I got access to the SVJ yesterday. It was okay, Not worth all the Hype in my opinion though. I spent more time driving the 575 Maranello and the Huracan Evo from the car pass.

I understand not being fast enough to match the Unbeatable AI (primarily since they cheat like hell), but I don't understand how so many random players are even able to play this game, based on their driving ability in The Trial. I just had a race where half of my team were in the RWB Porsche, meaning they had to race/play long enough to earn the GT2, then drive and get enough skill points to unlock the RWB, and still couldn't take a corner to save their lives.

Also, why the 🤬ing hell the is Trial prize this week a car that you literally get within the first ~30 minutes of gameplay? The Group A Cossie, while not at all hard to get, would be a much more understandable choice. Hell, considering there's some small evidence of the RX43 Fiesta being in the game, that would've been a totally more worthwhile and interesting choice.

Unfortunately the GT2 isn't eligible for this weeks Trial. It's all Hoonigan-brand S1 cars.

Thankfully, I ended up with a decent team and we won after 5 attempts. I ended up using the Gym 10 Focus RX with a 7-Speed Transmission Swap and some light tuning. I wasn't the fastest by any means, but I could still make some gains on the AI at the start, especially with them wrecking each other, and the Focus was able to stay very composed.

@RazorSharkz is that so? I saw a lot more Cossies and Rocket Bunny Escorts than anything else myself.

I didn't find this weeks Trail as bad as some. I did have to hold up the AI for my team in the first foggy race where they seemed to struggle. The second race they seemed to just follow me through to the front without much issue.

I used the Gymkhana 10 Focus RS RX with this tune: 119403231

If you don't have that another popular tune people are using is for the Hoonigan Escort RS 1800: 126484608

Aaaand the Forzathon shop has been cycled again, likely for another 24 hours to celebrate New Years Eve/Day.

Thanks for the 'heads up' - I was able to get some cheap cars and gift a few to my daughter as well, just in case she happens to play dad's game in-between a few rounds of Destiny 2 😄

I too am going to have to wait for the Aventador SVJ and the Maserati, although I decided to do my first Horizon Arcade (a drift event that was easier than I thought it'd be) earlier, as I didn't think I'd get enough points for the Peel Trident via Forzathon Dailys and might continue doing them going forward from now on.

Since the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ's currently getting sniped off the Auction House within milliseconds, I'm going to have to wait until the car becomes available on either the ForzaThon Shop or as a Seasonal Championship prize in the Festival Playlist.

FH5 was very generous with me shortly before the New Year. It gave three Formula Dorifto cars in a span of 12 hours, completing my FD car collection.

The Ferrari was given at 10:57.



The Holden was given at 12:33.



The last one was a Ford, which was given at 22:52



Thank you game for saving me some money.

EDIT:

And shortly before doing my last Horizon Arcade of the year, after grinding for skill points, the game decides to award me a Wheelspin-exclusive car at 23:43.

Clinched the SVJ. Would've come close if I didn't choose to get the trial, but went for and thankfully found a team that carried hard.

Racing in the fog with this AI having cars they clearly don't seem able to fully control was a sick joke from the devs.

You can find the Peel in your Gifts tab in the game Message Center. Note that unlike the Santa Suit, you'll need to select Download before it gets added to your garage.

I was lucky enough to complete the Trial on my first attempt, ran the RWB Porsche which handles like a dream and had a team which were really good - we took the first six positions in the first race, and scraped through 1250 Vs 1200 in the second race.

You can't go wrong with the Vocho. Always go with the Vocho.
