Getting clean times on the Hot Wheels Rivals leaderboards is harder than I thought it would be. I’ve just spent three hours on it and only have clean times in 9 out of 18 tracks. A full hour was spent just on the Canyon Drop race. The actual drop into the canyon was were I kept failing. It seemed my only options were either hit the canyon wall on the left (fail) or get bounced into the track wall on the right once I hit bottom (also fail). I tried several different vehicles until I found one that managed the landing, my B700 modern Bronco. And I’m still only halfway through.

Canyon drop is very annoying. Even worse when my rivals time didn't update on to the leaderboard so i had to redo it.

I'm not sure if these files have been already in the files of FH5 previously or if they were added in an update.
Aside of the already found SEAT Leon Cupra '03 and '10 badges textures, there are several files of the interior of the Leon '03 that I found on FH5's files.

The most relevant one being it's gauges (sea_gauges_001_diff), however there are many miscellaneous interior textures found too. AO wheel map of the Leon '03 is also there, curiously the already leaked Leon '10 has no interior files aside of it's badges and AO wheel map.

Someone that has checked the FH5 files before needs to confirm if these files were already in FH5 or if they were added in an update, because nobody has covered them yet, plus I don't recall in the past seeing interior textures of the '03 Leon in the files aside of seeing all the badges textures.

They’ve been there a long time, possibly since FH4.

update: I tested another couple of X class cars in HW and it seems that the “too high rank” only appears on my Sesto FE, perhaps it’s so upgraded it’s in another X class? Or maybe it does that to the first X class you drive?

Loving all the extra Chris and Degs commentary on Hospital btw.
I've been listening to Hospital, too. I love drum and bass anyway, and Chris and Degs (and London Elektricy in the earlier games) have been great fun to listen to. I only wish I could hear all the new commentary from every channel. Is there someone out there pulling the sound files from the radio stations?

The in-game steering wheel model does not match the logical position of my Logitech Momo steering wheel. This is incredibly disorienting. I would rather not use the first person view that hides the wheel because that also hides the mirrors and instrumentation on many cars.

Glitch Video:

When watching the video, take note of the Steering indicator in the upper right. It shows the logical position of my steering wheel axis. The steering input that is sent to the car is correct. Only the steering wheel animation is wrong.

I know there is a solution because I have seen many videos of people using steering wheels and they do not have this problem.

Example Video:

The instructions in the example video do not solve my problem.

How have others solved this?

I've recently tried out the new Extreme E Hummer available at the Autoshow for Custom A-Class Dirt Racing . Aside from being a big chunker, It's a pretty good car. Didn't risk Cross Country, it lacks power for it.

Can't wait to get the shiny new cars from the brand-new Hot Wheels DLC.

The in-game steering wheel model does not match the logical position of my Logitech Momo's axis. However, the in-game steering wheel model DOES match the logical position of my friend's controller thumbstick.

I want the in-game steering wheel model to match the logical position of my wheel. I know that it cannot match the physical position. My wheel only has 270 degrees of throw. 270 degrees is not too far from the in-game steering wheel's limit of 180 degrees so I don't anticipate this to be disorienting.

Is there some way to "trick" the game into thinking that my steering wheel is a thumbstick? I think a third party re-mapper may work.
I am not letting this one go unnoticed, sorry. It's too egregious.

I've got to admit to feeling a degree of FOMO regarding Amy's, Scotty's, Angélica's, MistaJam's and Dolores's reactions to the racetrack covered islands that've suddenly appeared in the skies above Mexico and wish the developers saw fit to have all the DJs comment on events instead of whichever jungulist station the player's keeping it locked to at the time. I can't find any YouTube videos out there of the cues I missed so unless someone pulls an Admeister on the PC version... 😢

Well the Hot Wheels DLC is a lot of fun, but I feel like progression is a bit quick and easy. I've only put in a few hours and I'm already in the middle of S1 class. The top of the map with the massive trees is incredibly beautiful especially at night with the starry sky and all the lights. Overall so far I'd say it's better than FH3's expansion.

Racing on the Hot Wheels tracks is a lot of fun! Hot Wheels was a big aspect of my childhood.

Fun Fact: The Baja Bone Shaker is the only Hot Wheels car from the roster that does not have a real-life version, so an in-game realistic version was created.

I think I'm stating to understand why it took something like nine months for this DLC to drop. This is much more complex than the HW expansion in FH3. It's not terribly buggy, either. Everything works. I did have the game crash on me twice, but it was after eight straight hours of gameplay. I'm looking forward to trying out all the new cars, seeing what they're capable of. As for the duplicate cars, I gifted them all to new users. Yes, I could have sold them, but I'm already over 100M credits. I don't need the cash.

I wouldn't expect an answer within a few hours on something so specific here - have you tried the official Forza forums? The chance of someone both using a wheel and it being a classic Momo is pretty low, so better to post where there's a chance of a developer response too.

The Deora II in the game is pretty much fictional too, rather than a reproduction of the full-scale car - the real thing has a 90s Cadillac drivetrain in the back, while the one in the game seems to have the drivetrain of a 2020 Mustang GT500 to get it into class A.

Well, i also own a logitech momo (black one with red buttons) and yeah the animation is like that. Didn't found any solution so far

I reposted because others posted in this thread after me, clearly ignoring my question.

The official Forza forums are inaccessible at the moment. Me and everyone I know who has tried is getting a HTTP ERROR 500.

I think you should post about your wheel problem a few more times in this thread as somebody might have missed it the first three times.

I'm just talking about the model, not the drivetrain. The 2003 Deora II is made in real life, while the Baja Bone Shaker isn't.

Its rather unfair to say people are ignoring your posts. I for one saw both of your posts and read them but I have no input or solution to your problem so I didn't comment. Considering what you are asking is very niche and involves quite an aged peripheral that probably isn't still in widespread use I imagine its the same for most others too.

Is it just me or does the Deora II look like the motor vehicle equivalent of a rather large suppository in shape?

I quite like the vehicle just commenting on the shape of it.

Edit: Finally got Sky High daily forzathon at dinner. Thanks for the advice team, I just kept hitting the ramp at the old airstrip and it finally popped.

I will say online is hectic on the HW tracks, and not in a good way. Out of the three separate Horizon Tour events I've done, I have had at least two people in each just ram you into the bends rather than use their brakes. Not that normal online is too much better, but here the rammers seem to wallride as their main tactic. They'll be damned if they're gonna let you get in the way by... using a proper line and driving smoothly.

I'll chalk it up a little bit to the expansion/courses being new and maybe just being unlucky, but boy was it rough.

The Steam Achievement "Pro's, No Cons" is bugged. It's requirement is just to complete the Pro Qualifier which is the Deora A Class one. I noticed it didn't pop for me so I replayed it but it still didn't appear. After a quick search it looks like its widespread.

Car Collection rewards have all reset for me. I still have my 611 cars out of 637 total, but I can redeem every single reward I was eligible for... Again. Also, for some reason, my Horizon Open level jumped by 200 without explanation. I was in the high 170s before, I am now exactly Level 370.

This is happening to a lot of us. A lot of users on here started reporting this bug right after HW DLC released. It happened to me tonight as well when I logged on. All manufacturers rewards reset and I went up a couple of hundred levels in Open also.
