You have come close enough for me to be concened about and I am asking (in a polite but firm manner) that you make it clearer in future what you are posting as fact (and source it) and what is assumption, speculation or opinion.

It takes a few extra seconds to clarify posts and saves a lot of arguing.

Actually, I source the information as base point for my assumptions, whereas individual conception goes, the information not referenced there should be taken as assumption, I guess that I should be more clear about that in the future.

This.....

And some of it the removed content will be DLC, they are following a very EA-ish model, quite an irony I guess.

...is not presented as an assumption, so I would strongly suggest being clearer in the future.

No, you make your posts that are opinion as facts. You also make posts that are just factually wrong.

It seems that some tracks and content will be removed from FM apparently:

Source

-Amalfi
-New York

In the above you stated that Amalfi and New York are removed from FM4. New York was removed, Amalfi was not. That means you are providing FALSE facts, which is against the AUP. But the more alarming thing here is, that you provided a source, which has the CORRECT facts stated.

And some of it the removed content will be DLC, they are following a very EA-ish model, quite an irony I guess.

Here, you have claimed this as a fact, when in reality, you have not provided a source to back up your "claim". People have asked you for proof of this claim, to which you have not provided any. Not to mention, nobody on this forum has ever seen or heard of such claim.

So, make it happen.

Wait a minute, I would not trust these words. At the end, T10 will make the game playable for everyone so this will never reach real sim qualities...

Do we all remember how EA advertised NFS Shift 2? The best physics available in racing sim genre? Hell, even Grand Theft Auto IV has better driving physics! really! NFS shift has the worst physics in this gen.

So T10 can also talk a lot of stuff to get as many preorders as they can get. At the end, if they can´t hold their word, people get dissapointed... And forget all the dissapointment till the next FM5... because again they advertise the game like it is from the mars... Exactly like EA did with Shift 2 and PD did with GT5... Fortunately Kaz is a perfectionist and PD still works on GT5...

What I never had any expectations from FM4. The only expectation I have, is that they rebuilded the Tracks and implemented correct proportions of the Nordschleife and other too wide tracks.

T10 is obviously trying to get everyone into the game but adding features for the casuals doesn't mean the game overall becomes less sim. They are also catering to the core sim fans with pro physics mode where the overblown out of proportion driving assist is now fully removed, Kinect's head tracking, multiple wheels being offered, etc. Of course when someone selectively neglects one side and focuses solely on the other, they tend to think that Forza 4 is a Burnout Revenge type of game.

Your expectations are for FM4 to fail, it's pretty obvious at least to me.
Which other tracks are 'too wide'? PD still working on GT5 is a laugh when they only patch out bugs, add mid series save points 6+months after launch and include more driver horns, helmets and race suits. I would love GT5 to get a big patch/update like GT5P got twice..
The OCD and seasonals though I enjoy but that's accredited to the issues that resided in GT5 at launch more than anything. The seasonals to add events to the game, and the OCD to add cars you coudn't get easily in the UCD (like when 1st launched a pickup truck, FGT, etc were available in the OCD).

I liked New York especially with the chicanes in FM3. It's a great track for photo mode and if you have a very fast car it can get scary trying to tame it fast during the chicanes. This track made me roll cars over on the norm lol. I think only Amalfi full was cut. Not a big fan of that track unless you have a quick nimble lil car. The faster cars stunk on this track.

DLC was in Forza franchise since 2. FM3 added more DLC by adding almost 1 DLC per month. This isn't new to the series and isn't copying EA. This was expected by anyone who's played Forza in the past.

Just before you fly in with Amalfi it does say the long version has been cut but the short version remains in game.

Forza
The long version of Amalfi Coast was also removed, though the short version remains with some small gameplay modifications.

Holy crap, check out the negative nancy's in this thread, grasping for straws to find anything negative about the "under the hood 2" update. I found the update to be freakin' awesome by EVERY possible measure.

Profile Import They gave us information that told us we could have up 17 cars inherited from our FM3 profile. They will also be gifting us credits from the start as well.

