...Forgive me, but I don't quite see the humor in this particular bit of news about a drowned person. Maybe it's just me. Maybe not....
Imagine this:

You're walking along, playing Pokémon GO, and see a nice Pokémon you want. And then...Under the Pokemon.

What is that?

Wait, oh 🤬!

Prude!!

Disappointing though that Pokemon Go wasn't around to make Alan Kurdi's death hilarious. We had to be all sad and stuff.

...Me, prude?!
I was using sarcasm to imply that I agreed with your take on the presenting of the "funny" story. That it was in very poor taste. Sometimes a story will come up or a joke will be told that despite it's sensitive nature is funny as hell, and we might concurrently laugh, and feel bad for laughing. This one just wasn't anywhere near funny enough to push into that territory.

Perhaps this Pokemon Go story will be slightly more amusing - though only in the same way as the Joker's 'magic trick' flourish in The Dark Knight...

(the specific bit might be a hoax, but the fact that the museum had to put a sign up to tell people it wasn't appropriate to play the game there is genuine)

The clefairy inside the church is funny too

The travel advice offered by foreign governments to people travelling to Australia (most of which is wrong, especially the stuff on wildlife and infectious diseases):

To hear some of these governments (*cough*Russia!*cough*) tell it, Australia is like the option dungeon at the end of a video game where everything can kill you just by looking at you.

Australia's wildlife has its ways of dealing with tourists, that think critters like kangaroos are cute and cuddly.

Is rodger cuddly?

A cow is on the run from the butcher for three weeks now (FAZ in german). German police even used a helicopter, the cow was sighted here and there but managed to escape every time with the cops close on her heels. :D I have a feeling this will not end well for her. :indiff:
