Please forgive my ridiculous question, but how do I join a race with club members? I've entered my info in your google doc, got a number, and you've friended me through live.

I'm new to online racing in general, and I've never been in a club before. Do I have to send an invite to whatever club members happen to be online and racing? I'd much prefer to race with people that have similar goals/standards in racing than being subject to the whim of the general lobbies.

Sorry for the newbie questions, but I want to race with you guys!!

We have races every Saturday at 2pm est. You can find the info you need here

ANNOUNCEMENT:

I am happy to announce the plan for weekly (2pm est) Saturday club racing. Every Tuesday I will announce a specific Rivals event to be used for qualifying. This qualifying event will start immediately upon announcement and will end on Fridays at midnight est. This method of qualifying rewards clean and fast drivers. The top 12 in the event will be invited to race, the remaining 4 spots will go to whoever gets in first when I send the full club invite however club leaders are entitled to the 4 provisional spots first. This method of qualifying will both help the club's ranking, give us a method of qualifying, and give us cleaner racing on Saturdays.

Also you can invite members to race at any time. Just go to race online>create lobby, then at the bottom it has an option to invite club members. When you select that option it sends an invite to all club members that are playing FM4 at that moment.

P.S. Check out pages 19 and 23 for pictures from the races you missed.

I know we have warmups before 2pm, but how about some at like 1:30pm as well maybe?

Warmups actually start at 2pm (or maybe 5 minutes earlier), then the race starts around 2:15pm. Feel free to run practice laps before then. I just think if we start running races too early then it's easy to loose track of time then we end up starting too late for some people since the race is on the longer side. Not to mention I need time before the race to set my car up. ;)
 
Sweet I'm in. After failing miserably with a Range Rover I finally decided to go with the Lotus. Also just scored a DBS for a cool 30,000 at the Auction House:tup:
 
I plan on making todays races, thing is I may not be on for very long due to injury's.

i just missed the big race, but I was able to be a back marker for the 2 shorter spec races. :D
 
zr1chris, sorry it took me so long to figure out how to join you guys. I got in on the Road Atlanta race where I smashed up someone (possibly marmiteengineer?) toward the end of lap 4. I had a fast 'vette breathing down my neck. Apologies to whoever I hit; I locked my brakes.

So do most of you guys use headsets or not? Another thing I'm not familiar with . . .

Hopefully as I join more events I'll get the hang of how things work. And get better in my racing!

My 1st real tune, so well chuffed with the win :D
 
You were driving the black Aston right? I pulled over becaus you were pushing me to go harder, but the loaner couldn't and I didn't want to take the risc to run off track.. After that you were a second faster per lap!

I know I did since I couldn't control that damn thing to save my life(and you were lapping me).

I'm useless in FR cars above A class.:lol:

I will be able to put some real effort into next week as I'm vacation and will have nothing else to do.

Overall it was pretty clean. I got turned around at the beginning but rallied to take 3rd. It got a bit spread out after a while. Every time I thought I was closing the distance on you I would screw up a corner. Would have been nice if we could got a few more members to participate. It was a bit quiet today.

**** Sorry guys but I forgot to save the replay of this race. If anyone knows the rest of the finishing order please let me know. Also sorry I wont be able to post pictures since I didn't save the replay. Sorry guys.

In the future if a few of you dont mind saving the replays just in case I forget again just as a backup (so you can gift it to me later on) that would be cool. 👍 After the race I'll let you guys know if I got it or not. If I got it then you can just delete your copy if you don't want it.

For those of you on the US soil, when you ordered your wheel, how long did it take?

It's about time. :p We need a few more guys for Saturdays. We only had up to 9 guys today and that didn't last long. 6 seemed to be the average.

Yeah we do need some more guys. We have over 80 members, I'd figure we would be able to fill up a lobby.
 
My connection seems fine normally.
I had one person lag on me in the one race I did mange.

Rokkit ship was...well a rocket, he was flying everywhere lol.

I did see a bit a lagging the first couple races but then it went away.
 
Sorry I couldn't make it. Still building my dads shed, and I think it will take a few more Saturdays. Hopefully once we get that finished. I can start racing with you guys again.
 
I didn't have much work to do in the studio today so I could have raced with you guys had I known qualifiers weren't going to show up. I kept putting off trying to qualify this whole week and just ended up not bothering with it.
 
I woke up at like 6am for some strange reason (went to sleep at 2am), saw the invite, thought about it for a second and then fell asleep again. Just woke up properly. (12pm)
