I'd miss the Hillman Imp which I think was a Chrysler model.
It was listed under Hillman in FH4 but, yes, the Rootes Group eventually became Chrysler UK (which was later sold to Peugeot so now, some 40 years later, all the old Rootes Group marques – Hillman, Humber, Sunbeam, etc. – are now back under the same licensing/IP umbrella as Chrysler).

I know this isn't the finalized car list just yet, as other brands such as BMW, Bugatti and Mazda are missing, but if my Bugatti Divo isn't there, it's time to stage a riot.

Chrysler is certainly not the sportiest brand in the Stellantis group.
However, both the 300C and Australian Charger were my favorite models, so hopefully this brand will be in the game, either on the launch car list or even the playlist.
Wasn't Charger in previous gameplay?
Unless I’m mistaken, there were no Chryslers in 1 or 2. We got the 2012 300 SRT8 and Australian Valiant Charger in 3. We lost the 300 but kept the Valiant in 4. Surprisingly we’ve never had the Crossfire, one of the more obviously sporty Chryslers in recent memory.

My guess would be with BMW is that it's getting some new cars and they're getting they're own car list reveal via Twitter, with Mini being announced alongside, as was the case with Jaguar and Land Rover.

We had the Crossfire in FM2, but it hasn't been seen since.

The Crossfire SRT6 was last in FM4, as were the PT Cruiser GT and 1st Gen 300C SRT8. The ME Four-Twelve was last seen in FM2.

I'd love to see all those models back to be honest with you. Maybe that's why they're waiting on Chrysler as well?
Well, I stand corrected.

Well, the PT Cruiser was made in Mexico, so...

I think one of the main allures of FM4 was just the variety of everyday cars in the game. Supercars are cool but man.... some of them just don't have the personality of a regular car.

On a side note; I just bought a Xbox 360 and have a copy of FM4 limited collectors edition on it's way right now.

Well, yes, that’s true. But we’ve never had them in Horizon was the point I was making.

We can always hope.

It's what I miss most about the series, and sadly, it will likely never get to that level again.

I hope Playground have been listening to that specific piece of feedback. It's definitely a common sentiment shared on both Forza subreddits, YT comments, twitter etc. Definitely worth adding a few cars of that ilk for the more hardcore players that play for 500 hours not 15.

I was hoping we'd see more of that with cars like the Lincoln MK7/8, Chevy Cobalt, 70 GMC Jimmy on the leaked list. Hopefully they come to the game at some point.

It's my fervent wish that some enterprising creators'll be able to use EventLab to cook up a series of entry level Sunday Cup-style tournaments with a carefully curated selection of daily drivers with suitably low PI to race against. If they built it, I'm sure somebody would come.

Passing on the feedback! While I can't tip the scales or offer insight into the FH5 car roster beyond what was announced earlier this week, I would point out that the game rosters have been growing. Horizon 4 has more factory spec cars than any Forza game before it (by my tally, 578 vs 526 in FM7 and 518 in FM4), and is pretty close to Motorsport 4 in terms of cars with >9lbs per hp (341 in FH4 vs 353 in FM4).

FH4 does have twice as many very high performance cars as FM4, but that difference comes from eight years of cars released since FM4's last DLC.

I'm on it. Since the amount of props in EventLab has dramatically increased (and includes the race props that the devs uses to make the official Horizon circuits), I'll be trying to recreate Tsukuba.

Thanks Max. Appreciate the reply.

i was thinking... with the new convertible option for cars now implemented into fh5 free roam i hope to some extent that cars with a detachable roof (like the 1977 trans am) would work only in player houses and festival sites instead of having the roof disappear like in test drive unlimited 2 u guys think that it would be better that way? adds a bit of realism to the game.

I think this series has always been about convenience rather than realism.

I know. Just a thought though
I really doubt they'd want to make things harder for players.

I was wondering when the 4K version of Tuesday's footage would be released to YouTubers. Here we are.

Ur prob right on that one just hope that we can do that option in Forza Vista mode as well then just drive off before it resets like it did in the past. (I hope we can keep the window lowered on the willy's jeep)

Well, I wasn't sure which thread to put this in, but I have completed the list of cars that have appeared in the game and cars that have not appeared in the game from the Forza Motorsport 3 era "Forzalopnik" DLC tournament.

Perhaps GTP users don't need any more explanation, but the tournament was a collaboration between Jalopnik and Turn 10, where users voted from over 100 candidates to determine which cars would be included in the Jalopnik car pack for FM3.
And Turn 10/Playground Games has since continued to add more cars to the game from among the losers who participated in this tournament.
That hasn't changed in the 10 years since, and FH5 has already seen the addition of the Jaguar XJR-15 from this list.
In other words, it's safe to say that the cars on this list are models that are particularly likely to be added to future Forza releases.

Note before opening the list.
  1. Both lists are long.
  2. Forzalopnik and the models that were actually added to the game have different years and trim levels in many cases. For this list, I used the Forzalopnik notation.
  3. All models that have appeared in Forza in the past, even if they are not in the current Forza, such as De Tomaso Pantera and DeLorean DMC-12, have been added to the "already appeared" list.

Most driven cars in FH4 by time (not mileage)

A lot of drift/jdm cars and an Abarth. Quite interesting to see

I'd bet a lot of money that the A90 Supra will be there on FH5's equivalent list.

EDIT:

First look at Horizon Rush festival site

I know exactly where that Festival Site is, it’s just before the grand finale of the 1st Showcase event. ;)

It would be a nice place for a danger sign just past those trees wouldn’t you agree? :sly:

And just because I was bored, I looked up the stats of the Ford F450 DRW Platinum and it’s turbo diesel V8.

6.7 litres, 475hp and 1,050ft-lbs of torque hooked up to a 10 speed automatic.

I’m sure with some choice upgrades like a new turbo should help make at least 1500ft-lbs of torque. 😎

FH4 delivered 152 cars from the festival playlist alone (not including free cars, expansions or car pass cars)

  • 47.3% of these were New to Forza
  • 52.6% of these were returning from old games.

Of these returning cars, 21.25% of them were from the Xbox 360 era. The rest were from XB1 Era Forza games.

One trend I noticed is PG ported a lot of XB1 era content early on in the games life (28 cars by Series 10) whilst the car pass delivered the New to Forza content for the most part. But as the car pass ended, more and more New to Forza content was added in the playlist and less content was ported from older games. (Took us another 20 series to add another 28 XB1 era ports)

If we get similar support for FH5, we'll be in good stead for sure. We got some banger Series in FH4 with heaps of New-to-Forza content.

I also hope PG looks to bring back content from not just XB1, but X360 era games as they did in FH4. Still plenty of great cars lost to that era.
