Can't compare ingame stuffs yet 'cause we've not seen a non-pre-rendered in-game video of Forza 4. Also...anyone notice the complete lack of shadows in Forza 4. It makes they're cars look a little cartoony compared to GT5
Look up. Read my post. Dan showed in-game footage when they interviewed him. Can't compare ingame stuffs yet 'cause we've not seen a non-pre-rendered in-game video of Forza 4. Also...anyone notice the complete lack of shadows in Forza 4. It makes they're cars look a little cartoony compared to GT5

GT5 photomode forum says it all.
And it's funny they put the XFR there, but well...and the Mt. Aso...![]()
It's funny who put the XFR there?
*Didn't watch the video if that's what you're referring to*
Wait. What....Some of them do look better on FM4, however, it is unfair to compare interior FM4 screenshots vs. GT5's, in my humble opinion. FM4 has been developing an entire mode on getting inside the car, looking around the cockpit and stuff, no? GT5 doesn't have that, and as such is not that detailed on interiors.
The Ferrari one looks way better on GT5, however the one where the red car is on the Eiger Nordwand looks way better on FM4.
Time will tell.
This is suppose to be the best track in Forza4:
Actually the Team VVV footage finally gives me hope that Forza is hiring some legitimate orginial track designers. That track actually looks pretty fun whereas the majority of original tracks in F3 I did not particularly enjoy.
That is the thing that's irked me about Forza - the fantasy track design.
GT has always had some original tracks with questionable locations (closed circuits with a tiny guardrail and 500ft drop, mountain in the middle of every track, etc). That said, a few of the Forza 3 ones were just not firing on all cylinders at all as far as the art direction. Too whimsical, almost like a touch of Wipeout snuck into them. And bright, colourful paint and bricks all over the track surface just to give the eye something to look at. Not as bad as NFS Shift's transgressions, but still not that great.
I think the GT5 game engine is sorely underappreciated for how well it gives surfaces real textures and weight. I want to love Forza, but in that video above it looks like everything is made from plastic.
Wait. What....

Since it is switzerland I think the comparision goes with nordwand in GT5:

GT5 has more realisitc lighting
And that's my main problem with Forza's graphics. In that video, the car almost looked like a toy. The cars are just WAY too shiny in Forza...
