also Tom Warren makes reference that horizon 6 may be in event

Weird that he chose "looks like". What in that image/video looks like any kind of reference to Forza Horizon?

The trophy shop has the symbol for Kyoto on it, FYI. Don't recognise the other one.

It just says "Tokyo". the kyo (京) kanji is the same as in Kyoto.

For me the biggest question for a Japan map is how they will handle traffic and pedestrians. Horizon has always had very little to none, and unless the game is set exclusively at night, their absence will be noticeable. At least more so than previous maps since to make a "Japan" map you'd need the biggest city to date for a Horizon map.

Now we wait for the other journalists to do the wink wink nudge nudge like they did for fh5
jez corben has not done the wink wink thing this time, he went beyond, his windows central team straight told that it is FH6 lol

Xbox on TGA arts always feature a different theme/style each year, this year theme (idk if is related to FH6 or not) is japanese streets
its the use of "getting ready for a race" followed by wink emoji that may be indicattion that he meanss FH6

Ah, so I guess that's overtly the TGS then. I was half-thinking it could be the hint 'cos FH avoids national capitals (we'll side-step Scottish nationalism by pointing out that the capital of the combined territory of FH4 would be London), but I guess not.

Yeah, I get the whole artwork idea, but nothing on it screams "I'M HINTING AT FH6!". TW's comment is the only suggestion, and given the absence of any FH6/FH/Forza imagery in the video I don't see how he's getting "looks like" from the thing we're looking at.

If he's not referring to the video it's a weird thing to say "looks like"; he could just say "seems like", or "rumour has it" or anything else that's the usual nudge-nudge, wink-wink.

Aaaaaaanyway, let's lighten the mood:

I expect it to be like any other FH game: Sparse road traffic and crowds only at the site festivals. They could make the sites bigger with a matsuri feeling, I hope.

Here's one for you all. Throughout it's history the DLC for FH has usually implemented something that has gone on to be used in future titles, eg Blizzard Mountain for snow in FH4 and accolades in Lego World for FH5.

What are the guesses for what's coming in FH6 from the DLC we've had this time around.
The entire map will be hotwheels... ;)

Tokyo won't be in FH6 - this is my guess based on FH5, FH4, FH3, FH2 and FH1 not including capital cities. I don't understand why so many are assuming Japan=Tokyo?

I didn't say it would be in Tokyo. But I'd be surprised if there wasn't a urban setting on the map (if it is Japan). Much of Japanese car culture is centered around city settings: the elevated highway, Daikoku, Midnight club... People are definitely expecting something of the sort, even if it's not a recreation of Tokyo, and it's another city or even a fictional one.. But it'd be weird if the whole map was touge roads, there wouldn't be much point in setting the game in Japan in that case.

Also technically FH4 includes a capital. :D

tokyo bay/kanto is too big, i can see why they can skip central tokyo but i can see they goingg to yokohama, rainbow bridge, hakone (fujimi kaido is on hakone), saitama and other areas on the metropolitan area

the elevated highway, Daikoku, Midnight club

Those are all in yokohama and in places around yokohama by the way

Do you? Japan doesn’t automatically mean Tokyo just like Mexico didn’t mean Mexico City, Australia didn’t mean Sydney and England didn’t mean London.

They should ask and borrow the gigantic Japan map of AC Shadows.

Exactly where is that even implied in what I wrote? My only mention of Tokyo is concerning the kanji in a previous image.

If they're going to include Yokohama & Saitama, they'd have to represent Tokyo to some degree. You can't get from one to the other without traveling through Tokyo's interchange; I've done so.

Same with the Rainbow Bridge, it's part of Tokyo. And if they're going to be in Tokyo, part of the major city would warrant representation. That's a significant part of its global identity.

More realistically, we're either going to have a map mostly set on a flood plain or we're going to be in the Nagoya area, since that's where Rally Japan is. Not in Nagoya proper, but very close to the rally site.

FH4 wasn't England, it was the UK. There's a lot of Edinburgh natives that would be very upset at being labeled English.

Hot take, but, given how Motorsport is it would be cool if it was based around Hakone - Have Kaido as some Touge roads and then can have the track from Motorsport as the Horizon festival hub with a test track/race track, and build a map around it.

Total fiction and unlikely, but would be a handy way to do it.

My stats so far I been having a blast completing the events and just casually driving my Enzo and C8 Zo6 around the map.

I been playing FH5 alot more then gt7 lately.:)

If memory serves me you start with class restrictions but if you progress eventually your cars (S1 tier I believe) will qualify.

Fujimi Kaido is the best substitution for "open world" I've found in current gen racing games so far. Such a shame we don't have something like that track in GT7. Including it as a part of a world in new FH is a great idea.
