The black RGT 8 also has the same mirror turn lights T10's RGT 8 has... Seems like the green RGT 8 that was used as refference here wasn't the same car T10 used.

I'm pretty sure the mirrors have remained untouched from the green press car to the black one; they look exactly the same.

Edit*
That black RGT8 is the car used to create the in-game model & that T10 just chose the lime green as the color display the car in b/c that was color RUF originally used to identify the RGT8 in.

RUF has got me totally confused. So they made 2 RGT-8's with 2 different bumpers???

The green RGT-8 is the 2011 press car. You could almost call it the concept at this point, now b/c of the 2012 model changes.

The black one above/below is the 2012 model b/c the nose piece being used is now the piece being put on nearly all their newest cars. As mentioned above, the CTR3 has apparently now adopted it along with a new rear end.

What's more is that the taillights on the black RGT-8 are also different.

I thought it was funny how he said they used Michelin for their tire model in FM3 but if you go into the tire buying section in FM3 it says Pirelli.

They used data from Mclaren for FM3 and that likely included data on Michelin tyres.

It'd be nice if they cut out all that waffling, because they're not going to sell the game to someone like me that way. I like the scalable difficulty mode, and the other customisation options for difficulty. That's great. More on that please, less waffling. 👍

I think Dan has really mellowed with his presentations and interviews now. He's not as hyped or making overstretched claims to promote the game like he has before.

I like the idea of the "Challenge Mode" and the bounty.
It is looking however that FM4 is going to offer lots of different ways to enjoy the game.
My own concern like it was in FM3 is why do they not implement more racing features, like practice sessions, qualifying. They could appeal more to motorsport fans simulating actual racing.

I think you're right; let's hope the vagueness isn't deliberate, in lieu of his former overstretching! "OMG he said they don't interpolate the tyre modeling anymore!" etc. can have a big impact in the right crowd.

It's a shame, because there is probably a very clever physics team in there somewhere, who have done all manner of clever (and, likely, occasionally silly) things, but we're left with a marketer's interpretation (in style) of it all. The same will be true of other "departments", too. I suppose I just love hearing about game development; trials and tribulations; cunning algorithms and dirty hacks etc. and I don't like salesmen in general.
(I hope I'm not alone on that, but I am pretty peculiar. :p)

I, too, think these broad-scoped racing games could benefit from "feature creep" as much in the direction of simulation as for casual stuff. Of course, racing sims aren't cool, so it won't have the same impact.

EDIT: Sixth Element? Nice. Are these re-bodied cars giving credence to the idea that the mechanical stuff is more complicated / time consuming?

The Sesto Elemento isn't exactly a rebodied car, though. Much like the Aventador, it uses a carbon fibre monocogue. Using a different chassis would make it more than just a rebodied car, I think ;)

Sorry, I meant the Spada and Bertone, among others.

For those, it's true of course - nothing we hadn't seen in FM3, though - I've got to admit, I'm not that big a fan of those cars. The "Batmobile" has a certain appeal to it, though

It looks like the "sport tires" still have that annoying little visual glitch on their sides :indiff:

I guess I'll have to live with it for two more years, lol

Alone, you are not.

What glitch is that?

I must be blind

I'll try to get a better picture. If you look closely, the side on the front tire, down, close to the ground, has some kind of ... I don't know how to explain it, it looks like someone has stitched a patch of some kind of super slick surface over the rubber.

Edit : In before anything, I know this is definitely some nasty nitpicking

It's just that it can get pretty noticeable when looking around the cars in FM3, especially in "screen saver mode".

No, that's not. I can't seem to get a decent picture online. I'll take a pic tonight and post if through FM.net

With all the great cars its making me hope for some great tracks.
Really curious about the "Autocross" and if we will be seeing long road sections for A-B rally type stages.

I think that Autocross will be something similar to the same mode in FM1

The original still has the best music, not even 3 holds a candle to it.

Black Sabbath and some other covers, they were cool, before FM got the vibe trends and went for the low Jazz style and NFS soundtrack lists.

True. But my custom music demolishes them all :)

So.

At first glance, I thought it was part of the sidewall markings.

Forza13.jpg

But when zooming.

Forza14.jpg

You can see it's most likely a glitch in the sidewall texture.

Forza15.jpg

Note that the glitch is "symmetrical".

Forza16.jpg

For reference, this is how the glitched marking looks like.

Forza18.jpg

And how I think it should look like.

Forza17.jpg

The same glitch be seen in Forza 4, if you look closely.

That's all folks !

I'm still blind to your glitch. I need my hand held here :(

It still looks like a part of the sidewall marking to me :odd:

If you are reffering to what I assume you're reffering to, that is.

?

You don't mean this is the..... the..... Agera R

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a more serious note, do you need to preorder or get the LCE in order to get access to the Agera R? Because this could be the one that knocks me over the edge.

I don't see the problem either.
