Funny Licence Plates

For three months I used Washington D.C. license plates U21DAY on my Volvo. While I had those plates on, I was pulled over twice and was involved in three accidents. This spring and summer I used U.S. Virgin Islands license plates DCCCL, which were the roman numerals for 850, the model of my car. The plates were hilarious fun - people noticed them at nearly every stoplight - though few people ever did work out what they meant. Here's a shot with the Virgin Islands tags. I still have every set of plates I've ever used.

I don't get the S2000 one. :(

Did you ever see Fast and the Furious?

I swear - Virginians are the most creative with their vanity plates. Once I was driving through Virginia and I saw Virginia plate MSP RET on a blue Volvo C70. I'm not sure if it was true or not, but I bet it got him out of a lot of tickets!

Who hasn't, lol. I still don't get it. >.<

Speaking of Virginian's, my cousin's plate on his S10, is "HOOS 007" He goes to UVA, graduates in 2007.:)

Military Service Personnel Retired?

Maryland State Police - Retired. Although he was referring to the plate on the S2000, which was a line from the movie. I can't remember who said it, but I think it was at Race Wars. Brilliant film, by the way.

There's a Colorado plate at an establishment I frequent which is WAHOOWA. It's also adorned with two UVA stickers.

Guarantee it's been taken. As every riceboy with an S-chassis 240sx will want it.

On a VW new beetle: BUG4MOM

The minicoop down the street: VVVVVVV

That one's pretty hard to read unless you are close and study it for awhile.

a917 fan--1337 HAX means in English 'leet hacks'. leet means in 13375p34k (leetspeak, a kind of computer slang) "elite". HAX means hacks. These two expressions probably originated from video games

It still doesn't make sense. And that's not English.

Tags of that format are issued in Miami-Dade. You're right - it was randomly issued. Lots of weird stuff can come out of Florida, including A55 RGY, with the orange in the center serving as an O making the tag into "ASS ORGY."

I've seen that one in person. 👍

The best one I saw was few years ago. "DMV-SUX". To the guys from outside the U.S., DMV is the department that issues the plates.

I saw a strange one a while back of a Vauxhall Vectra Estate with the number plate 152A OPEL I was like it isnt even a Opel its a cheap Vauxhall!

Ive seen a peugeot 106 with N** on its plates but it wasn't personalised.
Heres some others ive seen:
J28 00BY i say this on a scooby but i think it looks more like 8OOBY
28 TAT on a range rover
K155 ITT looks like kiss it.

How do you know? That could very well be a personalized plate. Just because it's not a low or repeating number doesn't mean it's not personalized.

I guess it could be.

The koenigsegg CCX i put up in the 'did you see anything good today' thread just had 5 numbers, unusual !
