Forza Motorsport 4 Color Creation Database [Work in Progress]

@T12, I still found your hugger orange a bit peachy looking. I could be just me. I did some tweaking and found this to look pretty accurate. Not perfect but pretty close imo.

Probs get a better comparison by increasing the brightness of your forza pic, it looks quite dark compared to the original and a bit more 'bronzey' but it could be the lighting in the photomode scene cos that background is a bit glum

Here is a slight adjustment in the photo settings of saturation and brightness. I don't think the picture looks as realistic but it makes the color match the real thing spot on.

yeah deffo. u can tell a lot better that the color matches it more now. I hate that mountain scene for photos, such a nice day yet its all bloody shadows

All standing single digit values for any and every color I've done to date containing one, has now been fixed.

Rejoice. :P

Terronium, without you i would have never noticed that you can alter the special colors(or any colors for that matter.) Thanks a bunch haha.

Terronium, the ipanema brown configuration that you gave to us looks very Orange to me...not bronze-ish like the original one...

I've been looking around to try and get some car color pallettes as well and i found this for ford fiestas. Its from a parking sensor website to match their sensors to your car color. not looked properly but it may also offer up other cars as well

http://www.parkingsensors.co.uk/car_model_colour_matching_chart_ford.asp

i also found a list of a stash of car paint codes, just googl eimage search teh code and it generally brings up a few pictures of cars in that color

http://wiki.seloc.org/a/Paint_codes

or here

http://www.paintscratch.com/paint-colors.html
and if u know the make/model of teh car or teh color code u can put it in here and should get a color swatch of it

2009 Fosrd Fiesta Style (UK) Ocean Blue

Colour 1 (X Button)

0.85R
0.54M
0.52M

Colour 2 (Y Button)

0.58R
0.72R
0.61M

thats as close as i can get it, Alternativly use each colour seperatly under Mettalic and it gives a nice color too. I'm undeceided as to which is closer so i'll leave it to the 'proffessionals' to deceide :D i used two tone to give it more of a gimmer. also it doesnt look great in teh pictures but onscreen it does look a lot closer.

Of course.

Does the color have an official name, or is just blue?

...Mess around and I'll just call it "Calsonic Blue". :P

Anyone with the pre-order 1M care to share the code for the beautiful orange paint?

British Racing Green [Lotus]

...is there any particular reason to use a two-tone with two identical values? :P

Well, I've got one to add:

Montego Blue Mica [Mazda]

Color 1

Hue: 0.55M
Saturation: 0.68L
Brightness: 0.25L

Color 2

Hue: 0.51R
Saturation: 0.76L
Brightness: 0.50R

EDIT: Eh, why not add another!

Green Apple [Hyundai]

Color 1

Hue: 0.25R
Saturation: 0.60M
Brightness: 0.65L

Color 2

Hue: 0.20M
Saturation: 0.57R
Brightness: 0.58M

They weren't identical when I first did it, but I didn't like how dark it was so I mirrored the first onto the second and it gives a pretty authentic mica overtone... That looks somewhat weird in sunset scenarios.

It goes from Tonka Yellow to Dark Yellow/Bronze.

Sorry to ask again, but is there a code for BMW's Valencia Orange from the pre-order 1M?
