G27 gt4 ps2

I'm sure this has an answer somewhere already, not sure what to search exactly, sorry.

I have the G27 wheel and am contemplating buying a used PS2 for GT4. Will my G27 be as I expect? FFB like GT5?

I only know, that G25 (and Porsche Wheel in PS3 mode as well) works fine with PS2 and GT4.

The g27 works fine with a ps2, the force feedback is obviously abit different as it's a different game, but it's definitely still recognisable as gran-turismo. I say go for it, though you can't use the shifter, only the paddles.

I fired up GT4 last weekend for the sake of running the old tracks. It works, but it's unsupported. You can't (re)map any buttons and like Gdog96 says, you can't use the shifter.

You can enjoy it in limited amounts though. GT4 is still a much bigger challenge than GT5.
