I don't think it's on TV Land - Gilligan's Island isn't that old. I often see old episodes of Andy Griffith on TV Land, and that was in 1960.

Gilligan's Island was a TV movie that first aired in 1964. It was aired again in 1965 and became a regular TV series in 1966. It was on air for only three seasons, 66, 67 and 68. There are only 99 episopdes.

Notice Mary-Ann never had her belly button exposed. It wasn't allowed. She also wore false front teeth because they thought her front teeth looked to much like baby teeth.

It was never said in an episode, but Gilligan's first name was Willie. the Skipper's real name was Jonus Grumby, and the Professor's name was Roy Hinckle.

Gilligan's Island has been aired in 187 different countries. The actors have never received a dime for all of the repeats that have been aired.

Yeah but it's kind of impersonal when you use torpedos, missles, and EXTREMELY large naval cannons.
But nowhere near as large as the cannons on USS New Jersey (BB-62).

I saw the Misourri (sp?) "Big Mo" at the Intrepid Museum in NYC. I understand it's small by modern standards. Kinda' boggles the mind. Same goes for the Intrepid, too!! But the SR-71 on the front of the deck always looks cool as hell as you drive by on the West Side Highway!

I can't remember the last time I was a big ship, and I used to work 5 minutes away from the Quincy Shipyard.
