I think so far FM4 has shown elements of different "time of day races".
It has not yet been confirmed that "dynamic time transitions" are in the game.

More so that events can take place under different time of day/lighting conditions.

T10 have stated several times that FM4 will be the best looking game this year (a very bold claim).
They wouldnt say that without good reasoning would they? So it is very likely we have lots of very impressive things to see yet.

I'm not holding my breath with that claim in regards to certain elements of the graphics. I just don't think these consoles are powerful enough to bring the fidelity that I'm looking for in a picture (no scrolling lines, jaggies). If they could get rid of that, or have gotten rid of that then I'll claim ahead of time it will be the best looking game this year otherwise I'll take that with a grain of salt. But judging from the vids I've seen I have seen the scrolling lines so I already know what to expect.

Well to be fair they didn't say their game will have the best or better fidelity to others. On a technical level we could look at what FM2 achieved and see how they have moved forward with FM4 on the exact same platform.

I think even on a technical level they have made huge progress with improved detailing, draw distance, twice as many cars, Kinect head tracking (in game not like GT5 TT only) and still maintaining 60fps. Thats before we consider any actual improvements in lighting or special effects used like exhausts, improved smoke and animated wings. Cockpits also seem to be greatly improved as are tracks.

I certainly was critical over how limited of an improvement FM3 seemed over FM2 but FM4 really does seem to of moved the goalposts and no other racing game I am certainly aware of on the same platform seems to come close at least technically to what FM4 is achieving and with maintaining 60fps.

It is a game to get incredibly excited for, is it not?
What do others think?
 
I thought Forza 3 was already a big improvement over Forza 2. And by the look of it, Forza 4 will be a similarly big improvement over Forza 3. So yes, of course count me in the "excited" ranks !

Everything you're talking about is spot on. I do however, think FM3 was a big jump over FM2. It's just I have an issue with jaggies. It's just a visual eyesore beyond belief with me. Some of those things I'd gladly trade in for a jaggy free screen. Animated wings and improved smoke I'd gladly trade in, 16 players and improved lighting I'll gladly take the jags in the eyes till they bleed however lol

Hmm. If there's no wet weather, it seems very odd that they'd model more than just the sport mode on the LF-A.
 
Could be something they did for the AutoVista mode. On the other hand, might be a clue that T10 wanted us to find.

I guess, by now, they know fully well how carefully every piece off info and every picture they release gets analyzed to death. Twice.

I'm going to say its probably for AutoVista as well. (mainly so I dont get my hopes up.)
 
Nice find zr1chris. I'll be honest... It's nice to change it up with weather but generally I'm not a fan. Would rather race in the day and in the dry.
 
HadOne2Many you beat me to it. I was just about to post that pic. Im not sure weather will be something that changes drastically but it appears the temp will change with the time of day. Unless of course that 78 isnt a temperature and its more like 78% ideal weather. Afterall 78 degrees and snow that close by doesnt make much sense either. Also the 7 and the 8 don't seem to be lined up very well.:odd:

I didnt notice that. Good point. 3 different tracks all in one??? Something doesnt seem right about that.
 
The text in those fields are probably just filler items from the artist.
 
Yeah just makes you wonder if that's filler, what else is? Maybe it is the same for the guages and loading screens. Hard to say, still definitely interesting and I'm a glass half full kind of guy so I'm hoping for the best.

That'd be my guess. Probably safe to say the Aventador is confirmed at the very least. Could also just be the slashdot effect...we may have fried his server.
 
For me the reason to doubt weather such as rain in forza is due to the no windows in the interior.

They are most likely the images made for the game and will appear in the final game.
 
Man, those awesome new shaders are great. Look at those reflections!

Forza 4 will be an amazing step up in the evolution of Forza Motorsport as a franchise.
