I'm thinking of entering for the 300, has there been much need for qualifying so far this season or has turnout been under 16?

Not at all yet, despite Furi saying every week that we'd need it.

At the very least, there will be an update on or around April 9th as well, possibly. I'd expect a bug fix patch before then since there's so much that got broken with the update.
