Heh.
To sum up the show, Gilligan's Island was a comedy show. Before the show started as it were, Gilligan(don't know what he was supposed to do), The Skipper(boat driver), Ginger(a movie star), The Howells(elderly millionaires), the professor(physisist if I remember), and Mary-Ann(didn't know what she did) were going to take a 3 hour tour in the Pacific ocean, but there was a terrible storm and they hit a rock and ended up washed up on a deserted island. They spend the episodes coming up with ways to leave the island, how to make things better there, and just living, all of which Gilligan usually screws up in some way. On the last episode of the show...I think it was the last...they finally get rescued and taken back to California, where they left from.
The begining song went something like "...set off from this tropic port for a 3 hour tour, a three hour tour. The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed...something something something...no phone, no lights, no motor car, not a single luxury. Like Robinson Curuso, it's primitive as can be. The group set ground on the shore of this incharted desert isle, with Gilligan, the skipper too, the millionaire and his wife. The movie star, the professor and Mary-Ann, here on Gilligan's Island."
The last time I saw an episode was years and years ago so I don't remember the whole song. It was a great show.
Many people hated it cause the professor was able to make a radio from coconuts, yet no one ever thought of patching the relitively small hole in the Minnow(thier boat that they crashed on the island with). They also made exercise bikes, a stage, huts, all kinds of things. Patching a hole would be nothing for them, but it was never put in the show. The friggen boat was parked right on the beach and they never thought of fixing it.
Also the show left many many things un-answered. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but what happened to thier houses they left that morning they got on the boat? Thier cars they parked at the docks? How could they make it to a deserted island when there really isn't one close off of California? How were there other humans on the island(there were a few jungle people in various eposodes)?
It was still a great show though.
