 bug?

Something I've never noticed before, the same Drivatar used twice in one race.

For a guy who gets to play maybe at most 2 hours per day occasionally, I haven't even finished half of the game.

I've cleared Level 10 on multiple race types, but there's still drift zones and Horizon Stories to finish. Just got to Level 200 with also almost 200 cars, thanks to Wheelspins.

Gonna take me a while to enjoy and finish the game. Aiming to clear the exhibition races and do some Ranked adventures.

Any tips on how to sell a car on the AH for legendary money? Kinda irritated owning a rather rare car that you see constantly sell for multiple millions and you can't list it for more than 90k. :banghead:

As a method with a relatively low difficulty, you will share livery.
My recommendation is a car with little share of livery, or a car that many players get once like DLC cars.
The former has few rivals and the latter has that much demand.
If you share a high quality livery for these cars, you will approach the legendary.

These British Racing Green Horizon story things are doing my head in, do they bother to do any research?

Bowler Nemesis “turbocharged 5.0 litre Jaguar V8”

Escort RS1800 “the Escort would become synonymous with Group B”

:banghead:

I’m just sad they picked Rebecca to narrate ;)

After Blizzard Mountain was released cars on the mainland map would “float” above the surface at Festival Hubs by a few cm.
Ahhh I know that one. That wasn't actually related to Blizzard Mountain as it happened in the base game. I think it's more related to the upgradeable festival sites. I'm guessing they only used one collision model for the road which didn't quite match *all* of the upgrades.

From what I recall, if you drive to one of those sites when it either hasn't been built yet, or is at an early stage where it still has dirt roads, you'll contact the surface just fine. It's when they get replaced with the black rubber/metal looking floor that they seem to float.

The Bowler EXR does use the 5.0 Jaguar V8 out of the XKR, but it's supercharged not turbocharged.

Aha, so it does not matter if I already add a 'legendary' design or tune, my profile needs that credential itself. Wonderful.

Pretty stupid on their part if you ask me. I have this million dollar car and can only sell it for a pittance because I'm a nobody. Yeah that Ferrari is 10 million in the game but I can only get 3 million because I'm not "Legendary". And those who are tend to abuse it and ask 20 million for the same car. FFS. :banghead:

Such is life, I'll figure something out. Just a little tired of credit/skill point grinding and wanted to cash out on something I know is worth a lot.
