Those 2 series are good enough reason for me to buy PS3.

Any Xbox games worth playing can be played on Computer and my computer is good enough so no Xbox360 for me.

iceburns - PS3 doesn't need to have "games out" because we know that certain titles are coming out, killer applications, games that will sell regardless of their game quality, because of their namesake.

And GT4 was running on a NINE, yes NINE giga byte DVD. Now let's upgrade all those textures you compared PGR3 with (yes, the low quality textures of GT4) and upgrade them. Now look what you have, A GAME THAT WON'T FIT ON ONE DVD.

I didn't buy a XBox 360, and I don't think I ever will. The boys and I played one yesterday, and it wasn't anything that was spectacular that warranted me to purchase it. It looks good though, and I'm excited to play PS3 games since it will have slightly better graphics. But, that's not the reason why I want a PS3.

All these features wont be handled by the 360. Plus, there are no good games I want for the 360.

I can tell you Xbox360 is a terrible buy for the non online gamer. Absolutly nothing new to offer other than better graphics. Zero Hardware innovations(USB ports?) and $60 games. It should be worth it once it goes down in price if you are not a big Xbox fan. By then if should have at least 3 killer apps that wont come out for PC I expect the 2nd generation of game to all run at 60fps..

And the Core system is a joke....

Dreamcast was a must have system, It was the first console to truely bring arcade graphics home. Sould Calibur and NFL2K were groud breaking games in terms of graphics for home consoles. 60fps(Madden for Xbox360 is what 30?) gameplay with jaw dropping never before seen visual at home. PS2 brought DVD to the masses and was the first console to offer out of box backwards compatibilty(nintendo did it with addons and still does. It also proved to be good with expansion and peripherals to expand gameplay possibilities(DFP, Eye-Toy, Network adapter/ Headset, and the ill fated HDD.

Xbox360 brings very little new to the table just like Xbox. All its innovations involve online play. Its very much like Master system to Genisis(newest feature was adding one more button).

LaBounti, people can be themselves. If that means everyone has to be an immature fanboy, so be it. I just cant stand to see loads and loads of people fight over whos dog is bigger. It's like politics and religion, you won't change someones mind. Fanboys stick to their console even if everything about it wrong. The fighting will never stop.

I have many hobbies outside of the internet by the way. Last year at graduation I was voted most athletic in my senior class. I was also voted Homecoming King. I go to church regularly and I work. On the weekends I'm at parties being the sober driver for people.

Your user profile says that your interests are car design and Diablo 2. Your occupation is being a house sitter. Nice hobbies.

I was liking the actual Xbox vs PS3 posts better than this "I was elected Homecoming queen" thing. Some people here are just stupid fanboys with nothing to add, but most of them have fairly good points to each side and it's a good read.

I think not, first time I picked up a PS I was using it fine, first time I picked up the xBox I got the right and left mixed up, it was ugly. I like that there's a "light" button though so you can turn on and off the light in halo.

I've never used the right analog stick on my PS2 controller because it's just so out of the way and awkward to use.

IIRC, Sony first had the idea to make their console a multi-media hub with the PLAYSTATION 2. So how on EARTH Sony can copy that from MS...when they first coined the term ages ago for their older console...is beyond me. +1 for IGNorant writers.

They knock PS3 for what will "eventually" come out, etc etc, then all they do in the end is talk about what will "eventaully" come out on the 360? Please.

Again, solid proof that fanboy's will be fanboy's and feel the need to "defend" their system because of "fear" etc etc. IGN wants to sell everyone on the 360 because if they don't, the console dies, it's already getting a lot of negative hype, and the news isn't helping. I was watcing Good Morning America and THEY were talking about the 360 crashing etc etc...come on now. If that's not bad media, I dunno what is. We'll see how this pans out.

The ps2 is a multimedia hub? Your kidding right? A crap dvd player hardly makes it a multimedia hub mate. Companies copy each other, they have done for years. If Sony copied xbox live, would people REALLY complain? No.

Yes it has all the ports and connections for a normal TV, but you can only hook it up to two TV's if one or both is high def.

I'll wait for a price drop or until I get my HDTV. Then they should have a game I'd feel comrtable paying $60 for. Seems I have the same reasons for not getting an xbox. I didnt miss anything either. Heck I didnt even play may of the ps2 block busters.

And I still use my ps2 as a DVD player,alwasy have and its good to me. I've never bought a DVD player in my life.
