Add your support here for individual gear ratio settings in next update here chaps..đź’ˇ
 
Go to the question mark on the transmission customizing screen. It clearly professes as though you have the choice to select individual gears. It will come, give it time.
 
Yes troux i know that, wouldn't you want it sooner than later.
If PD keep track of this forum(which i'm sure they do) and see alot of support for this function they might implement it quicker.
 
Even prologue had this feature, I was really disappointed when I found out it wasn't in the full game.
 
I think this won't be the #1 on their to do list as about 90% of the average player will not use it in another way as they use it now.

But yes I would like to see it too, but only because it was in all the previous GT games I've played.
 
Yeah with all the updates I'm surprised this hasn't been fixed yet. Seems like so many things are being overlooked and pointless things are being changed/added.
 
This and the ability to save multiple setups would be greatly appreciated.
 
Everyone who winges that they don't have this full customisation available to them, can I just ask, do you all actually know how to set up a transmission?

I can only speak for myself, but yes. And I know of many, many, many other people on these forums that can too.
 
I don't think I've ever used a full custom trans since GT1 without editing the ratios.
 
I was hoping it would be in this one. Im not bragging but I made some cars that started first on the grid (through BHP) in prologue and absolutely destroyed all opposition online. Gear ratios are massively important. Before the BHP change I had an EVO 10 that was virtually standard and would hammer anything on FUJI. Likewise for High Speed Ring.

Sorry forgot to vote...I want it now...

The guy who said "does anyone know how to set up a gearbox".....Well I do it by feel...I drive a car round a track and guage shifts and corner gears. If I have to change down too many gears for a corner then find im changing up mid corner I alter the ratios to fit :) just a tip im no car tuner IRL.

I too am surprised at this. I modified gear ratios in Prologue a lot. Suzuka with the F40, was one that comes to mind. Needs to be added as does the abiliity to save multiple setups.

In real life I write them down....I guess the save function saves on paper...In game your just giving the Engineers the setup and they do it.....
 
well yea after all it is a "customizable tranny" not a rear end gear change. just one of my sad points in this game :ouch:

Sorry M8 I read your post and replied I think....Problem is the more you put in it the more vague it gets...I dont work for PD m8 but if I looked at your thread id sack it in a moment...Its not really about issues its become more of a wish list....I would like all the things in your thread but its not gonna happen...sorry!...sorry im not trying to patronise you!!!! This thread is more focused on a specific issue!

It's not finished yet. I'm trying to get the list pared down to the essentials - it's basically a requirement for being taken seriously.
 
Yes this is the first thing I checked when the 1.05 update finished :(

Fully customisable gear ratios and final drive ratios please!

Of course, but we all want everything sooner than later. The game is clearly not finished, that's why we've had almost a GB of patches with plenty more to come. Obviously, this change is not only on the way, but planned from the beginning, so just give it time. There isn't a manager at PD saying, "Bad news, team: some guy on the forums wants to tune his video game trannies. You'll all have to work through Christmas."

It's coming, and frankly it can come last. There's a lot more needed changes before this one, which is pretty much promised anyways just by looking at the game.
 
I actually thought it was a bug after buying a "fully customisable gearbox" that i couldnt tune every gear seperatly..

So +1 on this one!