Livery Import They told us that we can import our livery "group" imports, not just flat out livery to livery on the car (due to the new cars). So many of us have so much invested time in our livery groups, this is a great time saver. We can't even import entire designs

Physics All new tire physics. Improved steering physics. Removal of steering aids in simulation mode. Suspension physics updated an improved. Track bumpiness improved. Wind buffeting at high speeds added/improved. Tracks updated for different bumps and elevations from track research and driver feedback. We don't know if this is great at all, they might suck

Performance Index Huge improvement and changes here, and AWD PI fixed, just as the community has asked.

Tracks and Cars Loss of Porsche (boo), which is MANY cars lost. But we are still getting 500 cars (plus 10 in the American Muscle pack), with 120 more cars expected to be added over the year. That is 620 fully detailed cars! Woot! We lost 2 tracks (New York, which sucked) and Sidewinder (which they saw nobody used...and for good reason, it sucked), and two versions of an existing track were removed (boo!), but we are getting new tracks to replace them, including Top Gear, Hockenheim and the new Alps, with more to be announced! Not great but not bad

Autovista They informed us that we are getting 25 cars at the start, with information now stating that we will be able to get more after launch as DLC! Who cares

Unicorn cars More Unicorn cars, and a special auction house tab specifically for Unicorn cars. Great news!

Weather and Night racing Bad news here. We get neither. The good news is, they explained why. Hardware limitations and production schedule. Love their openness here. That said, the has confirmed that some tracks will have different time of day, and different track temperatures.
  • Single player changed from 8 cars to 12 cars
  • Multiplayer changed from 8 cars to 16 cars This is great 👍
  • Different time of day for select tracks
  • Profile and Livery Import Livery import seems stupid
  • Performance Index Updated
  • 500+ Fully modeled cars (100 new models if you pre order or buy it on first day, otherwise 90)
  • Kinect Head Tracking Who would use this?
  • Autocross
  • Top Gear Soccer/Football
  • Rivals Mode
  • Car Clubs
  • New lighting engine
  • Weekly/Monthly Race Events
  • Custom Lobbies
  • New tracks

Dang, I hope we get games with new features more often!

Fixed.

I don't think it's a big problem being able to import entire designs. I mean if T10 is saying they remodeled all the cars then there might be issues with the full livery import. But vinyl groups being imported are a different story since you can just paste the group onto a car.

I'm actually looking forward to use my Kinect with head tracking. It's a core sim feature I never tried on PC. I was kind of excited to hear GT5 would utilize it but then it kind of stunk and I never bought a PSeye for it.

^ Spongey

Livery: Well, the cars are remodeled and made more accurate with new lighting, I supposed they didn't want to have them import then look like ass. Importing our groups will save us hundreds of hours from having to recreate the livery from scratch.

Physics: You and I don't know this, but members here on this forum that have played the game know this.

Autovista: Many of us here care

Headtracking: Many of us here plan on using it, including me.

I can't believe spongey is not going to use her Kinnect for headtracking.

Can't believe they're removing Rally di Positano! That was as close as we got to a free-roam track. :(

How was that small, slow, cramped track a free roam track?

Admittedly, I'm not fan of city tracks in general, so I don't mind losing it.

No, me neither. Although I would like to see some of the fantastic real-life street circuits like Monaco, Valencia and Macau.

I'm not too sad to see Rally di Positano go. I rarely raced that track, it just didn't appeal to me.

Head Tracking is awesome. Not sure why someoen wouldnt use it. I am buying Kinect just for it.

It was a must for Flight Sims, and Military games.... using Freetrack and TrackIR. I am a little surprised actually it isnt in use in more games...like FPS's.

Fujimi Kaido, Nurburgring and full positano were going to be my infinite car tracks.

The mode where T10 put infinite slower cars on for a track day vibe.

I think the full positano track would have done well.

Maybe even take a DB5 out and try my tire shredders. Or maybe a mini in an Italian job scene lol.

I'm confused, where does it say that Rally di Positano won't be in FM4?

Nevermind, I see it. Oh well, not my personal favorite from FM3.

Infineon 👍

Because you could drive around it as if you were just out for a Sunday drive and not race it, so it's in the sense of free-roam being driving sensibly and not racing.

I hated the full Amalfi and am glad it's gone, I would much rather race Fujimi as at least it has some higher speed portions instead of just constant turns.

Those sort of Mediterranean switchbacks are the meat and potatoes of European road racing.

Perhaps in little original Mini Cooper's, but anything larger than said Mini is too big and the only way to pass is touring car style bump and runs.
