That's a VERY simple one to answer. It's there to account for state sales taxes, which varies by location. Looks like you don't have one. My invoice would likely show another $6.00.

Oh, and the Premium Edition is not a scam. I read all the fine print. I know what to expect and made my purchase accordingly.

You don't think the value is there for what they're charging, which is perfectly reasonable. It's called "shopping" and we all do it to some extent everyday. However, just because you don't see the value doesn't make it a scam. A scam would be explicitly telling you you'll get 42 cars, plus 2 expansions, and then stop the cars after 12 cars and 1 expansion, and go silent - never to be heard from again. THAT would be a scam.

Giving me what I paid for? Not a scam.

I'm also not worried about it. And yes mine also didn't show up. After the last update I doubt we will have any more updates before 5th. The game is ready.

Fair enough and that's what I figured, but since previous games had downloads for all of the content, it would be nice to have some official confirmation.

The one on the Puma and the car in the back: yes. They have been standard Forza rally kit upgrades on a bunch of cars. The white car is the new to FH5 1967 Ford Racing Escort Mk1, I’m pretty sure that one’s rally kit is unique to the car itself.

Anyone else worried that a newly opened festival site (like Apex etc.) will probably spoil the otherwise pristine location?
For instance, imagine the old abandoned airport in the jungle turning into a festival site. Just an example, I guess the airport won't be touched.

Well the Puma was new to FH4 and introduced quite late in the game’s lifespan. But those 4 extra rally headlights go a long way back, I think they were introduced in FH1‘s rally expansion.

Personally I find these Forza rally kits on cars quite the abomination. On the outside it wants to mimic a rally car but most of the time it’s missing like a bunch of other exterior modifications compared to the real rally car. But on the inside (and this bothers me the most) it’s still the road going version dashboard, seats and everything else. To the same degree I get bothered with 80% of the cars which are in the classic/retro/modern/monster rally car divisions just being road going cars (usually the road going homologation car for the rally car). I do like the real life racing cars scanned and brought into FH5 a lot though, especially if they also come with a proper livery. Cars like the #5 Escort R/S1800 MkII or the #2 Audi Sport Quattro S1 are proper rally cars with the proper rally interiors. Sadly the latter car isn’t in the launch list for FH5, fingers crossed it will be reintroduced at some point since that car would be a blast to rally with in the Mexican deserts and jungle.

I think it would be a welcome change to spice up the map a bit. From all the preview build coverage I’ve seen, the game often feels quite barren and deserted when you’re not in the main city or one of the smaller villages. And even with the extra festival locations added, there will still be tons of places without any house or crowd nearby so we introverts still can have our time alone. 😅

Interior customization is #1 on my wishlist for Forza games once they're past the need to cross over with the previous-gen console. I just don't know how much of a widespread demand there is for the ability to yoink the interior panels out of a '73 Capri for that extra ETCC verisimilitude.

From all the preview build coverage I’ve seen, the game often feels quite barren and deserted when you’re not in the main city or one of the smaller villages. And even with the extra festival locations added, there will still be tons of places without any house or crowd nearby so we introverts still can have our time alone. 😅

Most likely the top of the volcano when there is lava in one of the seasons. You can see it in the intro gameplay when they put you on the top of the volcano with the Ford. Some people drove to the lava to see whats gonna happen but got respawned instantly when they got too close.

Well PG has posted a screenshot of each of the locations you can open. Here they are, I honestly think they look quite good.

Horizon Rush (PR Stunts, located in the canyon)

Horizon Apex (road racing, located on the east coastl)

Horizon Street Scene (street racing, located in the farmlands near the arena)

Horizon Baja (cross country, located in the sand desert)

Horizon Wilds (dirt racing, located in the jungle)

And then there is the Horizon Mexico main festival site as well of course, located in the living desert.

I honestly like this system, it feels a bit copied from The Crew 2 (who cares, really) but it looks much better than in FH3 (which also had multiple festival sites but no theme for each of them, they were all like the main festival site).

All this talk of FH5 being a scam is ridiculous. @ykiki ’s example is exactly right.

If you find what is being offered not worth the price being asked, that is completely valid. It is completely reasonable to not purchase it if you don’t believe it is offering enough value for the admittedly high purchase price. But don’t call it a scam. There is no deception involved when they tell you exactly what you’re getting for your money.

Back to fun stuff, enjoy this lovely Bugatti Type 37, essentially a Type 35 but with a smaller 1.5 liter inline-4 for privateers to race in the smaller voiturette classes.

I'm pretty sure it is in reference to like small islands or being able to drive on a frozen lake in one season but not in another.
