I think if they added little perks for reaching each prestige level it would be pretty cool. Hmm, maybe in FH6. One can dream.

Finally got around to putting a ticket in for the '20 GT500s incorrect taillights. They DID correct them in FM23, so it would be nice if they fixed in in Horizon 5 too.

Call me a snob, but I did this after I got annoyed to the point of submitting one after using it in this week's Championship event that uses the Shelbys. Ugh.

Now that I think about it, the Mk. III Supra's taillights are back to being incorrect after they fixed them in FH3 due to uproar. I'm not sure why these things happen sometimes.

I wanted to attach this from your spoiler... yeah this is definitely true. Games ARE designed to be done in their spare time. Not as a form of "forced labor". ETS 2 does not do this stuff. Compare this and tell me if these pics are depressing:

Which they aren't. Both pics are from Euro Truck 2 and I spend the majority of my time out of them. Same with ATS. And I'm more excited for the 1.49 update since they will upgrade their skybox.

SCS knows how to make a quality product, and only because they are independent. Not low-paid contractors as they used to be years ago. I'd recommend these games as they are relaxing and reasonably polished. You can find it on Steam.

Kansas comes out in a few days too, and if there's one group of people who can make Kansas exciting, it's SCS.

Simple reason why it isn't included anymore is because of someone not wanting their licensed products in racing games anymore. I think the brand authorities have the final say in what dictates their approval in racing games.

There has not been a single licensed Rolls product in any mainstream game since 2017.

I understand that the quality of models required for mobile and console games is different, but while the Jimmy in Forza Horizon 5 looks far from stock, the Jimmy in Forza Customs looks more like stock. This is a funny and ironic fact.

I had something like that in FM23 last week: Loading in somewhere like Hakone but the intro audio explanation was for Road America.

Baked bean "gases" supplying speed to the Lucid either through a canister or through your bum sticking through the rear window? To be fair, if there was a way to introduce "nitrous" to an EV a'la The Crew IRL that would be it :lol:

The driver shall be kneeling on the rear seats whilst leaning forward to steer with their buttocks poking out of the rear window. Propulsion shall be provided by the expulsion of noxious gas from the driver.

Users of this method are strongly advised to avoid any traffic congestion as the traffic fumes could be unpleasant.
 
This week's Trial was a blast. I was in my trusty Mustang GT A800 build with rally tyres and not only won both races, but won the second race 15 seconds ahead of 2nd place.

Heck, the first race was even a whitewash with humans finishing 1st-6th. I guess the AI doesn't have very good builds for off road with modern muscle cars?

I must admit I'm having a blast driving the Lucid Air around, after a bit of tune it's plain ridiculous, not only the ludicrous acceleration but also the 442 km/h top speed, and most of all...+300 km/h in reverse. In a impromptu drag race it's just too funny.

I like it because it's a very unique car. In Horizon, almost every car can brake and turn at the same time, but trying that in the Lucid Air is a BAD plan. You really have to brake before turning to avoid the sheer weight and speed of the thing from causing you to fly off the road.

As a result, you get a different experience. So even though it's comfortably faster than a Taycan around Horizon Circuit Mexico, you feel much less in control of the car and need much more work to drag it round the track smoothly.


Of course, removing the weight and improving grip makes it much faster, but I like to compare all these EVs in their stock configuration.

As a Hyundai fan for 20 years, Korean car updates are one of the updates I want to see the most.
Hyundai's N Line is one of the most underrated performance trims in racing games today, and the N Vision 74 Concept is one of the coolest concept cars around.
And Genesis' simple, clean design is great.
Oh yeah. Let's not forget my favorite, the Kia Stinger. It's a joke that such a hot saloon isn't on the FH5 launch list.

But what I want to see most is the return cars.
Equipped with TRA Kyoto's Remake widebody, the Genesis Coupe is a good rival to the 86/BRZ both visually and in terms of performance.
And the reason why I became a Hyundai fan...Please give me back my beloved Tiburon. please. Oh, and of course don't forget the many body kit options.

Been really missing the Tiburon/Tuscani from the Xbox 360 days, and I absolutely loved how it had its own unique badge, as if it were a car from another brand. Also fell in love with it because of NFS Underground.

Other than the Hyundai N Vision 74, I seriously hope they bring the iMax N (a.k.a. the "drift bus"). It will seriously fit the theme of the game. And that's why a Korean Automotive update needs to happen.

If it's any consolation bud I only did it on the third attempt for similar reasons.

Technically Hyundai appears on Top Drives (but not Kia somehow), being a cards game it doesn't count that much, but since they are all officially licensed, and there are 103 models included, it kinda does too. Same deal with Skoda, they just added 86 cars, and I think it's the first time I see road-going Skodas in a game since World Racing 2...and back then there was just 3 of them.

In the end, it shows it's not really licensing, at least always (Ferrari doesn't appear on that game, being a notoriously had license/brand to deal with) but about choice and priorities of the game devs, of course in an 'actual game' the cars still need to be modelled and put through a lot of work, but if they want to, they can, that's for sure, nothing else is holding back, at least legal-wise.
