When you see people producing stuff like below, you know a licence plate is not an issue.

That is simply epic, and I mean EPIC!

hm??? try doing it as a layer group first then put in on the car. or did you accidentally flip it with the scale function?

Yeah, try what JJ72 said and create it as a livery group and just be careful not to flip it when placing it on the car.

This ^. Make sure you do not have negative values for the scale function. If you need help I can make one for you and send it to you. I ride with a sexy black and white Texas plate with "VILE" on it.... Ya-yuh.

I have a postive 2 or 3 on some letters.

Create the entire vinyl in the vinyl editor, do not use the the "Apply Decals" feature.

1- Create the background for the plate (with positive values for everything).

2- Add in your letters, numbers, etc. (again with positive values).

3- Save it as a vinyl group.

4- Go to the Apply Decals section and select the rear bumper. Add vinyl group and place it in the correct position. If it is backwards at this point try a negative X value to reverse it (scale function). If that doesn't work attempt it on another vehicle.

Remember, on some cars it is impossible to place a license vinyl in the correct license plate position. On others livery creating can be a pain due to modeling.

The problem I had with license plates is that they can't always fit on the front bumper! Looks odd having a perfect one on the back (spent ages making German ones with the city crests on them) but not being able to put them on the front or having very small ones in odd places.

Wish this was in the Forza vs GT thread !

Looks awesome, seen so many good livery designs that I could never create ! I even bought a few someone on here made - there used to be an FM3 Livery Creations thread or similar !

There was a lot of people making Gran Turismo designs - I can see that not happening in FM4 after how great[/sarcasm] GT5 is!

Yeah...guys....my bad. I totally forgot about making our own plates using the Livery, and I even bought one on the auction house (Wisconsin Plates). I had a DUH moment. :(

It's cool. I'm pretty sure we all have those moments from time to time. You also probably don't play FM3 as much as you used to. It's easy to forget tricks of the trade sometimes.

Looks exactly the same as FM3...

Am I the only one not seeing a difference with IBL?

Yes.
