Were you guys practising on the time/weather change version of the track or just the normal 2009 version?

My fastest was a 3:52:1xx

is that with tire wear on or off?:guilty:

Tire wear on...Grip set to real...What times you setting?

353 flats with motul autech, took around the calsonic and ran mid 352s

does n e one want 2 run some practice laps?

I am going to get some testing in hopefully tonight around 9:00pm EST

Dibs on Takata as a reserve driver. Wish there was a GT-R other than the Wood.

I don't think king will be showing up so if its ok with gamesta the motul autech would be available, and also like to hear from terriblef1 as he drives the calsonic but didn't attend last weekend.

It seems like PD had a massive dislike for the Woodone . :guilty:
Doesn't do Advan very much good publicity in the process . :ouch:

OK sounds good. Seems like I could use a roll call from King and Tf1.

Which is unusual because Terrible was practicing with us at Spa last Thursday. I guess something came up.

I'm just about to start practicing in my lounge. Anybody is free to join me.

is everyone have a problem with the servers?

No problems here, enyaw.

What I ran today was a race sim. Best lap came on lap 8 (3'56.306) as the sun was setting. It got properly dark on lap 10 and remained that way through the rest of the sim run. At night, I couldn't run break 4 minutes no matter my tire situation, and was running 4'01-4'05(depending on the shape of the tires). I had a lot of trouble spotting my braking points for Tertre Rouge and the first Ford Chicane. Dunlop wasn't trouble free either. I'm not looking forward to night running, and especially overtaking at night. I make far more mistakes even when I back off quite a bit.

I was running the time change setting of 10 today. What are we going to be running on race day?

dunno whats going on tonight , getting a server error half the time i'm switching rooms

Getting there, running 4:01:5's.

I went offline WRS style and raced with my ghost for a while to figure out better lines. Dropped over 4 seconds from my best offline time to 3'50.9 and I could probably knock off another second if this were the WRS.

Now I have to translate that back to online and add the usual 0.75-1.5 seconds which should put me at low 3'52. But if I correct a few spots mid 3'51 should be possible on optimal tires.

This track is bumpy as heck and throws off car balance... Do you tuners soften springs and/or mess with ride height? I'm still using Fuji setup which can't be good here (or nordschleife).

For what it's worth I raised ride height and softened, I thought my wheel was gonna start smoking! Beside the fact that it was fatiguing.

I threw my car offline and ran mid 349s!! must be a bigger difference with this big track offline to online. For le mans I like to use positive ride heights, medium spring rates, med to med high dampers and roll bars, stock camber(for now), and close to 0 on the toe angles(like it higher in the rear and tune drivetrain to oversteer it more will help with tire wear i think). Very smooth balanced ride on this track.

I'm using my Spa Spec suspension layout which gives good cornering grip & has a smooth ride over the bumps.... of which there are many .

So , my ride height / spring rate & every else is the same . It's finally where I want it to be across all surfaces .

You could try a back to back comparison lap with high ride height & soft springs versus low ride & stiff springs , just to gauge time gain versus loss ....

Other than that you would have to copy KK's setup . I think he will be the man to beat on Sunday . :)

I'll let you guys in on a secret...My tune in Fuji is the same I've been using in EVERY race...

doesn't work for me here at all. car way too bumpy and unbalanced with my fuji tune. My tunes are different each and every week. Here I'm faster with my modified tune, just trying to figure out how ur getting over 9 tenths on me, i've aced every turn at max speed without going out of bounds in any of the chicanes or first few turns.

The first of the last chicanes: I barely brake through here...First time I've ever taken that line and that much speed in a Super GT car...

ya me either. I've put hundreds of laps in here previously. maybe its just my car cuz i'm pretty dang close to your time with a calsonic.

Are you talking about the first chicane in the Ford chicane "duo"? You can't go through there without braking? I'm in 6th gear going 170+ mph at that point and drop down 3 gears under braking! You must be talking about Maison blanche.

well i'm hoping hes talking about maison blanche or the porsche curves, ya the ford chicane needs more braking to run it without cutting.

Porsche curves into Maison Blanche i'd say . I'm carrying tremendous speed through there which , interestingly enough , might be a byproduct of the new physics from 2.0 .....?

I'm also a little slower in the dark around the track as other drivers have mentioned themselves.

Yeah the first part of the ford chicanes...Im still breaking when im at the apex....Porshe curves is also done with small lift offs....

I go through Ford ( 1 ) in 4th . Impressed that you're on the limit through there . 👍
Ford ( 2 & 3 ) are 2nd to 3rd gear for me.

Practice laps anyone?
Lounge is open if anyone wants to join..

Any update on the points check Gamesta? I've updated the google spreadsheet to now include Spa (which you said had no penalties). Just need to cross check a couple things from the historical events. I think it's close anyway... but points are not official until Gamesta says they are.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...GMdExtRExsZXlMRzdBcy1LWktzeDAybEE&output=html

When you finish your verification we can post a static image of the driver & team points to the thread.

I'm pretty sure the top 8-9 driver points are accurate so looks like Dragon has a 117 point lead with 4 events remaining. We basically need him to slip up badly twice in order to catch him.

Remarkably, after a bad race as Laguna and missing 3 straight weeks Killa is still in fourth. He can thank Hydro's points eliminating car change for at least one of those positions.

The team points didn't match Gamesta's previous output so those are only approximate. Basically it's anybody's game at this point. Could come down to who shows up to race. If all 4 of the Nissan drivers (Terrible wherea are you?) show up for the remaining races it's going to be a hard team to catch.

I'm still working on the points to make sure they are perfect and will be up tomorrow latest. I also have a lobby open now for some testing at Sarthe for the next hour or so all are welcome to join.

The Race will be run at 1/10 for time and will start at 3:00pm (Gran Turismo Time) during Qualification and a 4:00pm (Gran Turismo Time) start.
