Maybe, to make the Video in the OP with the current replay setup took me ages the new function should speed up time in creating a video conciderably. The only problem is finding the time to put it all together maybe 1 every two or three weeks we will see. I will however be making a highlight video for the entire season when it is said and done.

Cool , any video we have here will feature some great driving .
A highlights video sounds great too.

Good test session last night , did a 1:21.7xx on a high fuel load . Setup feels consistent & responsive with some awesome lift-off oversteer dialled in at the rear. Car's dialled in well , ready for a fun race. 👍

A word of caution for the Corkscrew though ...... I drive with the roof cam & look behind , left & right of me at regular intervals using the D-Pad on my DFGT . BUT , if anyone tries to outbrake me at this corner , I might not see it coming & take my line as usual , in doing so this will probably end badly for both drivers.

So basically what i'm saying is just be careful here in the race if you are the chasing driver , as there's only 1 truly safe line through here and 2 cars into1 racing line rarely works.....

Just my thoughts guys . If anyone has a different opinion on the Corkscrew then I automatically respect that . :)👍

Here are some photos from Laguna Seca at last months ALMS race.

Cool pics. 👍 Must have been fun. I'll have to make the trip next year as it's not all that far from my house.

I notice from the video all of those cars are using the inside line on the corkscrew... either they have racing softs, a better setup than me, or GT5 has that cliff on the inside a little exaggerated.

I agree. The risks outweigh the benefits unless you really get a run from the previous corner and can basically make the pass well before the turn in... I don't see myself trying a pass here unless I'm along side the other car well before the brake zone. Hopefully race day adrenaline doesn't tempt me to do anything stupid there. You'll lose time trying to outbreak and fudge the pass through the corkscrew... better places to pass on the track without losing time.

I'm way behind in practice this week. Probably have to adopt Hydro's strategy of just keep it on the track and "steady as she goes"... Hopefully I can execute as well as he did last week.

+1 👍

I'll be able to get some more laps in tomorrow , just to keep me in the groove . If there's a good field spread after a few laps then it will just be business as usual .

Sounds like a good strategy . Picking up good points is always vital .

I've spent countless hours at that turn and I agree it just seems "off" to me. I think next year I may have to spring for a parade lap to really check it out:sly:

Just wanted to let you guys know I will not be able to make it sunday.

👎

Good luck

Not good to hear mate , hope you have a good race . 👍
I'm just aiming for points on the board & to have some fun battles like Suzuka . :)

New laptime of 1:21.269 on high fuel .

It was a perfect lap , don't think there's anything else left in the car to go any quicker .

I am getting the points all together for today will have it posted later today with the penalties very impressed with Suzuka really good battles all around the track there are some penalties but not to big so stay tuned...

Finally starting to see low 1'21s at Laguna with my personal best at 1'21.137 on a full tank. Really on edge to run that speed and can probably find another 0.3 with the perfect lap, but that would be about the limit without adjusting setup. I'm using the *exact* same setup as Fuji and Suzuka except for the transmission.

There really was some great racing . Looking forward to seeing the table . 👍

Nice time WRP . Qualifying will be close I think.

Looking forward to give this a try.

thought i made up for that when i slowed back down, cat jumped on my pedals leaving pit lane, stupid feline!!

Nice table . Hoping for a good result today. 👍

Would like to know who i wrecked or hit that was avoidable not mad at all just wondering what it was thats all?

The Reason behind the penalties was that Dragon you crossed the pit line and king you got into Brettcee.

Free Practice will be open in 45 mins in my lounge

Excellent Racing today guys!See you all at Indy in 1 week!

Everyone's speed here is amazing! I cannot believe the way you guys pull away.

👍 to both comments!

Some seriously fast guys up front today.
Nice racing guys!

Did my best to get out of everyone's way, as I was just lame this morning...Dam Laguna (dam NSX, dam slow driver)

How the 🤬 did the top drivers do so well with the off track / spins? :sly:

See you in a week 👍

Hi im interested in the free spot. And wonder what car is available?

Everyone's speed here is amazing! I cannot believe the way you guys pull away.

I was able to run comfortably in 3rd for a while,my pace was good but I wasn't pushing hard enough in the early laps to maintain it.I made 2 mistakes in the race, the first one was losing the car just after turn 6 on the Rahal straight & slamming into the barrier on the left. The second mistake was on the exit of the same corner again but just dipping my wheels in the gravel.

Both times I believe that I lost a place to WRP.Great thinking from him & the other guys in switching to the 1 stop,a strategy I was considering before race day actually, but I decided 2 stops was the best route. How wrong I was lol.

I think a 3rd or a 4th was a realistic target today but ultimately i'm happy with 6th & points on the board. 👍

As far as speed goes, the real secret is just practice, practice, practice.A quick and well set up car also goes a long way too,but getting the miles down is key. :)👍

I wasn't really planning on a one stop strategy until I T-boned KK on the Rahal straight on lap 2. By the time my engine repaired itself I think only KK was behind me. At that point I didn't have much to lose and was hoping others did 2 stops. Was fun to make some passes through the field again, but that is getting tiring... rather just stay up front instead of having an incident *every* race in the first couple laps.

Anyway, here is the leader board video so you can each analyze your own race:

I haven't really watched it myself... I'll probably post a race report later when I have a chance to take a look at it.

Great upload as always WRP , always appreciate seeing these.

I came close to KK too , but I had the benefit of arriving earlier so there was less smoke blocking my vision & I turned right.

He still went on to beat me in the race though , so great comeback from him too. 👍

Had a little coming together with Nepalli turn 5, thought I gave enough space but we came together and you went face first into the barrier...You won eventually so all is well...(sorry anyway)
I had the abilty to post low 1:20's but it means I have to take risks in the corner which I went off. I saw Dragon starting to pull away from me so I had to take risks which meant to wheels on the gravel which led to 'you know what'...Was stupid of me to do that...Ruined my team mates race as well as mine...Hope to bounce back in Indy..Team Nissan for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th in Indy..;)

Unlucky mate. I'll take 5th at Indy if it's going free !:lol:
