Why does Dan look so much like a combination of Jean Reno and Paul Giomatti?

I've been saying this for soooo long now, finally someone who seems to share that thought 👍

And there isn't one race in Forza 3 that's as long as a race IRL either that would pay a million dollars. Forza 3's races you can almost say pay proportionally to real life. I hope that FM4 has the crazy long races coupled with in-game saves AT RELEASE DATE.

I know the length of races isn't the same as real life. Forza is obviously going to be scaled down quite a bit. Almost none of Forzas races are of any real length that you would find irl. All I saying is that Forzas biggest races should have the same type of payout as the biggest races in real life and have the payouts be scaled accordingly.
One quick example is the endurance races in Forza 3 only payout about $100,000 (the highest single race payouts in the game) if I remember correctly. Those races should have a payout of about a million each especially the longer ones.

That's not true. Many racing series are limited to a certain amount of laps. BTCC, ETCC, DTM, V8 Supercars, etc. Nurburgring GP track for DTM had I believe 50 laps where as BTCC/ETCC generally does 15-25 lap races. V8 Supercars do just over 20 laps on Bathurst now due to some fuel regulations and they used to do more than 25-30.

Whats not true? What comment are you referring to?

The general comment that Forza's race lengths aren't as long as real life racing. It all depends on the race series. Some are timed, some are X amount of laps. I'm not really referring to the career but the options in like multiplayer where you can setup laps

Allot of Forzas (maybe 50%) races are like 3-10 laps. I think thats still shorter than real life. I think we were referring to career mode.

Career wise, definitely, and it is shorter than real life. Not sure if that was the argument. I read that Forza doesn't match real life but it does when you select certain races especially when you setup MP.

Yeah for sake of time and knowing people DO have lives you're not gonna find ridiculously long races in FM3's career mode. I believe if they come up with an in-game save feature they probably would change that.

Now multiplayer is another story. I already told you guys me and the group I race with once did a 2.4 hour race in FM3 on LeMans, get it? 2.4 Hour Race. get it? lol. It was fun, long, but fun. In actuality it really didn't seem as long as it seemed. http://wheelracers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4572#p4572

I hate when people say this.

The tyre physics properties for off-road tyres are much more complex than tarmac tyres. It's not just a case of reducing/increasing the slip angles, if it was the 'grip reduction' lobby option in FM3 would feel like realistic dirt, instead it just feels as if the tyres are bald. I found a good article on it but can't recall where it is. For a good dirt tyre simulation you have to account for tyres digging in through the loose top surface to gain grip, the traction at speed over the top surface. Those are only the starting two features of a dirt/tyre interaction.

Drive on any grass in FM3 and tell me that feels like real grass, that alone proves the off-road physics would need a re-work.

How about if read what i said before that? clearly rally or dirt track imply a change of physics, the rest not.

I did read it, the list you made implies dirt tracks doesn't not affect physics. Why put it in the list?

Anyone know if you get a confirmation on the pre-order receipt thing?

I received a confirmation message within Forza 3.

Yup. Same here. It took a couple days.

The pre-order incentive program is now in affect. This is the first perk of the program. A gift car for Forza 3.

Awesome, I'll have to log in and take a look. I'll be proud to wear that advertising to get a car like that.

I think its the unicorn car but if you dont want it you could probably sell it on the auction house for some big bucks.

Enlighten me but what is a unicorn car?

There are 3 cars that you can only get when they are placed in the auction house by T10 or by winning a T10 competition.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS
2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A
2006 Subaru Impreza S204

You can't sell unicorn cars on the auction house, only Turn10 can do this.

So I just pre-ordered my Limited Edition copy but exactly how do I confirm this with Turn10 of what ever it is I need to do?

Yes! I have an S204 and now I'll get a Spirit-R. I heart T10.

Dont see his images neither Well only one and even recommended he tried a different image hosting service, oh well...

I see one but I have a feeling it's more than one
